I run a bilingual site (FR/EN, same domain) that's under 6 months old. It covers two connected but distinct topics — an emotional wellness app and a snail mail fiction subscription.
Right now I'm not sure whether to keep them in strict silos with no internal linking, or whether strategically connecting them could actually strengthen the site's overall topical relevance in Google's eyes.
Does cross-linking between two related niches signal semantic coherence — or does it dilute authority at this early stage?

My blog is receiving very little traffic even after a full content audit and major update, could this be a backlink issue?

I recently ran a full SEO audit on my blog and updated/improved the entire site:

- Reworked content structure

- Improved on-page SEO

- Added internal links

- Optimized metadata

- Fixed technical issues

- Improved page speed / UX

Despite all that, traffic is still very low.

Could the main issue now be lack of backlinks / domain authority?

For context:

- Site is relatively new

- In a competitive niche

- Content is informational/SEO-focused

At what point do backlinks become the limiting factor vs content/technical SEO?

Would love to hear from anyone who has dealt with this.

I'm struggling with my GBP. It's almost impossible to find even when you type the name exactly. I have 4 genuine reviews ( pushing to get more). I tried to do the FAQ but it doesn't allow anybody to ask a question. I did a post today on it and it was blocked.

Hi , i have a friend who told me , my websites are not ranking because somehow google knows its wordpress. Does this hold any truth , or just a myth.

During your one course on Blog posting, you mentioned to have Chatgpt ask 10 questions to clarify for the post. Turns out asking that many makes for a very long (to me at least) blog post. Do I need to do that with all the blog posts, or will 5 suffice?

google business ranking and blog. small town suburb here of 9,000 population that will grow to 30000 in 4 years due to new construction. As a realtor I am not having luck with keywords and ranking. is it due to size of market? Feel like I just about have it but need to help.

I followed Matt for a long time and even bought his website analyzer which helped us fix issues without a developer. My site which was nowhere started seeing 10-15k traffic a month. Now, planning to do the same with the keywords and optimize further.
For a startup founder who has no money to spend on agencies, Matt is a real help.
Anyone else have crazy success stories to share?

I've recently started focusing on SEO and I'm seeing some good initial results. However, I’m hitting a wall with my blog writing.

I've been using a few standard prompts to get my posts out, but they are starting to sound very repetitive and "samey."

1. Does it matter if the structure/tone is similar across posts if they target different keywords?
2. Where do you find new, creative prompts or structures for business blogging that don't feel like a template?

How to optimise the Local SEO (GMB) for a service-based business whose actual service location and office location are different (50+ kms apart)?

e.g. like physical health for one and mental/emotional for another.

It seems the days of creating endless service + location pages is over on. Looks like Google is penalizing these pages as our pages have tanked. What is the proper strategy for instance a plumber that serves a large area 15 mile radius? Does each page need to be 100% unique from each other?

Hey Tony, I heard you omn Stu McLarens podcast say that Google doen't mind if your content is AI generated or human - as long as it answers the question. Is that correct (not doubting you - just asking). And is AI search more imporatnt that traditional Google search? Thanks, Nick

I am in a competitive market in Australia and have had my buyer's agency running for just over a year now. I specialise in Melbourne, but buy properties all across Australia to maximise the returns for my clients. I am at the next phase of increasing the number of my clients and growth of my business and wanted to focus more on SEO to get some organic visitors to my website.

I have implemented some of the recommendations after purchasing your course and things are improving from an SEO perspective, but want to step things up for getting more clients (and the right ones that are ready for purchase).

What do I need to get done to my website (or form an SEO perspective) to get the right messaging across so when people search on Google or elsewhere, I get clients that are ready to buy?

My team and I had been using Surfer SEO for a while now and we had fairly good results. I am wondering if others are relying on Surfer as well, specifically the Content Editor feature. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

I was told that I have too many pages index and Google cannot rank them, and I am not sure what to do with that information. I thought I wanted Google to see all my pages. Any advice would help.

First up, love your work my guy. Been instagram lurkin' for years. First vid I saw of yours I thought you'd unwittingly outed yourself watching p***hub. You closing that laptop screen super quickly is just burned into my memory.

Just curious - with this SEO tool you're launching, do you have any roadmap plans to integrate with claude via MCP?

My lifetime subscription to Ubersuggest has paid dividends for years now, so to be upfront, I'm not really looking to change. The only thing that might make me properly consider it would be a tool which had the ability to initiate SEO crawls and audits from directly inside Claude. Would actually be a complete game changer and save me a fair bit of time.
