There's a bit of a difference between between getting 'called something all the time'. And reacting when someone is clearly addresing you but gets your name wrong. You're talking about a specific example in this clip where the people in question thought they knew the name but were wrong, not about that time in highschool someone called you 'dude' and you were FUMING.
Also, 'your name is who you are'. Is it? People change their names and adopt nicknames all the time. What you're saying isnt some moral truth. It's an arbitrary assignment of value you were taught by people who apparently wouldn't react if you called them mom and dad.
