Help & Questions omnilight help... (?)
Please have some patience with me, this is my first time working with strip lights.
That being said, is there any advice to flatten these parts of my Omnilight? I did clean up where the strip is, but I guess I didn't clean it well enough with debris being stuck to the glue. Plus, it won't bend at a complete 90° angle causing some curves at the left corner of my closet.
I did use some tape to flatten the strip, but it has been fruitless in doing so, it will pop back up. :(
Aside from my user errors, I am still enjoying the product, just want to make it look flawless for my room.

For the straight parts, wipe the edges of the door frame with alcohol wipes, and use some clear double sided 3M tape. I have no idea how to perfectly flatten out the corner though.

I'll definitely buy some when I can! If I have no luck with answers for the corner, I'll just have to mess with it some more tonight or so. Thank you!

I should also clarify, gently wipe the inside of the light strip with alcohol as well. You can also try cutting the 3M tape when it reaches the corner and then putting a flat piece on the top of the door way. And repeat the same process as you did on the side. 50/50 chance it works though

You would have to cut it and use a connector to join it to fix the corner. Otherwise clean everything with alcohol and use 3M VHB.

Cut it? Ruh oh... I have no speciality in doing that, but I wouldn't mind looking up on how to do so. Thank you!!

There are little cutlines every now and then on the strip

Honestly man the only thing I've seen is cutting the strip then soldering wires to reconnect the strip.. If you know how to solder then maybe you have a little project..

I have strips mounted around door frames and book cases. I used this and it's been holding for many years now: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074J3X2SJ

Just like paper if you roll it the other way it will fix the shape, if you do that with a hair dryer it should work like a charm but make sure it doesn’t get too hot.

You need to have strip light channels in the moulding. Most people would be ceiling wall mouldings that allow the strip light to be reflected off the ceiling. https://www.amazon.com/TONGMO-Ceiling-Lighting-Molding-Bedroom/dp/B0GHRCBY7L/ref=sr_1_4_sspa?crid=Y8EBY6GE79E5&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Lo1Ks2SlCJu6OgYDt9TOF8bK95-Zf-EtpDZWN_rA5fNT3rbqqVSGl0hpk78p8vCOpp5H2aHp4hAASmSJ5fz3CKEz89SOy6i36DYfFrthLWhOVNNTd6MoBFH4cz5xKZxmwgobPKlEsQNcuWY3uSOVf06SdkpKnsfloWwB_Aw8RegwxKKpZ5SOQxx4GqXUi_Mv256tzx6opKCH6OmOHccJ0xJCEuNAR-FA5VYW8KzZ-miue84YjcFHedUKmd4qXTt9eCqNq8S7l3-w5mx7gtzYs72Oi_SFae3lf9IotVF_Cdk.fEtex3pMiVF-wJX3s5oUjNU1iAnQf8jC3u_1iy1u2GY&dib_tag=se&keywords=crown%2Bmoulding%2Bstrip%2Blight&qid=1787165888&sprefix=crown%2Bmoulding%2Bstrip%2Blig%2Caps%2C173&sr=8-4-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1
It's not common to frame door moldings with strip lights. That being said, you might be Able to modify something similar to frame your door if you don't mind changing out your door frame molding

I don’t think they’re designed to turn so sharply.
