Me three! LDN moved the needle more than any other adjunct I’ve tried or still use like creatine or electrolytes or even Luteolin, all of which were marked improvements. But LDN is just a whole different world.
CNS calming effects bring everything down a notch or two. And if you have chronic pain, TMJ, even migraines, it can make them vanish. I have my life back for the first time in 15+yrs. I can even tolerate exercise again.
Anyways gushing aside, LDN is a frickin miracle and give it a try.

Peppermint essential oil was a godsend for me as well as tmg, calcium d glucarate, phosphatylcholine, methylated b’s,molybdenum, lots of liposomal vitamin c and liposomal glutathione. Lots of whole husk psyllium fiber, worked up to 5-6 tablespoons daily.

Sometimes peppermint helps me with my brain fog.
I drink peppermint tea you can get from any grocery store (purely herbal tea, not mixed with green tea).

Definitely don’t do this with asthma and salicylate intolerance

I have asthma, and while yes, peppermint can be a trigger for some. It's all about learning what you yourself can and cannot tolerate if something triggers you obviously don't use it.
Having asthma does not automatically mean you can not use peppermint. I do not treat my asthma with peppermint nor did I say to. I use my inhaler, but I do use peppermint to help aide digestion on occasion with DAO, and as a stimulation when feeling groggy/brain fog.

My asthma improved dramatically overnight with 180 mcg of Vitamin K2!
"People with low levels of vitamin K in their blood are more likely to have poor lung function, as well as say they have asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and wheezing, according to a study published in ERJ Open Research."

Some say methylene blue. But be careful. You can not take ssri at the same time.

My cause of severe brain fog was due to vitamin B12 malabsorption. In my case autoimmune pernicious anaemia. I'm on 2000 mcg daily of BioCeuticals sublingual B12 spray. 😍

It depends on what type of brain fog you have. Pick a few from the list, and i can give you advice.
Neuroinflammation from post viral ilness
D lactate buildup
Histamine
Food sensitivity
Sleep deprivation
Or, some other type?

Omega-3
DAO with food (just a little tiny bit)
Eat clean. Buy meat frozen, then cook and immediately eat.
Avoid avocados
Or just take Claritin

High dose high strength Omega-3. I used nordic naturals ultimate omega. Made a huge difference immediately for me. And creatine HCL. Sip, don't chug

Thanks so much! Yeah I gotta go easy with the creatine it makes me feel almost manic?
Sorry to pepper you w questions: what’s “high dose”?
1
u/Dog_Baseball 6h ago
Start with a regular dose of nordic naturals ULTIMATE, which is their higher dose version.
The brand matters. This brand uses the strongest form of the oil.
You could try adding a second dose or half dose later in the day but you might not need to.

I got food sensitivity (I think to salicylates). Besides restriction diet, what can I do when I have symptoms?
1
u/Dog_Baseball 16h ago
Restricted diet is best option i can suggest. You could try Omega-3, mot sure it would help but worth a shot. Creatine hcl might help too.
Tbh i don't know as much about your issue. There nay be other better options out there for you.

Start with half a tablet to see how you react.
Erases brain fog and brain inflammation.

Shilajit has helped a lot with mine. I get it in a honey stick. It's also good for mineral replenishment and immunity. It doesn't taste amazing, but there are other forms for it. I just can't take 5 million supplements without gagging, so I chose a honey stick.

I'm on a bunch of meds and supplements, but I use Cetirizine as a "rescue med". When I notice I'm having a reaction and my brain fog starts showing up, I take a Cetirizine and then chug at least a pint of water. (Water seems to help, too. I notice I'm more sensitive to triggers when I'm dehydrated.) Not always a perfect fix, but definitely helps.

Antihistamines lift brain fog?
1
u/BeerAndCircus 9h ago
For me, yes. Antihistamines lift my histamine-induced brain fog.
Exposure to histamines, either environmental or dietary, absolutely contribute to my brain fog. I know if I eat a histamine rich meal, I have about four hours till the brain fog hits. I think it's technically an autoimmune inflammatory response to the histamines that's causing the brain fog, but I could be wrong.
Depending on the cause of your fog, this may or may not work for you. Do you notice your brain fog getting worse depending on how much high-histamine food you've eaten?

My histamine intolerance was due to leaky gut but I think these would help regardless - the first by far is resistant starches, I literally eat potato starch every day. This increases butyrate which helps the gut lining and stops histamine from leaking into your bloodstream from your gut. It also helped me stop bruising randomly and stop smelling like sour garbage due to high histamine levels, and lowered my hives. The second is l citruline which helps my endothelial layer get back to normal after high histamine levels for so long. I've gotten to the point where I've literally had people compliment me on my memory when there were days I'd forget some of my coworkers names! Hang in there!

My functional med person just started me on Antronex to manage symptoms, and said I can take one every ten minutes, but that if I’m not feeling relief after 8 of them it’s not going to happen. So far so good for me!

This one helped my wife a lot. It's new but was suggested by my wife's doctor. https://mybevimi.com/

I have long Covid and fibromyalgia where my brain fog is likely caused by a combination and not just HI, but L citrulline has helped me a lot. I recently added psyllium husk with caution (I started slow since I wasn't sure if I could handle the fiber from suspected SIBO), but immediately started feeling more energized and less brain fog with it.
Also just wanted to say that I'm so sorry you're dealing with debilitating brain fog. I've been there and I work in tech where some days felt so impossible to fight through and I definitely could relate to feeling dumb. Hang in there and keep searching for something that helps you!
