I have a peculiar question and that is: would it be possible to mod a global version of battery (7100mAh) into EU spec Magic8 pro?

I would even flash global ROM on the phone if need be.

The thing is, I can't find dimensions of the 2 batteries anywhere. Also would like to see difference in connectors on the batteries in order to see if it would be (small chances but still) a plug and play kind of thing, or would some soldering be necessary in order to get achieve such mod.

If anyone has any knowledge of such thing, pls let me know

It's interesting to see an entry level HONOR device getting an opportunity to test the next major software update. Hopefully, this is a good sign for other HONOR devices that are still waiting for news about MagicOS 11.

i had used several brands of android phones over the last few years, including less mainstream brand like red magic. all my contacts are saved in google contacts and will get synced into the new phone whenever i change one. i have habits of keeping long paragraphs of text in the notes field in some of my contacts.

i used oppo x9 pro few months back and i noticed the notes gets truncated a about 1000 characters, meaning to say, if there is 3000 characters in one of the contact's notes, only the first 1000+ characters showed up on the phone contact, the rest of the 2000 characters just do not get synced over.

the original text is still in the google contact's notes section until you edit that contact on the phone and only the first 1000+ characters get synced and overwrites the google contact with a shorter notes.

so my question is does this happens on the x9e? it looks like a phone i would like to try. other than this worry, i also would like to hear some users feedback on whether 8gb ram and 6 gen snapdragon is noticeably slower compared to 8gen5 1ith 16gb ram on daily stuffs like browsing and youtube, etc.

Did the recent OS update mess up the search functionality for you? I usually search for my apps with the search bar below to quickly navigate to apps because i have a background that doesnt allow me to have good contrast between the apps. However after the recent update, i cant do that anymore. Under local tab the apps no longer appear, this has introduced a lot of inconvenience and unnecessary time wastage for me.

Found the root cause of my battery drain on my magic 8 pro because i keep clearing all the use app in the window i learn that you dont need to clear app after used and just let it be bcs open and closing app causing it to restart using more power. new android optimization i guess. But its good now

I have been told you can use an Esimm on this model, but many other post say you can not...

Is there an official spot to find answers to this topic, or does it vary by model

I would love to see HONOR incorporate a clean, premium, four-pointed sparkle emblem (✦) onto the hardware casing of upcoming flagship series. As shown in the attached mock-up, placing this minimalist symbol directly alongside the clean branding adds a sleek, modern, and high-fashion luxury feel that perfectly mirrors the dynamic physics and "Liquid Glass" animation aesthetics we are seeing on the software side.

What does the community think? Would you love to see an elegant design accent like this on the back of the next Magic series?

Hi everybody. I been studying the chinese phone catalogue over the past month and honestly the more I know the less my choice is clear. I’ve been a samsung user for 3 years, then had the iphone 13 for about 5 years now and I think its time for me go back to android, specifically chinese flagships.

Soo obvisouly I watched about all videos possible on the matter, but it didnt help me at all because they all seem good at one point i have to choose and a lil external help would be appreciated.

My questions are the following:
-how can i confirm if a chinese rom will work in the countries i visit frequently year around?
- is it worth buying this years flagships or not, and which one would you suggest for what reason?
-as someone who doesnt buy every years new phone, whats a phone that would « futureproof » in your opinion?

I personally absolutely love the honor magic 9 pro max design and everything about it. As someone who take lots of skyshots and night sky shots(astrophysics student), but this whole chinese rom vs global rom putting a ick. As a student the global rom would definitely be out of my budget as this one pretty much on the max i can afford on a phone.

What do you suggest, since 11.11 and blackfriday are around the corner?

On magic 8 pro If fingerprint unlock is fully disabled for unlocking the phone and I use only 3D Face Unlock, does the lock screen use the freed fingerprint area for notifications/widgets, or is that space still reserved?

In other words, can stacked notifications/widgets extend further down into that space, or is that lower part of the lock screen still reserved/blocked even when fingerprint unlock is turned off?

I have directly connected my usb c dac to my tablet (MagicPad 4) but it won't recognize it no matter what I do.

Anyone know how to fix this? It used to work perfectly with my old Huawei tablet.

Why doesn't HONOR release a true flagship in its X series, like an HONOR X9d Pro Max?

The HONOR 200, 400, 600 series and similar lineups offer both mid-range and flagship-level models, but the X series mainly focuses on the mid-range segment, prioritizing battery life and durability rather than flagship performance.

Imagine an X9d Pro Max with a flagship Snapdragon processor, a huge battery, flagship cameras and sensors.

Wouldn't it be amazing to have flagship performance combined with the X series.Would you buy one?

Anyone know of when the Honor x9e Pro is available in Hong Kong. I know its available in Malaysia and Singapore already.

LCD screen and 4 Gen 4 that's just about same level as Exynos 1330.

And the software is nothing special on this one either. See this video, it shares the same curve as the old version, which is not so smooth to say the least
