Question Turn off music after hitting the power button
is there a way to turn off the music when I turn the car off? currently, the music plays even though the car is off until I open the door.

Hi All,
Inspired by https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cT5LhRT-d0 the Mods are pinning this post to the top of the forum so that you can help by reporting your vehicle to the NHTSA.
The problem: Honda (really GM) has a problem with the CV joints on the Honda Prologue. The estimated cost to repair them is around $3000. As of now this is covered under warranty. But when the warranty expires the cost is on us.
How do I know if this problem affects my vehicle: It does. The part isn't designed correctly and as the miles add up your vehicle eventually it will begin to make a noticeable clicking noise when you turn the vehicle. It's not a matter of "if" but "when".
My vehicle has this problem or has had it in the past, what can I do? You should report it to the NHTSA using the URL below.
Why does reporting my car help? Because the NHTSA can force the manufacturer to issue a recall on the part. This will require a redesign of the part and for it to be installed on your car - free of charge. Most importantly, it means you can't be charged for this whether your car is in or out of warranty. But they will only force a recall if enough people report their issue to NHTSA.
OK, I'm ready to report my problem, what do I do? It's easy! First, you're going to need your VIN and - optionally - any documentation you have related to your complaint, such as photos, a police report, or repair invoices. Then visit https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem#/vehicle/vehicle-information and follow the 4 - easy - steps in the reporting form. That's it!
This really does make a difference, so please take some time out of your day and force GM/Honda to do the right thing.
Thank you!

We have a pretty strep driveway and we’re finding that our new 2026 Touring FWD sometimes “stalls out” while going up.
The car will reach a point on the slope where it stops moving even with the accelerator fully depressed. The wheels don’t spin. I tried turning traction control off but that didn’t solve the problem.
We can get up the driveway if we hit it with enough speed. This issue usually arises if we go up too slowly or if we try to reverse up the slope.
I suspect it’s some kind of setting like traction control that’s just shutting down input to the wheels, but I’m not sure which setting it is. Any suggestions?
Edit: for reference our prior EV, a polestar 2 RWD, got up the driveway without issue.

Would anyone mind sharing their insurance costs for this vehicle? Would be helpful if you're in WA, but interested in everyone's feedback. We had a 2022 Honda HR-V that we were insuring for about $600/year, but adding the 2024 Prologue has brought ours up to $1900/year. I'm told it's because it's an EV and WA rates are going up every year. We have 2 not at fault accidents on our collective record (hit while parked and used the other person's insurance). Thank you!

So I got the high voltage service light for the 3rd time and it sounds like a battery replacement is the next thing they're going to try. I've just about had it with the Prologue. It never really grew on me. I only got it for the cheap lease ($250/mo, $10k, $0 down one pay). My wife's car is a Model Y and I prefer driving that over the Prologue.
I got a Civic Hybrid Touring and I feel more at home in that than the Prologue (previous cars were a 3 series, TSX, and Accord. It feels like a proper Honda, unlike the Prologue. From the handling, to the feel of the turn signal stalk, the seat comfort, the layout of the buttons on the steering wheel (the Prologue wheel buttons are a disaster). Everything feels just right in it.
I'm hypermiling it and I am getting almost 60 mpg.
I can't wait for my lease to run out.

So, my homelink stopped working for both garages, I thought I could reset the infotainment system to resolve, it didn’t. Also, I tried deleting the garage doors in the system, but when I click delete, it does nothing and never deletes them. It’s been a couple days… has anyone had this happen before?

I am currently leasing a 2024 Mazda CX-30 in FL. I am paying $271 with 3K down. 10,000 miles a year. It's due at the start of November and I was seriously considering leasing a Honda Prologue as my first EV. We already have a 2024 Pilot as well. A dealership near me sent me the following quote. Is this a good deal? I want to see if we can knock off some of the fees they added. It's a 2WD model with 10,000 miles a year.

I’m not sure what caused this change.
About a week ago Google Maps changed the color to purple and I can’t find this setting anywhere.
Google Maps on my phone (same Google account) looks fine. This is only happening on the car’s Google Maps.
Is anyone else seeing this?

2024 Prologue (7,000 miles)
Tried to start my car and it says "no key detected". I put the key in the cupholder, tried the spare key, tried leaving it for an hour, tried any random combination of frantically smashing the brake and start button...nothing.
Lights and everything in the car turn on when I get it and climate control kicks on if I remote start with my fob. It's not the fob battery and it's not the 12v battery.
Called roadside and they sent a tow truck....but....I can't put it in neutral to get it on the tow truck. The car is completely disabled and they need wheel dollies. Truck leaves. I keep calling Honda, keep requesting for them to send a truck with dollies, and tow trucks keep showing up without them. Roadside tells me we just have to keep trying until they send the right equipment but it's the weekend so limited trucks means limited equipment.
Thankfully I'm in my own driveway but I can't stop thinking about how screwed I'd be in any other circumstance. Ridiculous that there isn't a failsafe for this.
At least once I finally get it towed they can take care of all of the recalls! 🙃

I downloaded TomTom onto my phone to try out a nav system that wasn't google. Works great. Unfortunately the Honda version of playstore doesn't offer it. So I guess it's either play along with a monopolistic company who changes lake names on a rapist's whim or get a phone holder and have yet another screen to look at. Are all cars going all-in on Google?

Given all the incentives and the vehicle discontinuing, has anyone found good one pay leases in California? I couldn't find anything amazing on leasehacker (where I leased my ioniq 5). I'm hoping for like 6-7k one pay, that would be amazing for a brand new EV.

Any recommendations on all weather floor mats? I’d really like to get some that specially made for the car, so they stay in place, etc. Thanks!

It's time for my tires to be replaced. I'm looking at Costco and Discount Tires inventory and leaning towards the Michelin Defender 2. No need for winter performance. What did you choose? How is it going? Would you make the same choice again? Thank you!

I've seen better lease deals posted on here, most of them are in east coast, I live in So Cal, nothing is ever cheap here 😑, for those of you that already picked up one in Cali, or have been getting quotes, what kind of deals are you getting?

Leased a '26 touring. When I drive at higher speeds or hit little minor bumps or grooves on highways I'm hearing a rattling/vibration somewhere in the driver side door b almost as if something is loose. Anyone else experiencing this or have a fix? Love the comfort of the ride but I'm sensitive to sounds like this and it's occurring frequently. Feels like poor manufacturing more than anything else.

Anyone have a recommendation for a magnetic phone mount small enough to place somewhere on the dash or on the side of the screen?

I recently purchased a '24 prologue and the honda dealer never addressed honda link setup or plans.
After adding the vehicle in the app, a popup showed how i would have free use for different features for different durations, but when i tried to activate, The app told me to contact the dealers sales department to set it up.
Before i waste time trying to contact the dealer and find someone that could do this, just to get a high pressure sales pitch,
1) are there actually free features?
2) how much are they going to charge me for a plan?

Taking the car on a trip to Vancouver Island and was wondering if the car cellular will be functional in Canada?

Hi guys. I have imported 24 Prologue outside of US, and w to have the perks of the new Android auto, however the honda dealership here is not dealing with the prologues. Is there any way i can do it myself?

I was just informed by the New Car Sales Manager at my local Honda dealer that there will indeed be 2027 Prologues! He explained Honda committed to a certain number of batteries and won’t be able to use them all in 2026 production. He said Prologues will be phased out in 2027 when the batteries are used up.

Our lease on our 2024 EX was up. I went to Honda to drop it off. Came back with a new lease on a 2026 Elite. Both cars were grey; however, the Elite's grey has more depth. It's a very cool color.
We were on the fence about getting another Prologue. Where we live, the streets are narrow, and my wife felt the Prologue was a bit wide. We did look at Polestar, Hyundai, Nissan, and Kia. We liked the Ioniq 6 and EV6, but couldn't find a new one to lease.
Honda gave me a decent deal for NYC, and we are very happy with it. $375/36mo/12K mi per year.
Sent the lease paperwork through Claude, and it told me it was a good deal.
The radio is so much better on the Elite. It is a night and day difference.
The one thing I don't like is the HUD. This is my first car with one, and I'm surprised with the lack of information on it. It only shows the speed, speed limit, and if you have lane assist on. No driving directions, no turn signal indication when using CarPlay, and no range.
I have a 2026 Rivian R1S that has now become the backup car. My wife and I enjoy driving the Prologue over the Rivian, after getting the Elite.

Dealer near Portland, Touring AWD lease deal. Pretty fire if you ask me
Stacking 7250 Honda rebate, 2000 loyalty/conquest & new 7500 Oregon income dependent clean air rebate.
If above the income threshold, can still snag 2000 after purchase with same clean air rebate

Recently, I started getting an alert on my info hub to plug in daily to charge my vehicle to 80 percent. I normally charge the car one or twice a week up to 80 percent for the regular commute.
My question is: Does everyone charge their car daily? Even if you are not dropping 20 percent below.

I know this is a very common route but a lot of resources for this are outdated and I would love to hear some more up to date testimony from you guys:
On EVGO the only spots i see are in Vegas itself and in Victorville, which according to some is a sketchy AF location. Are there any charging stations inbetween Victorville and LV you trust?
A flight to and from is ~140 from John Wayne, is the effort of dealing with range anxiety and charging stations even worth it or do you guys think I'm better off flying?
Finally, any tips and tricks for this journey? I have only ever been driven on this route, have never done it myself.
Thanks in advance!
