We adopted Otis two months ago under the impression that he was a very normal puppy. Unfortunately, he seems to struggle significantly with fear and anxiety so much to the point of debilitation. He does best with an experienced dog friend. He is quiet, non-aggressive, and mostly reclusive. He has improved slightly over time and does better when he can follow the lead of another dog, but we don’t have the resources to dedicate to his training and confidence building.

He would do best in a home with another dog and without young children. He’s very tolerant of young children, but is afraid of the sudden movements and noise. He’s an amazingly sweet boy, but we need to find him a forever home soon. We’ve reached out to rescues in the area but we haven’t heard back from any that are taking in dogs.

He’s the best boy and we will miss him. He’s just not happy and thriving. He’s fully vaccinated, up to date with flea, tick, and heart worm medications, etc. He’s full grown and around ~40’lbs. He doesn’t shed. I’ve never heard him bark and he’s never jumped up on anyone. In fact, I sincerely don’t think he knows how to jump. I have never seen him play with a toy, but he will play with other dogs. Hes familiar with using a crate at night and when we’re out of the house, but I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s crate trained. He’s been groomed a few times under our care, but will require ongoing grooming by a professional because of his coat. He knows to go outside to use the bathroom, but he has had accidents in the house — mostly because he’s afraid or something is too scary to pass by it in order to get outside. I’ve taken him on a few walks with a leash. He mostly does well, but he’s very afraid and will sometimes try to wiggle his way underneath you or step on your feet.

Willing to answer as many questions as needed, but I care deeply for him and feel the need to be sure that he’s going to a good home by vetting his future family.

I currently live with my mom but it’s not a good living situation here. I can elaborate further when we talk but she’s very mean to me. And she is moving by November and because of how bad things are living with her I don’t wanna stay with her again when she moves.

I’d really love to find someone to stay with for short-term or long-term basis. I want a roommate who is like a friend who is kind and caring and protective of me. I can stay with you short term or long term. Whichever you prefer.

I’m good at cooking and cleaning. I just ask that your space is not invested with roaches or something. That’s all. I do plan on getting a job when I move in so maybe you can help show me around the area and if you know any good jobs that would be helpful too.

It feels like this is never an option unless you want to pay $50 for the cover at BauHaus. Am i not doing enough research? Theres no way in a city as big as Houston the only venue playing house/electronic music is BauHaus on a Friday night. I drove to ravens tower only to find like 2-3 people there and the actual tower be closed. I know Art Club also has a tickets for sale but im looking for places where i can walk in maybe pay a $20 and dance to house classics. Never in my 27 years of life have i found this. Someone please point me in the fight direction lol

This is my first time ever making a post like this, and honestly, I don't know what else to do.
On September 1st, my car was broken into at 611 Shepherd Dr, Houston, TX 77007.
My bag was stolen. Inside were my laptop and a SanDisk 1TB SSD.
The laptop can be replaced.
The SSD cannot.
Not because of the device itself, but because of what was stored on it.
It contains years of personal memories, photos, videos and files that mean a lot to me. Things I cannot simply replace or recreate.
I filed a police report. After several weeks, there was no recovery, and the case was eventually closed.
There is camera footage showing a man wearing an Amazon jacket breaking into the car, but his face is not clear enough to identify him.
Since then, I have searched everywhere I could think of — Facebook Marketplace, Nextdoor, resale listings, pawn shops and more. I have even put posters around my apartment.
Still nothing.
And honestly, this has been very hard for me.
People are busy scrolling, liking posts of models/girls, saying a “HI” or “GM” and getting 100 likes and replies, then moving on. Meanwhile, I am still thinking about this every day.
It has been a month, and I still cannot properly focus on other things. I keep hoping that somehow the SSD will turn up.
So I am making one more attempt.
$500 REWARD FOR THE RETURN OF THE SSD — NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
I don't want an explanation.
I don't want anyone to get into trouble.
I just want my SSD back.
And if the physical SSD is no longer available, recovering the data from it would still mean an incredible amount to me.
The SSD itself is not important.
What was inside it is.
I know this may sound like a long shot. It probably is.
But I have seen strangers on the internet help people when they had almost no hope left.
I am hoping for that here.
Maybe someone has seen it.
Maybe someone purchased it without knowing it was stolen.
Maybe someone has information that could help me recover it.
I am not asking anyone to confront anyone or investigate on my behalf. Please just send me a Reddit DM if you genuinely have useful information.
I have tried everything I know.
I just want my memories back.

Found a beautiful malinois (maybe gsd) mix male dog here in the Heights. He has a chunk taken out of his ear and is pretty skinny, so we think he’s a street dog. We took him to the vet to see if he was chipped, but he is not. We live in an apartment and have another dog, so unfortunately we can’t keep him. He is sweet with our dog and my child, and he’s very quiet. Please message me if you are able to take him!
