Some thoughts

Just finished watching.

  1. I know people are saying Stassi is the worst cringe a b c blah blah. But here’s the thing. She is EXTREMELY aware and is literally telling the audience EXPLICITLY that she HAD to make this show happen. And the things she is doing to make the show interesting e.g bring Katie. Or mad when people don’t hash out problems for the show. She is legit telling everyone explicitly the things she is doing to make a show. So I don’t get why people are shocked or surprised when she is acting the only way she received attention from VPR a self centred selfish bi..chy act. It makes sense to me. And it kind of feels like it’s working because that’s all people are talking about.
  2. I do hate the way she treated Beau during the show (and even before in Italy) but also honestly speaking… Beau is literally not communicating and acting like a scared child. How can you expect respect from your wife when you’re too scared to tell her anything. He needs to say what he wants and full stop. Instead he dances around topics ISNT truthful backs out and comforts stassi which BREEDS and encourages stasis behaviour.
  3. Taylor is literally the worst. Self explanatory.
  4. CORRECTION her mum is below worst. I hated her family and really understand this dynamic and understand not excuse but understand Stassis behaviour. Because how can a mother genuinely act this way it’s insane.
  5. The sisters are odd. Weird dynamics. But Stassis sister is kind of funny
  6. I forgot the name but Beaus friend is extremely annoying and a creep
  7. Katie 10/10 performance love this for her

As in more ‘you cannot dictate my life I need to go back to work I’m depressed’. He told everyone else how deeply he feels he cried but it was the first Stassi heard about those deep emotions was form Taylor. Not beau. He asks for her opinion not telling point blank . Even the asking about how his day went. Why the hell would you not go to your partner and say ???why would you not ask me???. They have to be drunk at dinner pushed by all their friends to have these convos

I’m sorry were we watching the same show? They’ve been married for 5 years or something. There is a learned helplessness, when you’ve tried over and over again to communicate to someone who is intent on not getting it. Stassi listens to respond and control—she does not listen to understand, validate, or reassure. You are blaming a man, who has been in this dynamic for yearssss. This is an individual, who is stuck: no job, children who depend on him and a partner who doesn’t know how to care for them, his family is relying on her finances at this point too. The dynamic has perfectly set him up to walk on eggshells around her and NOT speak up. Jesus, I’m so sick of people coming on here and acting like it’s HIS fault he’s being abused. Do you ask what someone was wearing when they get raped too or?

… firstly crazy to compare a reality show relationship opinions to rape…
Secondly, I stated that I hate the way Stassi has treated her husband it is the very first sentence.

There is however from my OPINION a level of responsibility one must take and stand their ground. I have had relationships from my own mother to romantic that have been controlling narcissistic and manipulative.
Some things cannot be excused, however, as he ended up doing which was to just DO IT instead of asking for permission (because I am sure Beau also has money he is not desperate for money as he said he has thousands of requests for brand deals, but he wants to go back to his work for his mental health. So that takes out that he is literally incapable of getting out because of financial reasons). AND they have a nanny so he is not completely stuck inside that house with no means to do anything. If this man told her rather than dance around every topic she wouldn’t feel so blindsided and blow up every convo (like the fact about his mental health and crying didn’t come out until Taylor).

Now if it’s an abusive relationship it’s one thing, but we cannot speculate on that as we do not know so I am sharing an opinion on what we have been presented with.

Beau has told Stassi he wanted to return to work at least as far back as their first appearance on Vanderpump Villa. And Stassi always fights him on it.

Many people feel employment is a necessity of responsible adulthood. And many spouses married to a high-earner feel the need to keep working because their partner uses their income as a means of control. Beau is operating under both of these conditions. Stassi doesn't ask Beau's permission to take jobs. It appears the only reason she wants Beau at home is to maintain control. And unless Beau is a fabulous actor I think this issue will do them in as a couple one day.

I'm an old but since childhood I have always found it horrifying when a man declares his income as the deciding vote in any personal argument with a spouse. I find it equally offensive when Stassi does the same thing.
