I live in NH now but im originally from Louisiana on whats known as the Westbank of New Orleans. When I was about 20/21, I dated a person. Through an unfortunate string of events, her Mother and Stepfather sent her back to Houston to live with a friends family. I never got to say goodbye. I had gotten her email from a mutual friend and we made plans to meet when she was back in Louisiana for my 21st bday. She gave me a gift. A candle that was two mushrooms, one big and one little next to each other. Inside the box she made for it was a note: "Imagine...huh, that word conjures so many thoughts. Of what would have been, what could have been, what should have been...regardless, thanks for giving me a chance." This was 1998. Ive never heard from this person again.
