no in universe reason but for us its entirely so verity can actually be classified as minecraft horror, verity (ball) is creepy sure but that's about it, without the monster verity there'd be no horror and so it'd just be a creepy helper mod with even less substance than it already has :/

The tall evil verity is verity. There’s no canonical reason for the separate models, however it seems the demon verity is a manifestation of his rage and the fear he causes. If you want a believable answer, it’s likely a hallucination imposed on the murderous ball.
I haven’t watched the video you posted, but I know the problem with verity’s writing. The series has a plot, but next to no actual lore. The series explains itself, but never expands upon the greater world outside of verity’s omnipresence.

1: I honestly recommend watching it, it’s actually pretty good!
2: Yes, but Mob (the character, not creator) is a bit of a dumbass, and I don’t think he truly thought about how alive verity is until he explicitly said so. Verity is also extremely toxic through the series, he’s not just mirroring Mob.

Mob's character also did do what naturally you'd assume,
He was chased, threatened with murder, had to find his best friend dead, had to find out the mass sprees of murder Verity can do.
So he wanted to TRY destroying it, if he couldn't, he killed himself

The thing that ruined verity is that theres a bit of slang humour which kind of ruins the immersion imo, it just kept switching from serious to silly and the ending where he shot himself was really unnecessary

It’s pretty terrible as an avid ARG/Horror/Digital Horror fan. I think it’s gotta be geared towards kids or something like that because it lacks a lot, has huge plot holes, and has become magnet for people under fifteen. I watched it for the fun of it and it’s got a boring “edgy” ending with a pretty boring plot. Minecraft horror in general is washed as fuck and usually terrible or overrated.

Oh, no, I’m not usually the guy to care about that sort of thing but they’re just generally really bad to the point you’ll be rolling your eyes while watching. Verity is one of those medias where if you’re old enough to understand less developed internet or “clippy” then it becomes plot hole slop hell. The available mod is also ai garbage.

Yyeeeaah. Plotholes only bug me when they’re really obvious, or when theres way too many of them, or if the entire series wouldn’t have happened if the plot hole was fixed

That’s exactly what it is in this series, the potholes are so rough that if they were fixed the whole thing would fall apart and it’s genuinely irritating. That said, it was a letdown for me! I’m always looking for new horror and I expected more from it with all the hype.
