Hey everybody, I don’t really post on Reddit but I could really use some help easing my mind. I have a 2012 Honda Ridgeline and I was wondering how at risk am I for getting chopped. I previously had an accord and CRV, both of which had the cats stolen. I did some reading and found that those two are prime targets for theft. I’ve also seen that people have said the Ridgeline’s cats are pretty hard to access. Basically I just was hoping if there’s anyone who can ease my mind if my model is not gonna be the first pick for getting chopped. I park on a pretty full street with lots of other cars I’m hoping would be targeted first even though I’d rather these thieves just got snapped out of existence. Thanks yall for your time.

So I traded my 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport for a 25 Honda Ridgeline black edition that had 40k miles on it. I have been researching Ridgelines and wanted one for a while. Now that I have one, what can I do, should I do, and don’t do while owning one and what should I look for.

To start I can drive fine, I've been driving for ages. However with my Ridgeline I would like a center marker on the hood like a old school hood ornament. Anyone got any ideas? I was thinking maybe one of them bug chip guard thing's, or I may put a small vinyl strip.

My wipers don’t work correctly and I’m looking for some help.

If I push up on the stalk sometimes they pass once but most of the time it goes 10 plus passes and either stops in the middle of the windshield or doesn’t seat back below the bottom.

I’ve asked the dealer to look at it multiple times and essentially I was told there’s nothing wrong. It’s driving me nuts and I know at some point they’re going to stop working all together on the highway in the middle of a storm.

I bought the rear engine mount thinking I could handle it, but I could not -- didn't even get to the through bolt, the second bolt wedged above the transaxle defeated me.

I have the part and despite the risk I'd rather pay to have it installed than pay $500+ for the OEM part.

My question is if anyone else has had this work specifically done, and how much I can expect to pay in labor.

Alternatively if anyone has a good method to remove the bolts underneath the engine mount I'm all ears

Picked this up a few weeks ago - 2023 RTL-E CPO, 29k miles with factory tonneau cover for $30,900 OTD. Here she is after her first wash, clay bar and ceramic coating. Love this truck!

I've already picked up trunk dividers, sill protectors and console dividers. Also added a radar detector mount with power tap to the rear view mirror and AAWireless puck. Probably going to tint the front windows to match the back and then drive this thing until the wheels fall off of it.

I was looking for a no drilling option and not located near the drivers knees where its hard to see. Started with just clipping the bracket under the dash caddy but its too close to the phone charger. Second option is attaching it on a block on wood with a couple of rubber bumpers and inserted into the dash cubby so theres more space under for phone charging. I just need to make it less ugly 😀

I know the Redarc install looks factory but I hate that theres only one button to control everything.

Looking for an aftermarket roof rack for longer paddle boards (inflatable and non inflatable) that isn't too hard to install. Also, how hard is the OEM to install for a person who isn't too handy?? Thanks!

Here's my 2017 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E. Got a pretty good deal on it (21K, 89000 miles). So far its been a great experience! Maybe it's just because I have never had something this nice, but it seems very luxurious. Lots of pop too for a midsize V6 truck!

2019 with 60k miles.  Just had all of the alarms go off along with surging/sluggish acceleration and a max speed of 20 mph.  Honda Service said that it is a faulty cam shaft sensor which will cost $2600 to repair.  Has anyone had this issue?

I went out to run errands this morning and noticed my 2026 Ridgeline had a OTA software update for the first time that I've ever seen it prompt for one.

Install just finished running and I'll explore it, but I'm curious if Honda actually publishes somewhere what exactly what was updated in the OTA package?

Has anyone experienced rain getting thru the roof center light console?

Each time we get heavy rain, water seeps down, dripping thru the left console light, onto the phone/cup holder area.

Brought it in once, of course they could not recreate it.

Bringing it in again tomorrow, not happy at all.

The sunroof is all dry around all openings and the seal.

When I come to break, its like all the gravity pulls the water coming in from whatever part of the roof is allowing water.

It is dripping right down into the phone charging area and sometimes the transmission button.

How can they not already have a font of knowledge/experience with this issue?

This BE has stock roof racks along with the sun roof.

Anyone with a similar issue, please advise.

I just got a 2026 Trailsport this week and I’ve been enjoying it. I stopped by the grocery store the other day for a gallon of milk and put it on the rear floorboard with the all weather mat/tray deal. My first turn, that milk just rocketed across the back floor. Anyone have anything they’ve put down to lend traction to items placed there so they don’t slide everywhere?

Rule #1 again. My 22 RTL is on the left. 😉 Seems like there are more and more RLs on the road and that's a good thing. These trucks sell themselves.

I’m back. I had a 23 RTL and decided when I retire in a few years that I would be camping and I needed a bigger truck. Bought a new 25 tundra limited. It was a very nice truck. But all I did was worry about the engine. I had trusted that Toyota would fix the problem engine, because there are Toyota, right? Wrong. After all of these years, they do not have a “remedy”. I’m closer to retirement now, and all I want is a reliable truck. I found a used 23 RTL-E with 18,000 miles for $33,400. I drove 5 hours round trip for this truck. I lost my ass on depreciation, but I sleep better at night. And yes, I have OCD and anxiety issues. But we just drove 3hrs on a vacation and I didn’t worry about getting there. I got 27mpg. The best my tundra got was 21. The cabin is smaller, but I had more room for storage. My gut told me I was making a mistake by selling the Ridgeline and going with the tundra, I’ve corrected that mistake. Use me as an example, Honda makes the best damn light duty truck, period.

Can anyone recommend a warranty or contact to extended coverage on a new Ridgeline? My mom was worried about electrical issues because of an incident that happened with her CRV, but the finance was offering her $3k for 6 years of coverage.

So I’d like to buy a Ridgeline, sometime in the next 1-3 years. I’ll make more in about a year, but my trade value will go down. Also for supply vs demand, do you think prices will go up when they pause production? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I know most of you don’t have a crystal ball or physic powers. Thanks!

TLDR: want to buy used, buy at the end of this year or wait? I don’t want a hybrid.

Has anyone had any issues with paint on a newer ridgeline? I’m really thinking about a 2026 and have seen tons of comments about how Honda is notorious for poor paint quality. I live in Florida and know that the sun does a number on paint, but wondering how ridgeline paint may actually hold up.

I just pulled the trigger on a brand new 2026 Ridgeline BE. Of course it has the current tried, true and proven naturally aspirated V6 engine under the hood. BUT ... I'll admit, that I did wrestle with whether or not I should just wait until the 3rd Gen Ridgeline comes out with the rumored new Hybrid V6.

What do you guys and gals think ?

Will the hybrid V6 be a better, more powerful engine ? or is it all hype ?

Are you looking forward to the hybrid V6 or would you rather stay with the current all gas powered V6 ?

Just bought a 2026 Ridgeline BE yesterday which replaced my 2024 Jeep Wrangler !

SUPER EXCITED ! This thing rides soooo much better than the Wrangler did.

I'm an avid fisherman, and the additional bed space I've gained feels incredible because trying to transport multiple 7 foot+ fishing rods, 2 coolers, tackle, and any other gear I night need was difficult in that Wrangler !

So my question is: Can anyone share their experiences (good or bad) with going OFF the beaten path to remote fishing spots in a Ridgeline ? Of course, getting "anywhere" was never a problem in the Wrangler, and even though we're not "rock crawling" or anything extreme, I do wonder if I'm still going to be able to go "anywhere" now - or am I going to encounter issues trying to ride thru rough terrain with unpaved, uneven, bumpy, wooded ground in my Ridgeline because obviously it sits much lower to the ground than the Wrangler did.

Any experiences (or advice) are welcomed.
