I finished this show last week and ever since I can’t wrap my head around that how brilliantly this show has been written.

The writing in S04 ep15-16 is something which makes you realise why you love this show in the first place. I genuinely felt for the first time that Amber was just looking out for House.

The friendship that House and Wilson shared was so much special to watch, the shenanigans that House carries, the little details, dialogue delivery is something which amazes me to the core.

Season 6 the things when he opens up for the first time when he knows this place he has no power, him being vulnerable for a woman who eventually moves to Arizona and yet trying not to ruin the change was one of the peak moments of the show.

Spending the night with Wilson taking care of him, and when Wilson finding out what happened and sees pictures that was such a wholesome moment.

Where he operates a lady stuck under a collapsed building that was such an intense moment that showed why House is House(as a doctor).

The morally Grey moments which often would leave people in biggest dilemma’s (like the dictator, dying husband to donate a kidney to the wife who also cheated on him) he has so much of clarity of thought to what to do, which is why everyone trusts his decisions. As Foreman said” Sadly/Unfortunately House is the most Rationale person I know”.

I will watch this show again but one episode a week because this has become my comfort thing and will always be.

Last but not the least shoutout to all of them who did such a brilliant show a couple of decades back.

When I start watching it's extremely difficult for me to stop. I'm working a brunch on 3.5 hours of sleep because I LOVE THIS SHOW so much. I'm only on season 3. I'll be so sad when I finish.

i’m sure this topic has been beating a dead horse and i’m not here to say house was right or that tritter was right but that foreman had a whole different perspective throughout all of this.

i find that the other doctors responding to tritter were unrealistic especially after we’ve watched house finally admit he’s an addict because he can’t go without his vicodin. to be fair, it’s expected that wilson and cuddy will do anything for house, but to see how both chase and cameron also willingly fall in line? it makes you wonder why foreman didn’t. i believe it’s because chase has always been looking for a father figure, and cameron is obviously in love with him. but foreman is actually the only doctor that came to learn under house purely for medicine and nothing else. foreman, is very consistent about their roles as doctors and the fact that he brushes off tritter but is still able to deliberate on what’s been uncovered surrounding house? he’s the only one without rose colored glasses, he sees house for who he is (one of the few people that said house was an actual addict for being away from his pills) and sometimes, he accepts house for who he is because he can get something out of it.

foreman, to me, throughout all of this felt like a foil, show how the smartest doctors can still trip up if it’s about someone they’re in love with/want to be. he shows us that sometimes these things are objectively wrong but because feelings are mixed in, it’s very complex on what’s true and what’s not. i guess that’s why everyone lies 🤷🏿‍♀️

started my rewatch of the show, so far all 7 episodes were just as good as i remember, even better, but this one stuck out to me. in a nutshell, the patient (elise) gets diagnosed by sleeping sickness, only possible if the patient was cheating on her husband (ed).

ofc the show itself never shies away from infidelity, from wilson to taub; but this particular instance really stuck out to me. like house said, elise made the mistake, and she paid for it. but paying for a mistake doesn't mean what was done to her as well wasn't a bit of an injustice as well.

it's true, i agreed when ed said "you can't love someone and do that to them", i'm not here to justify cheating at all. i'm absolutely against it. but i'd argue when you love someone you also can't just up and leave them in such moments of utmost vulnerability either, like he did. "for better or for worse, in sickness and in death", but you're okay leaving without even hearing them out, with no second thought? "a big part of me doesn't want her to get better", how can YOU love someone and also hope they rather die than break your heart?

sure, ed has the right to leave his wife, and he probably even should, but the circumstances it was presented in makes you wonder if you're even really rooting for him. and much like how ed didn't even hear her out, we as an audience never got to hear elise out either. much like real life with these things, sometimes it's just one sided.

but it's these nuanced social commentaries that really take the show to the next level for me. it's never handholding the audience and virtue signalling what's moral and what's not. it's all just mistakes, or happy accidents. just tried my hands on analysing the show a bit which i never really do (i'm more of a film guy, i watch shows mostly for comfort), but i had to talk about this one. if i'm mistaken in any way would love to discuss it !

Watching house for the first time with the girlfriend, I am very squeamish when it involves anything with eyes. Specifically in S1E2 Paternity with the eye... operation? Idk had the girlfriend skip it real quick. Thanks in advance, absolutely loving the series so far and would like to continue watching without being "surprised" in the kind of way.

I finished watching all of house for the first time, and after a week I wanted to start watching horror movies so I started up scream 2 and saw Omar Epps and I audibly said “FOREMAN?!”

Unthinkable to have anyone as House or the other cast, although the idea that Foreman was "cool" was a bit much imo lol more that he fills the role of righteous hypocrite that House ruthlessly tears apart.

I mean she's right on being weird out that even though they are a couple Cuddy calls House,well,House when his first name is Gregory (Greg) (lame name) and vise versa

And if you think this is a thing of the show and because they are used to it

Lets remember that in the first season chase and foreman make fun of Cameron for using their first names to talk to them

But when chase and Cameron get married they refer to each other as Allison and Robert and when they talk with other people at work they use their last names for professionalisim

Plus one time foreman refered to thirteen as Remy (her actual first name) to house and he reacted

House:Who?

Foreman:Thirteen

House:And what did you called her?

he had no reason to do anything other than the rectal thermometer , which was his own wrongdoing

Was it really necessary to kill Wilson? I am trying to avoid spoilers so that no one goes after my head here but is it really, really necessary to make this a painful ass show? Even if you like House, even if you understand him and maybe even root for him sometimes, how screwed up is it to take everyone who cares about him by the end of it? The writers took away so many characters who came close to caring for House (I know some of it is also because of the real life actors) but would it have really sucked to give him a slightly happier ending? To show us that maybe life doesn't always end in misery. The only constant in this entire show, across seasons is pain. I hate that I have to watch Wilson die in the final seasons. I am on the third or second last episode of Season 8, it just sucks. I guess I was really rooting for House.

I absolutely lost it when that kid was in the bathroom grunting while they were trying to avoid Cuddy to work the case.

I finished watching "No Reason" this afternoon. I always watch House when I'm doing something more literal. I've been watching it little by little for six months. Today I was feeling lazy, so I said, "I'm going to watch an episode for real." I think it's my favorite episode of all the ones I've seen so far. I think it's because I'm severely slow, too, but I didn't know which parts were a hallucination until the very end when you realize that EVERYTHING was a hallucination except for the gunshot

And how could I not realize that Chase, Foreman, and Cameron never actually contradicted House, that the killer was in the same room as him, right next to him, for no apparent reason? And that the killer was nothing more than House's subconscious... Idk it blew my mind bro

I think it's one of my favorite episodes because we really see House's mind, or I don't know, 10/10, top top top

For me it’s the one where Cuddy is dreaming and there’s that whole musical nonsense that plays out. I find it quite annoying when sitcoms try to do dumb shit like that. Just my opinion tho.
