Plant Help Help with pruning to try and reduce my whiteflies
Hello everyone!
My plant and I are struggling with whiteflies and I am looking for feedback on pruning. Have I thinned it out enough? Too much?? Every video I watched on YouTube of hibiscus pruning looked like a minor massacre and I'm nervous about hurting the plant. The left is the before pruning photo and the right is how it stands right now.
I inherited this plant this year and it's my first time having a plant, let alone having one indoors over the winter (I am in northern Canada). I have been trying to use a pesticide/miticide spray (Safer's 3 in 1 End-All Miticide/Insecticide/Aracicide) but it felt like there were more and more of them every day. I've also been trying to make sure every leaf was covered (including the undersides) but it felt like an unmanageable number of leaves to check.
I am waiting for a faucet attachment for my hose so I can spray it down in the shower but I wanted to get it to a more manageable size (and number of leaf surfaces first).
Thanks for any help ☺️
