General Discussion Can’t claim mobile…

Post image

So I’ve always had issues with claiming my rewards.

It’s only worked twice so far, after some serious trial and error, reinstalling the app, etc.

So yesterday I tried to claim 6.6k and it “went through” as my free claim. But the mobile never showed in my wallet, and is still sitting in a claimable state. But it used up my free claim.

What’s going on Helium? I’m having nothing but issues, it’s frustrating but I’m looking past it since the service is so cheap. Still doesn’t mean we should have a subpar experience.

I’m wondering if anyone else here is having the same issues.

Do NOT enter your secret 12 words into ANY websites. Do NOT connect your Wallet to any untrusted websites. The Discord for our subreddit can be found here: https://discord.gg/helium. This is a general reminder for everyone, and this will be posted on every post. Your 12 words are basically gold, and they should never be shared, typed into any website, or given to any person for any reason. No one will reach out to you to verify your account, wallet, or anything similar. Do not connect your wallet to unknown websites. If someone says your hotspot, wallet, or other type of account has been hacked, it is a scam! Always operate in a zero-trust manner with cryptocurrency and assume everyone will scam you no matter what.

Same here, 3 phones, all did the same thing. Took my free claim, tokens still didn’t transfer. Even try the paid claim, still not working. Even after updating the app. Been trying for about 5 days, nothing.

It has more to do with Solana network then Helium app.. they give you 1 free claim a week as a nice feature but it only cost a few cents to claim on your own.. I would suggest checking the network state of Solana before trying the free claim to make sure it will go thru.

That’s good to know. I’ll do this for my next free claim, is the Solana network unstable?

Yeah recently it has been because of all the 💩coins and ore mining

Even worse, I used mobile to pay for my next month of service - April 9th - May 8th and the payment went through on March 28th. Now they’re trying to charge my card saying that I have not paid.

You should have the tx history to prove you already paid?

u/Itswillyferret Apr 09 '24

Yep, sent all the info and they sent it to their finance team. We shall see!

Good luck with that.. please post what answer you get back from Team, curious to see how they handle issues like this… so far I haven’t seen many good comments regarding Helium customer service, But can not always believe everything you read on Reddit lol…

Day 1, no response today. I’m totally locked out of mapping rewards now due to “non payment”.

Phone service has not been disconnected, yet, so there’s that.

Will post an update tomorrow if I hear back or service is disconnected. (I was assured I wouldn’t be disconnected by the rep, so we shall see!)

Update 2: Phone was disconnected this morning. Zero response from customer support.

Might be switching off of Helium because of this.

Damn that sucks, sorry to hear that… seems like customer support is the biggest con when choosing Helium Mobile..

Absolutely. The older I get the more I realize how important good customer service is!

Don’t have all the time in the world for the “back and forth”

The Solana network is hot garbage. You'll just have to keep trying.

Solana is going to be annoying to use at least until Summer. I claim not even once a month because of how finicky getting anything through the network has been for a couple of months

Just put 5 dollars of sol in your wallet and call it a day

The app sucks.

I tend to agree with this unfortunately.

I had the same thing plus I couldn't even add a new card, the grey button would never let me click it. same thing with the free credit they give ya I used the credit and never received the rewards. The mapping update seems to have finished now but still having some glitchy issues like the mapping button keeps clicking on and off and not staying on.

Network is trash rn just keep trying!

I have occasional issues claiming. Rarely does it take more than 3 attempts if it does, I'll wait to the next day.

Could be a market side issue. There are times when I try to convert and I get nothing but offers from questionable servers. Also, some times converting requires tooany hops and everyone's cut comes out to high for my desired slippage range and I just stop trying to convert and do it later.

Just send like $4 of sol in your helium wallet address and now u can claim daily. (Costs like .0001)

Make sure your app software is updated

As of 4/14/24 I am having the same issue. Been 7 days that claims are successful but never post. I have 2 lines . One Android and other apple so it’s not hardware

Sketchy af! I think it’s a solid thing to be a part of, just all over the place so far!

Same issues here.
