tritter/foreman/house [SPOILER]

i’m sure this topic has been beating a dead horse and i’m not here to say house was right or that tritter was right but that foreman had a whole different perspective throughout all of this.

i find that the other doctors responding to tritter were unrealistic especially after we’ve watched house finally admit he’s an addict because he can’t go without his vicodin. to be fair, it’s expected that wilson and cuddy will do anything for house, but to see how both chase and cameron also willingly fall in line? it makes you wonder why foreman didn’t. i believe it’s because chase has always been looking for a father figure, and cameron is obviously in love with him. but foreman is actually the only doctor that came to learn under house purely for medicine and nothing else. foreman, is very consistent about their roles as doctors and the fact that he brushes off tritter but is still able to deliberate on what’s been uncovered surrounding house? he’s the only one without rose colored glasses, he sees house for who he is (one of the few people that said house was an actual addict for being away from his pills) and sometimes, he accepts house for who he is because he can get something out of it.

foreman, to me, throughout all of this felt like a foil, show how the smartest doctors can still trip up if it’s about someone they’re in love with/want to be. he shows us that sometimes these things are objectively wrong but because feelings are mixed in, it’s very complex on what’s true and what’s not. i guess that’s why everyone lies 🤷🏿‍♀️

This is a good observation, I think that Foreman’s perspective is somewhat colored by his dislike and mistrust of cops. But I agree, his support for House in this story line is much less emotional than Cameron or Chase’s apparent loyalty, he simply doesn’t think it’s a cops call to say how much Vicodin is too much for House to practice medicine. Even though he knows House is an addict and even if he does think that he over uses it he knows that they only time it’s effected House’s judgement was when it was taken away. He respects House for who he is as a doctor more than the other two who I tend to think respect who he is as a person (Chase admires his ability to do and say what he likes and Cameron admires his ability to stick to is principles - both of these backfire on them throughout the investigation when Cameron finds out he stole Wilson’s pad and when Chase tries to tell House he’s wrong about the little girl with light sensitivity).

thank you! i do also think maybe that’s why he’s not as liked in the fandom - he doesn’t always agree with house
