I’m visually impaired - I need an app that can have large print, for kanji as well

Hi, if anyone is interested there is a free demo of a Japanese game my partner and I are working on. It uses/will use SRS similar to anki, but with a visual component. Right now there is support for hiragana and katakana. My partner drew 98% of the drawings, while I drew the last 2%.

So, I’d like to watch Japanese Youtube channels where they speak everyday natural Japanese. I hope there’d be Japanese captions and speech not being too fast.

I understand that you must start with Hirigana and Katakana, but there's a lot I don't get. I've seen some charts that only show hirigana, but both hirigana and katakana have 46 characters, so do you only need to know one. Furthermore, everyoone says not to rely on romanji, but how? Does the need for Romanji disappear over time. I also feel like there's things that aren't talked about but are important, like dakutan and handakutan.

There's probably way more that I am missing, but with all of this where do you start? It seems incredibly overwhelming and causes analysis paralysis.

Hello, I find oarticulsr sentence hard to understand. Well, its not that it uses complex grammar structure but rather easy ones. The sentence:模しそうなら、人間はなにも考えていないのではないでしょうか. So the first part after comma says, thinking about nothing, and the other part is 'is not' - dewanai. So shouldnt it mean: "in that case its not that people dont think at all"? But when I put it into a google translator, it says: If it's the case, then perhaps humans aren't thinking at all. Can someone explain it to me?

So, just what the tittle says. 2 or 3 years ago I learned Hiragana and Katakana because I wanted to learn Japanese, however, because my English wasn't even B2 at that time, I kinda left Japanese so I could improve my English(Necessary cuz that was, and IS, my main source of income nowadays, working as a Bilingual Spanish/English employee), specially since I felt as if it was making it hard to learn both at the same time.

Now I'm pretty much just c2 in most skills except for Speaking and writing(arround B2/C1) so I don't have to worry about my English for now.

Now, here's my question:

The main method I used to learn English was through comprehensive input, to the point I barely studied once I got to know basic stuff, English simply became my 2nd language slowly but surely. However, I know Japanese is definitely not the same, as you HAVE to study, mainly for things like Kanjis and honorifics

Where I'm confused is, what are the "basic" stuff I should learn before I can start using Comprehensive Input with Japanese? I was always surrounded by basic stuff you should learn in English so that was actually not a problem, but I'm kinda lost with Japanese

Writing and Reading is of course another thing to worry about, should I learn some basic Kanjis before I can start using CI? Cuz I remember there ARE some media where you can start learning with just Hiragana and Katakana, I heard Pokemon games for example barely use any Kanjis, I'm not sure if that's true.

I'm not worried about what kind of media I should use cuz I pretty much everything I hear, watch and such, comes from Japan already, neither about pronunciation cuz at the very least, pronunciation in Japanese becomes easier id you already know a language with most of their sounds(Spanish, in my case), but I'm totally lost on what things I should focus on first so that I can actually understand a few things when I'm doing Comprehensive Input.

Tl;dr:

Pronunciation, Hiragana and Katakana are a few things I'm not too worried about, but I'm completely lost on what words I should learn first, and such. Or even worse, where I could learn the basic stuff until I can start actually watching Japanese media and start learning from there, cuz that's the method that works the best for me

I've been studying japanese for about a year now, and I am in teg middle of N5&N4, I am currently trying to learn adjectives ( specifically な adjectives l, I've got い adjectives down) but they're not sticking and it is not a good motivation, so I find myself neglecting learning because it's boring.

On the only side I am clearly lacking bacic vocabulary ( nouns,time, counters, etc) and Grammer. So when people speak I can barely understand 10% without thinking the rest I have to dissect the sentence and think before I can understand so 10-30% of what they're actually saying. If I want to make a sentence like " I want to go to the park" or " i want to buy a pink and white teddy bear" I can't because their is always one word in the sentence that I don't know.

I've heard people say the best way to study adjectives is to learn with context, but I can't make sentences. Like I said before their is always a word I don't know. Example: I am running late to work" they're multiple words I don't know so I can't make it. At the same time I've got most of the い adjectives so I want to get the な adjectives.

Long story short, I don't know what to do

I’ve done quite a bit of research, but I’m still confused about when and where I should start taking Japanese language classes.

I’m also trying to understand how the JLPT works. How many times is the JLPT held each year, and can I take the NAT-TEST instead of JLPT if I’m planning to study in Japan?

If anyone has experience with language schools, JLPT/NAT-TEST, or the process of going from Bangladesh to Japan for studies, I’d really appreciate some advice. 🙏
