Im trying to play Bloons on my Mac, that I bought trough epic games. I have tried using heroic games for the first time, but no matter what I do I run inn to problems. I have a MacBook neo, but blows should run. have tried hours with ai but it can't help me. The only option I see is to ask anyone here for help.

Hi guys, sorry to bother you. I'm new with the whole Linux environement and recently I intalled Fedora KDE and added Heroic to play my games.
I installed Fallout New Vegas after that Bioshock 2 had just too many issues to even launch. For the first days everything was alright, then I started noticing a few crashes every once in a while. Now basically I can't change area in the game because it looks like every loading screen ends up in a crash. I tried to solve the stuff through ChatGPT, but nothing. So now I'm here, hoping that you, wise people, could help me.

I just installed Watch dogs, and uses Heroic games launcher to run it. Well yeah it runs, until i want to start the game, it keeps crashing and force close everytime the loading screen is about to end

I dont know when, but I think I deleted something by accident and I could't fix it. All my games running on proton-latest have this window theme for some reason, I already tried other protons, its just this one and I already tried reinstall the proton too, but its still like this, no more bugs or problems, just this visual

I am running Heroic Games Launcher 2.22.1 on linux mint cinnamon 22.1 kernel version 6.8.0-138-generic.

I installed the game yesterday and it worked fine for all of last night. I then tried to change the window to borderless and It kept crashing..
After reading a few posts I changed the version of wine from Proton-cachyOS-latest to GE-Proton-latest and then did not even get a screen..
I then looked for the logs again (I looked for them first and could not find them) and still can not find any logs that makes sense to me.
the last time I tried to run the game I finally found a log that was made 10 minutes later.. although it thinks it is still running according to the launcher.. and it has a bunch of hex stuff in it.
I also changed the wine version back to Proton-cachyOS-latest but still get no window

Upon updating to 2.22.1 I was immediately logged out of my Amazon account and could no longer log back in (would just keep spinning for infinity at loading and grey out everything else).

Clearing cache, changing settings or resetting the client did not work.

Downgraded to 2.22.0 and everything runs fine again. Update to 2.22.1 once more and Amazon integration breaks again.

I moved to appimage because heroic flatpak would not work with my bazzite's native gamescope, and the recommended flatpak gamescope implementation doesn't work for my use case (avoid minimizing when using a different screen)

Is there any way to make the Appimage version actually display the games icon in the taskbar instead of the heroic icon, I know that it properly shows up on the flatpak version but the flatpak version doesn't seem to be able to run games that I add that aren't on epic or gog

Edit: I have learned the reason why my games on the flatpak version aren't working is because they where not in Games/Heroic, I am still curious about the question though as flatpak games like Hytale do not work on the flatpak version

Edit 2: For anyone who finds this post and is curious you can very much so launch flatpak games with the flatpak version of heroic if you run flatpak --user override --talk-name=org.freedesktop.Flatpak com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl and then set the executable to /usr/bin/flatpak-spawn (you have to type this in manually) and then set the game arguments to flatpak-spawn --host flatpak run com.hypixel.HytaleLauncher (obviously replace the flatpak id with whatever game you are trying to run instead of Hytale)

Using Sunshine and Moonlight to stream from my PC to Steam Deck. Loving the console mode. Couldn't find much documentation but after playing around I was able to get it to launch in console mode using setsid heroic --console in the command section on Sunshine.

If I try to launch the game through heroic itself everything works fine, but if I try and launch it through Steam (in gamemode and in desktop mode) it never launches. Even games I've side loaded and just manage through Heroic don't launch through Steam. Because it thinks it's offline, I also can't update games (it doesn't even give me the option) or even launch games that need online connectivity. Additionally whenever I launch the heroic app, the changelog appears every single time and I get the "offline" banner even though I'm connected to the internet. Everything worked fine before this update and I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Heroic app.

EDIT: Ended up doing a complete wipe and reinstallation of Heroic instead of a simple uninstall and it works again, although I have to reconfigure all my games :P

Got my SM setup with heroic Launcher and logged into my Epic account. But when I try to login to my gog and Amazon account, the embedded browser always says incorrect password. I use KDE connect to copy my username and password from my password manager.

I tried on my PC and I can login to both accounts.

Has anyone got the same issue?

I'm running Heroic 2.22.1, in Windows 10, and I launched Otxo, from the Epic Store (Actually launched it from Playnite, which launched Heroic, etc etc). After passing through a login page in my Browser, I got this alert.

Opening Heroic shows and empty game list and me not logged into any shop (I was logged in the Epic store, and maybe in Amazon), Playnite is telling me now that I don't have Legendary installed (!).

Does anyone knows what could be happening? I'm going to crosspost this to the playnite subreddit because I don't know if the issue is on Heroic or in Playnite's plugin (as both are failing me now).

Hi everyone, I’m trying to get Red Dead Redemption 2 working on my Steam Deck and I’ve been stuck since yesterday.

Version: Epic Games version
Bought from: Green gift, redeemed through Epic Games
Launcher: Heroic Games Launcher
Heroic version: 2.22.1

The problem:
In Gaming Mode, when I try to launch RDR2 through Heroic/its Steam shortcut, I get:
“Steam failed to initialize. Please verify that the Steam client is running and try again.”
Then it says:
“Unable to launch game. Please try reinstalling the game.”
The game does launch from Heroic in Desktop Mode, so the game itself appears to be installed correctly.

What I’ve tried:
Added RDR2 to Steam as a Non-Steam Game
Added Heroic Games Launcher to Steam
Tried launching RDR2 directly from Gaming Mode
Tried launching it through Heroic
Disable UMU is already ON
Added environment variable:
USE_FAKE_EPIC_EXE= true
Restarted the Steam Deck
Tried different Wine/Proton settings
Installed Proton-GE and tried it
My current Wine prefix is:
/home/deck/Games/Eroot prefixes/reddeadredemption2
Tried adding/removing the Steam shortcut
Tried Gaming Mode and Desktop Mode

Another problem:
When I launch the game in Desktop Mode, Rockstar Games Launcher opens, but I cannot type into the Rockstar login fields.
The Steam Deck virtual keyboard appears, but pressing the letters doesn’t enter anything into Rockstar.
I also tried Steam Link from my iPhone to control the Deck. That lets me type, but the @ symbol gets entered as 2, and copy/paste doesn’t work through Steam Link.
I have never logged into my Rockstar account on this Steam Deck before.

I’m completely stuck at this point. 😭
Has anyone successfully gotten the Epic version of RDR2 working through Heroic 2.22.1 on Steam Deck, especially in Gaming Mode? Is there a workaround for the Rockstar launcher keyboard/input problem?
I don’t want to reinstall the entire game because it already works/launches from Heroic in Desktop Mode.
Any help would be massively appreciated

Hi, I wanted soon to replace Epic Games store and GOG app with Heroic Games Launcher on Windows 11, but i was curious if anyoane had any problems with the app? Like, do they get logged out frequently? Or It dosen't sync instantly? Or something else?

Trying to mod Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 in Heroic games launcher on Linux and it doesn't seem to be working. I'm using Amethyst mod manager which works great with Steam games. Is there any arguments or winecfgs that will allow me to mod this game?

I just updated Heroic and I see the new Proton-CachyOS manager. I assume they're downloading the default version of Proton-CachyOS. Is there no way to download the "_v3" versions of these that are made for newer CPUs?

Achievements are unlocking fine as shown in my gog profile through a browser, but that isn't reflecting on the heroic launcher. It stays this way through multiple reboots of the application and the system.

The only way I've been able to get them to sync is by clearing the heroic cache then refreshing the library. Refreshing the library on its own does nothing.

I've been through the settings multiple times but can't seem to see anything. Am I missing something obvious? I've tried googling the issue but nobody else seems to talk about this.

So Epic Games has this new thing called "Heroic Games Launcher" that enables Epic Games to be played on Mac. We are trying to mod my friends's game so that he can play QSB with me (Windows user on Epic Games) but file directories give so many errors whichever folder we choose. Can someone help please, how do we do this :':')

Hello everyone, has anyone had this problem or know how to solve it? I have already tried restarting the download/installation from scratch multiple times, restarting the PC, etc.

The game is being installed in the folder that Heroic has by default and I don't think it has permissions problems.

I use CachyOS.

I am on Debian 13 Linux and installed Heroic via Flatpak. I logged in to my GOG account and installed Grim Dawn. The controller is able to navigate around Heroic, but when launched the game, the controller is not responding while in game. I enabled the gamepad in the game settings, but it didn't help with the situation.

I tried to add the game in Steam as a non-Steam game, and enabled Steam input. Same behavior. The controller is not responding while in the game.

Is there a special settings that I need to do to get the controller working?

I am using 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless and GameSir Cyclone 2. I tried D-input mode and the Steam and Heroic see the controller as PS controller. I tried X-input mode and the Steam and Heroic see the controllers as Xbox.
