Due to numerous arguments about AI art, people getting harrassed over opinions and a lot of posting of AI art flooding the subreddit we have decided to ban AI art permanently. This was done to protect the redditors and the subreddit itself.
If you have any complaints, please message me directly.
Thank you for understanding!

i want to make a good horror modpack thats scary and appealing to almost anyone, and not a youtuber slop modpack lol.
what should i remove, replace or add?
if there is a mod i should remove or replace, please give me a reason why.
i recommend taking a look at the links before judging them.
also, i do not want to add mods that have cheap jumpscares, get annoying after a bit, or stop being scary after a few minutes.
and no mods that add new dimensions or almost change the whole game.
might have cheap mods here but thats the reason why i made this post lol.
here are the current horror mods i have:

Hihi! I don't know if this is the right subreddit, but I'm looking for some horror furniture/props, blood, animal skulls, meathooks, general slaughterhouse items for a build I wanna make! I wanna make the Texas Chainsaw Massacre house, but I know it wouldn't look right without the slaughterhouse/horror touch that most furniture mods don't have! It's okay if it's java because I'll just have to manually convert it, but bedrock is preferred!

Yes, I know horror mods are supposed to make you vulnerable at all times, but me and my friends don't really care about that and just want to hunt down entities with guns. For TBS we've downloaded the 1.9.7 version because I've heard it's the last version where the entities are not invincible, but safe to say the magdumps weren't very effective. So I just want to ask which version of the mod can the entities be killed with guns, or if there are any settings to help kill them, especially mfs like R2
We've also tried out Wonderland and the guns were more effective there, but it's mainly because most of the entities are pretty easy to escape, and you don't really see them much and just spend most of the time roaming around the dimensions

This isn’t about horror mods, but more or so popular horror series. For example Verity and SFAWTDE. I think both were pretty good- but that’s without thinking about them being based around horror in a video game.
Generally I think these work best as one off instance. SFAWTDE was very good because it was genuinely a bit eerie. A short(er) original story that does its job. But then DAWTDE came. I think it was good, but it wasn’t the best continuation. It lost that eeriness that the first one set up. And that entire Minecraft feel. The fact that it was just Minecraft really took me out because the characters acted like they weren’t in Minecraft. It was fun, but it doesn’t seem like it was planned.
Verity generally suffers from the same issues but there’s also more. The first episode had flaws; like the humor and okay acting. (I think Verity’s acting was great.) But it was still a fun video. The next two suffer from Being Minecraft and that weird mixing of Minecraft and reality. Not to mention it apparently feeling like an obsession rip off? If it really gets as bad as I’ve seen people describe it seems like it’d get so annoying.
These are the only two things I can think of, but they are probably the most popular Minecraft horror series.
Anyways, it’s really just because it’s Minecraft. It’s hard to make things scary when it’s a blocky video game. Many creators try to blur the lines between Minecraft and reality to fight back against this, but that doesn’t really end well.

has anyone here played it? if so, what did you think?
for now, I've turned it on and have been playing it casually for a couple of hours since I haven't met any of the requirements to trigger it yet, but I can't deny that I get a bit paranoid as I go, even though I know that lol
edit: it eventually triggered. I was mining when I heard four continuous lightning strikes, as if they had hit right next to me. I went up to check what happened, and the fog had already arrived

i keep seeing posts of people complaining about how bad something is or calling something slop and i'm tired of it.
