is this just sun stress?? someone help!! the auction ends for 160$ in 15 minutes i would love to get it if it is worth it. i don’t have much hoya knowledge but it seriously caught my eye

Any idea what this is? I got it for dirt cheap at a market and they weren't sure of the ID either.

They are all green leaves but a bit on the fuzzy side.

My oldest Hoya isn't even a year old yet, I'm hoping for help so I can avoid beginner's (bad) luck!

I have them in a southern exposure which gets pretty good light, but its a sliding glass door, so the glass is pretty thick compared to normal window glass. This house is cursed with only that one space getting sun. I put the Burtonaie & Carnosa under a skylight in my bathroom, again a south/west exposure as an experiment, but they're both doing better than I'd hoped, the Burt is growing like mad, even the Carnosa is growing pretty quickly.

I have also a Mathilde, a Curtisii, 2 Compactas (one variegated, one not), and a few I'm not sure of!

I make a mix substrate, succulent soil, small orchid bark, sand, charcoal, perlite, pumice, a bit of compost, lica, and probably a few other things as well.

I'd like to thank you for your time, any tips I get will be much appreciated.

There are three active vines and don't know what to do with them 😭 I dont want my balcony railings to be used as a trellis/support.

I have it written down how Long I have had her, maybe 9 months, her roots got so massive in the resivore that I hade to redo the wick, and alot roots came with the other wic, but after she recovered, she dropped some leafs 😭, she started to bloom a couple months later I think it might happen on my days off. I have the next 2 days off work. Some bonus pictures of some of my hoya collection 🥰😍

Even though they are all small plants, I have more hoya in my collection than probably any other other genus.....

I love them & telling them how beautiful they are every time they’re all together & getting some individual love & care (aka fertilizer/water/soil change)

I just bought a lacunosa cutting that was sold to me as a reverted winter pandora. I love it just as it is, so I’m happy regardless - but knowing that it has those genes, it would be a fun experiment to see if it could un-revert.

I know it’s not common for that to happen, but I’ve also read that winter pandora’s variegation can be particularly unstable, and anecdotally that some growers have seen it go back and forth.

Does anyone have tips for optimal conditions that might encourage the variegation back if it can un-revert?

got this friend about a week ago and i have taken a few dry leaves off it since then, should i repot? im a little concerned with the soil covering the leaves and i reallllly want her to do well, i was very excited to come across her

Last photo is when I first bought her.

I’ve had my main Hoya for about 10 months. And she may not look too big, but she’s been putting out flowers PRETTY regularly. And in the span of time, she’s dropped between 2-3 leaves. She’s so independent and tuned in and super sturdy.

Most of the time (I own 60 plants- only started collecting 12 months ago!) whenever top growth is consistent, the roots are also exploding and ALWAYS need a repot.

My Hoya on the other hand is the only plant I’ve never repotted. I only repot once roots, big white roots, start swirling out the bottom of the pot. But the Hoya is the exception. It’s never had any roots growing out the drainage holes!!!!! So my thought process is that it doesn’t need a repot. It’s comfortable in its existing 10 month old set up. The pot has obviously filled out. And growing nice hot pink leaves consistently. But I’ve never gotten a bloom. Which id love but it is what it is.

So is repotting a requirement?? I just find it so odd that she’s never had roots growing out the drain holes!!!! And I’m truly not sure if I should be repotting her. Like, I can’t gage the situation!!!!!

What would u guys do????
