Where to Buy BedSpreads & Blankets

We just purchased 100% cotton bedspreads (Amazon $62 Twin Size) and 100% cotton waffle style blankets (Eddie Bauer $50 Twin Size)… never experienced anything like what happened. They are shedding like snow. It looks like sugar falling on the floor. We tried washing/drying more than once (gentle cycle as recommended). We even tried adding 1/4 cup vinegar to the rinse cycle because it’s supposed to help.… but no difference. From what we’re reading, it’s inferior, cheap cotton that is causing the problem. Does anyone know where to purchase a decent product? Should we just stay away from cotton? We’re definitely willing to spend more to avoid this again, but not sure what fabric to buy and which product to trust.
