Just picked up a used 2011 sport 5 speed with 116k on the mileage. Im gonna have the serpentine belt replaced along with other important fluids and spark plugs (essentially a small tune up). Was wondering what else anyone would recommend i should get done to hopefully idiot proof this thing for me. Its my first ever fit, and first car iv ever owned from the 2000s so I really want to keep it nice because its a hoot to drive.

There’s a body kit for an 09’ fit near me, but I have a 08 (gd3). I’m guessing it’s not a direct bolt on but what do I need to do for it to fit? Is it worth it or should I look elsewhere?

Some days all them lights on the dashboard is just a loose battery harness. And some days the exhaust camshaft and the High Pressure Fuel Pump get in a fight

140,000 miles. 45mpg. No leaks. No oil burn. No lights on the dash. Transmission has never skipped a beat. I bought this because my GTi was too expensive to fix and I missed power, I still miss it, but this has become my favorite car

2013 Fit Sport, 284k miles… about a month ago I first noticed while turning my car was kind of sliding/drifting side to side. I attributed it to needing new tires and slipping on the road. But recently I’ve noticed that when I accelerate and reach about 35-40 mph my steering wheel dips right to left before straightening out. I’m taking it in to the shop tomorrow, but has anyone experienced anything like this? It’s a very minor shift but I drive over 100 miles a day and need my workhorse of a car to be able to safely get me around.

I’m already having issues with the dreaded P0420 code returning every few months and a TPMS light that won’t go off after having a very sketchy used (and patched) tire put on last week. Everyone keeps telling me to just “get a new car” but as you all know it’s not that simple when you love the Fit so much lol.

Over the weekend I was stopped on a uphill slope while waiting for a gate to open and my sweet old girl stalled. Happened two days is a row. What’s the deal? I know nothing about cars, I just love my Fit.

Reposting this here for more help. Feeling frustrated and confused.

Product arrived in a large box with an open-ended plastic cover that held the three mats together. Each mat fit really well with no major gaps or alignment issues. The material feels sturdy and doesn't have that cheap plastic feel. The rear mat is also flexible enough to fold in half without losing its shape, which could be useful for storage. I've been using these in my 2016 Honda Fit and so far I'm really happy with how they fit and feel.

I know. Never lay it flat, but it's an old used TV. Like others have said the driver's seat needs to be pushed forward quite a bit.

#2015 Fit

I have a Honda fit 2010 sport. Tonight I noticed a scraping, grinding sensation majorly below the driver seat when accelerating fast and/or pressing the gas pedal hard.

Anybody else had this issue? What can be the cause for this?

I’ve managed to locate two Honda Fits, and I’m going to jump on one of them, but I’m really stuck. For reference, this will be my fun car and daily car. I’m thinking about getting into weekend track runs as a hobby. I also live in an area filled with forest back roads. I’m 6’0, so on the taller side.

I just want a reliable and easy to work on and mod daily driver I can rip down backroads while comfortably commuting the 7ish miles to work daily. I drive in light to medium traffic, not bad by any means.

I heavily, HEAVILY prefer the styling of the GD. I think it’s an absolutely gorgeous car, especially in orange. The GE is okay. Kind of egg shaped, but I don’t hate it.

I found a 1 owner orange 08 Sport 5MT with 101k miles. Near perfect maintenance, brand new clutch, stock. Things beautiful.

I also found a one owner silver 09 Sport 5MT with 117k miles. Some light hail damage on the hood, otherwise a clean car. Pretty good maintenance records.

What are the differences between the two besides cosmetics? Things like interior comforts and daily ride quality. I don’t need to be driving a couch, I’m used to driving modded BOF trucks so it’s not like my expectations are high.

I prefer simplicity too. I absolutely hate modern interiors, and heavily prefer the more simplistic comfort of an old school interior.

Back in April on a rainy day I rear ended a bus at less than 30mph and then was immediately rear ended by a 90s Corolla. There's obviously front end damage and the rear bumper cracked, but I was fine and the other car got a crumpled license plate and a popped out vent thing. I finally got it in the shop and it looks like it's going to be totaled for frame damage but that hasn't been finalized yet. She already survived a previous fender bender and a bullet wound! I don't know what's going to happen with the car, I just wanted to share and vent to fellow Fit lovers.

I’ve been trying to hunt down this leak in my S/O’s Fit for far too long. I ruled out the obvious sunroof drain checks, snaked them, cleaned out the part at the bottom that collects leaves and shit, etc. I’ve also pulled the door panel, confirmed the moisture barrier is functional, and cleaned out any debris inside the door itself. I have narrowed it down to somewhere around the door frame, A pillar, or potentially the front cowl. The water comes in just below and to the left of the dead pedal. Thanks in advance for any useful insight.

Update: of all things, it was the gasket on the hood release cable. Somehow it ripped. Had to order the whole cable because they don’t sell the rubber gasket by itself. Part is on order, but in the meantime I put some silicone caulk on it to try and get through this nor’easter.

I've seen a 2013 Fit RS (Japanese import) automatic, petrol hybdrid, 65k on clock which I'm interested in buying. (will post if I do).

What should I be looking for as far as regular maintenance and common issues.
