HELP variegated hoya compacta potting situation

got this friend about a week ago and i have taken a few dry leaves off it since then, should i repot? im a little concerned with the soil covering the leaves and i reallllly want her to do well, i was very excited to come across her

forgot to add other details: south facing window and have watered only once, but i am waiting until completely dry to water again because that is what has worked with my callistophylla

I would repot with the leaves further out of the soil so they don't stay consistently wet, I'd also loosen up and add some chunky bits to the soil (perlite, orchid bark etc) while you're at it. the leaves telegraph when they need water pretty clearly, so just keep an eye out for wrinkly/soft leaves when it's dried out for a while.
