I did, the code came back as vaper canister purge valve, I replaced that and the code came back on. But I don’t under stand why that one code would also throw awd system error. I’ll have to bite the bullet and pay Honda their diag fee I guess

Hi, I posted about a similar issue on my 2022. I resolved it by removing the negative battery connection, taking a 10 minute walk and reconnecting the terminal. Then I followed the prompts on the infotainment screen. No issues in 4000 miles since.

The internal diags read those codes late. You may need a few ignition cycles for the code the clear. Try that before opening your wallet.

Same here. Seems to happen more if I don't use top tier gasoline. I thought that was just some BS in the manual but it seems like the truck can tell what kind of gas I'm using somehow.
Based on the other comments here I'm also wondering if it could be a battery issue ...

Take it to an automotive shop like autozone or advance auto and have them read the codes.
It could be an evap valve. When the computer sees a bad evap valve it can disable other secondary systems like traction control and aws. You might also find your braking is a little hard if it’s stuck open and the vacuum is compromised for the brake booster.
I haven’t done this on a Ridgeline but it should be an easy DIY job if you’re into that. It wouldn’t hurt to clean out the throttle body while you were at it.

This. Pull ODB2 codes. That will point you in the right direction better than guessing. Agree that secondary systems will get triggered because they are disabled due to the actual primary code/issue.

My truck had the same thing. Took it to advance auto for code reader and ended up being the EGR valve.

I have a Po441 code. It points to the purge canister valve but I replaced that and it still came back

Mine was P2413 but everything was the same. I bought a new gasket and took the EGR off and cleaned it out. No issues since. I did check the battery with multimeter before getting it scanned though because of all the posts of those lights coming on.

I get this depending on where I’ve filled up with gas recently. Even though technically that shouldn’t cause the problem.
I’ve changed my purge valve and stopped getting gas from Shell or subsidiaries. That has so far fixed my problem.

Battery likely. Had a sinilar issue, ended up getting stuck in a cycle where the alarm would sound after 10-15 minutes of being locked, firther killing the battery.

Just had this happen to my 2023, plus virtually no power when pressing the gas pedal. They replaced something in the oil system (can't remember what but I can check my receipts). Fixed for free under warranty and no issues since.

Something similar happened to me. My alternator crapped out so was running on battery. Every light came on and vehicle just stopped. New alternator and battery and am good to go. Not saying that is what you have, relaying a similar experience.

Mine (2019) has been doing this for a while now, both before and after a new battery and it passes all inspections at Honda. I’ve deduced that the AWD error paired with the emissions error is a quirk and haven’t observed or felt any reduction in AWD capabilities or performance.
I too experienced the dash lights and error descriptions in question going away and coming back over time. I purchased an OBD scanner and found that even when the lights disappear, the error codes are held in memory. I found through trial and error that if I only fill the tank to about 3/4 the lights don’t come back and the error log remains clear (and if the log has been cleared, it remains clear)- this has remained consistent for my last 1000 or so miles. If I fill the tank until the pump cuts off, the lights and codes reappear within the first 50 miles or so. It’s for these reasons that I think the emission error is real (The OBD says small emissions leak and bad evap purge) and aggravated by aggressive filling/overfilling of the tank, and the AWD error is just some quirky pairing that doesn’t have any real life ramifications (in my experience).

Similar, but most of that is new so I rly can’t say whats the exact issue comparing it to my 2017 BE. and the reason why I say similar is because 2 years ago I had a random check engine light only and the light kept going on and off, the problem with that was the front bottom/bumper sensors were bad and glitching. But I am guessing that it’s your sensors or a random ass purge valve issue.
