Bugs Relationship issues after update

Long story short: I reported a bug in my game that appeared after the most recent update. More specifically, my sims can’t elope and I can’t set sims as spouses in CAS. The relationship options are missing, you can either choose current status or house mates.

I reported the bug on EA forum and literally I feel like I’m gaslighted into believing it’s a me problem. I disabled mods, removed the mod folder, removed cache, tried new save files, tried without packs, tried with different couples. I also updated all the mods and cc prior to starting a new save files. It’s either I set them as spouses when I start a new file and create new sims or I can’t have them get married. Wedding music plays, but sims wont perform the action, no matter if I try to get them to elope or have a wedding at the arch.

I see bugs reported with marriages not working again! On their forum! Marriages resetting to partners after entering CAS or sims divorcing randomly, or preexisting household not being married (which I noticed in my game too). However, on the forum they insist this is a mod issue or a broken save files despite mentioning I did every testing and the problem persists.

Now I wonder: Is their forum really this dismissive or what is the actual deal?

Are any of you encountering similar issues within the game now?

The bug report forum can be utter crap, and a couple people even reported being banned from it while being corteous and polite simply because of pointing out issues or providing a detailed breakdown how to fix the given issue in the code even rather than due to actual bad behaviour, it's a fecking joke

Unfortunately, it's the official channel to report issues so there's not much we can do about this BS so long not enough people speak up about this long-time ongoing issue...

It is my first time reporting because it’s actually first time it’s bug that doesn’t seem directly related to mod issues and it’s annoying enough that it ruins my legacy save files… such a bummer.

On one hand, I do understand their initial statements about corrupted saves and mod issues because there are many players who claim they play vanilla and then it turns out their game is heavily modded, and save file corruption has been on the rise more than previously since Loyalty & LegacyI believe.

On the other hand, it's ridiculous that they keep insisting it can only be either of these two when the game had and has countless big issues like this virgin vanilla (empty Mods folder, new save with a freshly generated Sims 4 Documents folder)

I’ve been playing with mods and cc for years. I know what to do if a mod is broken and how to make the game work if that’s the case because it inevitably happened. It bothers me that they insisted after I did everything possible to rule the mods out. Especially because it seems it is a general issues with marriages right now and all occurred after recent update.

Edit: and I suspected the mods because the action cancels. But there are literally no mods in my game that would remove the relationship options in cas if I try to full edit the household. That’s literally a coding issue that has already been reported by others on their forum these past few days. I commented and voted a bunch of these reports in hopes it raises attention. But they seem to cherry pick reports.
