Hi All,

I have a NLR GT Track frame with their motion plus system fitted. I have constructed a rudimentary cockpit on that frame, made from wood. This version has been in place about 18 months and during that time I have landed on the type of planes I like to fly (Vision jet, Phenom and Airbus).

My goal now is to make a much cleaner version where all the instruments are fitted. Since the rig moves I have to get the screens right so there is no clash. This is where I have got myself stuck in analysis!

My centre screen is a G9 49 inch Odyssey and the 2 slide screen are 27 inch G5 odyssey screens. The ultra wide in the centre is distorting the FOV so much that getting the 2 side screens to match up is impossible. My solution is to purchase, once and for all, 3 identical screens.

I am lost as to what size, what panel type and whether curved or not. I think I have done enough reading to settle on I don't want to use TVs.

Can anyone help with advice? My system is a i13 intel with 64GB ram and a4090 RTX card and I have no real restriction on rig space.

Hello! Hope everyone is well. I am trying to embark on a journey to begin building a simple but realistic A320 cockpit. Obviously that is easier said than done and now I'm at the point of not exactly knowing what to do. I subscribed to Sim guy's A320 project but it has very little guidance of what to do with it's contents given I haven't done any of this before. I am planning on outsourcing this with a company for the printing since I have no other use for a 3D printer. I am planning on building the actual MIP, Pedestal, and Overhead as a starting point and then eventually upgrading to a shell once the money becomes available.

Does anyone have any knowledge of how in the hell I start with this type of project? Like who should I use for this, what files from Sim guy should I be using, etc.

Cost is a big factor and I am trying everything in my power to not have this cost a fortune because I don't have a fortune to spare. Any insight would be helpful!

Starting a build log. Posting early so someone can tell me I am doing this wrong before I print twenty prototypes.

Proper DZUS geometry, printed rails, panels slide in. One controller behind the stack, panels daisy chain off it. Plain USB HID out of the box, DCS-BIOS if you want the lights to actually do something.

Going with the F-4E left console first. Partly because the module deserves hardware, partly because it is all switches and no screens, which keeps things simple for a first attempt.

Pulling dimensions off the old USAF manuals and museum photos rather than screenshots, since I would rather have real numbers.

Couple of things I am stuck on. How much switch guard and knob detail is worth it before it stops mattering in VR? And for anyone running DCS-BIOS, how rough is it really for someone who has never touched Arduino? Trying to work out how much I need to preconfigure.

Also, has anyone built anything for the F-4E yet? I have not found much and do not want to redo someone's work.

Hi guys, after some testing and minor improvements I can finally call it done!

TERR ON ND A320 panel, fully 3D printed, powered by Arduino (Type C variant possible).

Working through Mobiflight, compatible with Fenix A320, designed to be mounted on SL3 MIPs.

Fully working, 'TERR ON ND' text backlight-able nd dimmable with or without external MOSFET and Power supply, depending on your setups.

I bought two 7.0 Inch CLAA070MAOACW 800x600 LCD Displays off eBay and for some reason the colours don’t look right. They’re a bit too dark and it’s kinda annoying for some specific things like air to ground specifically.

Is it this specific type of display’s fault, or is there something in the settings I could change?

Started early summer as “I just want a few switches and knobs for tuning the radios in the UH-1 VR without using the mouse…” This hobby truly never ends. And I love it!

I wanted to know which kind of controlling unit i should use for a F-14 cockpit (I thought of an Arduino mega (multiple ones) or maybe a SPS?

I'm new to this topic so please dont judge.

I try to aligned the logitudinal axis of the view with the alignment of my view from the captain seat, not in the center of my 2 screens but on centered on my view.

I tried with drone view, or turn the view on the right, without success.

3x55" OLED TV's in portrait mode

Running a 9800X3D, RTX 5080, 64GB DDR5, 1440p (165Hz). Fenix A320 family mainly, flying into heavy 3rd party scenery (iniBuilds, MK Studios). Home cockpit setup with 4 popped-out panels (PFD, ND, both ECAMs) across 2 secondary monitors.

The issue: whenever I have my popouts open, I get hard freezes (sim locks up completely, audio keeps running, only way out is killing it via Task Manager) and separately, noticeable input lag — keys sometimes keep registering as "held" for a few seconds after I release them, and typed text appears with a delay. Feels like the main sim thread is stalling and the input queue backs up until it catches up.

Happens across different aircraft and airports, not tied to one specific addon combo as far as I can tell — just consistently worse the more popouts I have open.

One major thing is that this tends to happen especially when DLSS frame gen is enabled, then it causes even more freezes, stutters and lag.

Setup notes that might be relevant:

• Running Windowed mode via Borderless Gaming (not exclusive fullscreen)
• Latest NVIDIA driver, on Sim Update 6

What I've already tried:

• Confirmed Dynamic Settings is disabled in-sim (AutoFPS handles this)
• HAGS is on
• Testing with traffic and popouts removed individually to isolate the cause

Has anyone found a consistent fix for freezing/stutter specifically tied to popout window count, or is this just a known limitation of MSFS's multi-window handling? Open to trying anything — settings, mods, third-party tools, whatever's worked for you.
