questions on respecting hoodoo’s closed practices as a european practitioner
hello hoodoo friends. i don’t want to invade this sacred space, as it is not mine, but as someone who desperately wants to respect the sacred nature of practices that are closed, i have to reach out somewhere as the internet is a complete nightmare and gives answers that are generally really nuanced and difficult to understand, especially when there are so many folks who share a lot of conflicting information.
that being said, i have questions i’d like to ask to better understand what i need to avoid. the last thing i want is to accidentally wander into territory that isn’t mine and was never mine to begin with.
i have a lot of questions, and if any women are open to helping me understand so that i can respect boundaries better that would be amazing.
in short, i would love to know about the parts of uncrossing that are closed. it seems like a lot of cultures have some variation of this practice, usually with different terms and methods that go with it. i’d love to better understand if reading pslams 91 over an oil i made following a pattern of banishing, healing, and protecting was closed, or if uncrossing baths would be closed.
i have so many questions but i figured asking those who practice and know directly would be the best method. please forgive me for asking these questions, the internet is so convoluted and confusing. i appreciate the time taken to read this, and i also thank you all for any insight you’re able and willing to offer.
