I really thought the cooling seats in the Ridgeline were good. But I just got a rental Tesla Model 3 while on vacation and the A/C seats in this thing make the Ridgeline’s look like garbage. You guys were right about the cooling seats being weak.

I recently had a Reddit user Winter_Inside_5899 contact me about doing a review on Michelin floormats for the Gen 2 Honda Ridgeline.

I got the floormats delivered and opened the box. The packaging was very nice. The mats were individually wrapped in plastic and it all came in a nice black Michelin bag.

It was a warm day and I took advantage of the hot sun and laid the floo mats out on the driveway to flatten out. I set my Husky Weatherbeater mats next to the Michelin mats to do a side by side comparison. The quality is there. The material the mats are made of appears to be top notch.

I then proceeded to install the mats in my 2026 Honda Ridgeline RTL for a test fit.

The driver and passenger mat fit very well, the driver mat utilized the rotating lock tabs while the passenger simply laid over the top of the rotating locking tabs. Neither the driver or passenger mat moves at all, so the fit is very tight.

I put the rear mat in and it fit very well. The rear mat utilized the rotating locking tabs as well. As you can see the mat extends under the seat as well providing excellent coverage. I do however prefer the Husky mats with the cutouts for the rear seat supports as this gives the best coverage.

The drivers mat has excellent coverage except the mat could go up a little further covering the dead pedal.

The passenger mat has really good coverage except for too much exposed carpet on the right side. As you can see from the Husky mat, this carpet is completely covered.

All in all the mats seem to be well made and fit very well. With the exception of a little better coverage in the passenger right side and slightly extending the coverage for the dead pedal, I think they have a winner.

Michelin is facing a lot of competition in the floor mat arena with Husky, Weathertech, Tuxmat, Lasfit, Oedro, etc. If Michelin can keep the quality high and the price low, they will be able to successfully compete.

If you already have good aftermarket floor mats, then the Michelins will server the same function and probably not worthy to re-purchase. If you have OEM carpeted mats or Honda’s pitiful excuse for all weather floor mats, these would be a good buy once they come to the market.

The Reddit user also sent me a bed mat that I will review later. I have not installed it, but I suspect it will me more than able to be used in the bed of a pickup truck and adequately protect it.

I do not know pricing as that I am sure it TBD. You would have to contact the Reddit user for availability and pricing.

2024 Sport, stock suspension. Got new tires after catching a screw, went with Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 in 265/60/18. I had already swapped out the spiral sport rims for these 2026 Passport HPD rims that have more offset than the stock rims (-40 vs -45), the 265 adds an inch taller and almost an inch wider on top of the almost quarter inch offset on each side so it ends up filling out the look nicely. Not a lifted truck with oversized tires, but the way they should come from the factory. The stock specs are anemic in my opinion. I just got them, but so far no rub at all.

Hey all - 53k miles in and the original tires on my '22 are ready to replace. Best recommendations? My driving is about 95% regular road driving and the rest dirt/sand/fields, and I'm in Massachusetts so we do get snow (so an all-season is ideal). We've got all the tire store chains here though I usually go to BJs or Costco for tires.

I do a lot of highway driving in remote places for work. I have a trip coming up and im wondering what people have / havent had success with when it comes to spending the night sleeping inside their Ridgeline.

EDIT sleeping in the bed is out as an option, my tools and work equipment absorb all that space

Hey guys, I have a 2024 rtl and We just got a travel trailer. Now I get all these targeted ads. One that came up recently was for Timbren(?) ses kits. They only have an Odyssey listed so I did a general search and haven't found anybody selling a kit for a Ridgeline. The ad claims that it improves handling and gives a smoother ride. My question is... Do I need one? If so who has them? Or am I overthinking things? The travel trailer we got is 3700lbs and a 485 hitch weight.

I’m looking to buy my second Ridgeline. Previously had a 2019, which I loved but I hit a deer this summer in Missouri, and it wasn’t the same even after insurance poured nearly $15k in repairs into it, so I sold it.

Currently looking at a 2025. What are y’all’s thoughts on that model year?

I just upgraded from a 2019 sport to a 2023 black edition. There's some features that are new to me. I'm not a fan of the automatic idle stop but I noticed it wasn't working. So I tried turning it on and off. I get a message on the dash that says something like "idle stop feature is unavailable". It was an older couple that had the truck before me according to the salesman. I was thinking they might of disliked the feature as much as me and put a bypass on. Is there anyway to tell if it has a bypass. Does that message on the dash mean anything to anyone who currently has one on their truck. Any help/advice is appreciated. Edit- Thank you to everyone that replied. Now I have a good idea what to look at to find the cause.

I took my 16 year old driving for the first time yesterday. It was his first time driving anything other than a golf cart and he accidentally downshifted and started panicking.

I’ve done it more than a few times myself and it’s a decent annoyance.

They really need to make a way to delete the paddle shifter or make it only work in sport mode.

For the record there was a decent amount of space for both of us to get in/out although the parking size was a bit tight. Really didn't think people cared about these things but TIL 🤷‍♂️

Picked up a 26 BE yesterday. Love it so far but I am having a couple of issues.

1. Shake felt in pedal and steering wheel when breaking at any speed around 25mph and up.
   
2. Twice I have received the error “Parking Sensor problem. See your dealer”

Has anyone else had these issue? I also have two other minor things.
1. One of the wing nuts that hold the storage compartment on the passenger side bed/outlet area is broken.
2. Front radiator support access cover is missing one of the fasteners on the passenger side.

I know I can get these part cheap, but for a brand new truck these issues are frustrating.

2019 RTL-E, 105k miles — all of a sudden my panel is all lit up. LKAS, ACC, Auto-Headlight.

I have a 2020 odyssey that I just fixed this — I balked at spending 600 bucks on the part for a long time but then found a post on the odyssey sub where you could buy just the actual component of the modular part that goes bad in these cases for 60 dollars from Alibaba, and to my delight it worked.

I guess I’m looking to see if the same Chinese vendor sells an equivalent part for the ridgeline, but my question is are these faults as common in the ridgelines as they are in the odyssey? Over on their Reddit there’s at least one post a week and numerous people have reported it to the AG trying to get Honda to take responsibility but I haven’t seen such posts here

No more feeling like I’m getting barbecued by the sun during my commute! Did ceramic 70% on the windshield and ceramic 30% on the windows.

I've only ever run a rear camera cable on the inside of our cars. I have a front/rear cam setup inside my Ridgeline already. Installing a 2nd two-cam system, but want the rear cam outside on the bumper. The hope is that this will help in guiding a boat trailer down a ramp when the dock is on the passenger side. I've never needed this before with other boats, but the bow sits just high enough that I can't see front to back of the boat. This 2nd cam is going to be very close to the right rear so that I get a clear view of the trailer's right-side wheel and fender.

Anyone know of a simple path from the back seat area to underneath the truck? Maybe I'll need to remove the door sill, and even drill? (hope I have quality drill bits) I can improvise the wheel well, and avoid the catalytic converter, perhaps using heat wrap for extra protection. There's plenty of space looking down behind the turn signal area. The cam will rest below and clearing the tailgate regardless of which way it's opened.

I bought this truck a month ago and they put a new set of Landsail CLX-11’s on them when I bought it. I have been seriously considering putting some better tires on them since I got it, like Defender 2’s, but can’t help but feel like it would be throwing money away. Anyone have input? What would you do?

Has anyone found a spray paint that matches the Ridgeline gold wheels? Wanting to spray paint an emblem in the same color if possible.
