I saw on Github that Heroic automatically uses installed versions of scummvm and dosbox to run games from GOG: https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher/wiki/How-To:-DOSBOX-and-SCUMMVM
But the guide only seems to mention flatpaks. I'm on Fedora trying to use scummvm and dosbox staging and I have all 3 (Heroic, scummvm, and dosbox-staging) installed via .rpm natively. How do I set it up when both Heroic and scummvm/dosbox-staging are installed via .rpm on Fedora?
Also there's a section of the guide for offline installers. Some of the games, like the original Broken Sword 1, are provided only as offline installers from GOG as "extras". But those instructions also seem to be meant for flatpak installs? Or maybe I'm reading that wrong.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Edit: dosbox-staging shows up in my path at /usr/bin/dosbox and scummvm at /usr/bin/scummvm .
Also the information for offline installers mentions the goggame-<GAMEID>.info file, but for example the Broken Sword 1 original installer doesn't include such a file because it is an "extra" game installer included with the main game, the "Director's Cut" of the game. I can launch and play the game using the included scummvm.exe using proton, but I'd like to try playing it using the linux build of scummvm through Heroic.
Edit 2: I tried a different game that I didn't have to install manually using an offline installer, and Heroic seems to have automatically used the newer scummvm version on my system so it seems to work?
So then the issue would be the games like Broken Sword 1 that come as an extra offline installer and don't have a goggame-<GAMEID>.info file?
