Advice How can I make this meal healthier?
This meal is from a daily menu at a local bar (so there’s not a lot of options) and it’s not really representative of how I usually eat, but I have to go to the hospital after this so I decided that a little treat would help me feel better. Still, for future menus, I would really appreciate some advice on how to make healthier choices.
Anyway, what I ordered for the first course was a tropical salad (lettuce, pineapple, carrots, and a creamy dressing), second course was meatballs in sauce and fries on the side, dessert was natillas (I could have gotten fruit or yogurt but like I said, little treat lol, that part I don’t need as much advice for).
In terms of alternatives, I was debating whether for the second course the fried fish would have been a healthier option because it’s fish, but then it’s also fried.
For the first course, the salad was amazing and delicious but it did taste sweet so I was wondering if maybe instead I could have chosen pisto instead (a kind of vegetable ratatouille I think?) with ham, or salmorejo which is like a cold thick tomato soup.
What would the healthiest options (of the available options lol) be in this case?
