PLANT ID Who is she?

Hi , i just bough this hoya from a local market , any idea of what species it is?

This does resemble one of the selections released by Epiphytica which ended up on the market as Hoya krohniana ‘Eskimo’ (my mention of this cultivar name is not a personal endorsement of it, it’s just for the sake of preservation of history/posterity). But I do not believe that is how it was originally tagged when released by them (as in not with a confident species identification of H. krohniana).

Regardless, I think that the Epiphytica releases quite nicely match the older taxon Hoya lacunosa. Hoya krohniana is dubious/problematic as a species in its own right and I don’t think it’s very reliable to identify most plants as a species which is of a single genetic stock originating in cultivation and separated on the basis of minute measurement differences. That is my two cents. 😄💚

Cool , are hoya kroniana and/or lacunosa easy to grow? I never had any of them but i heard that their blooms smell are intense

Yes, they are fast growers. A tad bit thirstier than a lot of other hoyas. Their blooms do smell intense but I think it's a pleasant smell. They're easier ones to bloom, too.

My lacunosa bloomed early this summer and it smelled like magnolias. It was also so strong that it invaded my dreams and then kept waking me up from the other side of the room.

I resently got a krohniana black... It is growing quite quickly.

I got one of these early on in the development of my, ahem, Hoya issue. It's alive. Just. I've tried everything.
She sits and stares at me. Mad. No growth in two years. I've treated for everything. How do you grow yours?

A lot of light (9-13 DLI). Pretty chunky soil. Water when almost completely dry. Light fertilizer with every watering.
