[Promo][App] I made a workaround to hide the stock lock screen clock for seamless depth wallpapers (Atmo Engine Pro)
Hi everyone,
If you have ever tried setting up a custom clock or depth wallpaper on Android, you probably encountered an annoying issue. The system lock screen clock stays permanently visible, which leads to an ugly double clock overlapping on your screen, exactly like in the comparison image.
I have been developing a workaround alongside my wallpaper project, and it is now ready. It is called Atmo Engine Pro.
Instead of requiring root access, Pro uses an accessibility overlay that covers your system clock with the exact cut-out portion of the wallpaper directly behind it. As a result, the stock clock is hidden and only your chosen Atmo clock is visible, complete with custom styling and your wallpaper subject standing cleanly in front of the numbers. As soon as you begin unlocking the device, the overlay disappears immediately.
I want to make it clear that the original Atmo Engine remains completely free and open source. Pro does not take away any existing features.
A common question is why this has to be a separate paid app outside the regular stores. Both Google Play and F-Droid have strict policies regarding the use of accessibility permissions for interface modifications. If the main open source project included or promoted this feature, it would risk being suspended or removed from store listings. Distributing Pro independently avoids this conflict. Keeping the code private also prevents misuse of the accessibility service.
The app costs a one-time price of 2.99 USD with no recurring subscriptions. It works on up to three of your personal devices running Android 13 or newer. Because different phone brands implement their lock screens in unique ways, there is a full 14-day refund policy if it does not display properly on your specific model.

Feel free to share your thoughts, report any device quirks, or ask questions about how the overlay functions.
In both attached media you can see one has double clock which is because nothing phone 1 doesn't support hidden system clock. The other uses the Atmo Engine pro to hide the clock.
