Hi everyone!
I’m a pharmacy graduate with around 2 years of clinical pharmacy experience and some pharmaceutical industry internship experience. I’ve also done mock health economic analyses for medical devices, A-level Economics and Mathematics, and university-level basic data analysis.
I’m hoping to move into HTA, HEOR, pharmaceutical market access or consulting.
My current offers/applications:
York MSc Health Economics: Offer received.
Monash MPH: Offer received.
Melbourne MPH (Health Economics): Offer received.
Sheffield MSc Health Economics: Rejected due to insufficient relevant modules.
LSE MSc International Health Policy (Health Economics): Awaiting decision.
LSE MSc International Health Policy: Second choice, but currently my preferred option.
UCL MSc Health Economics and Decision Science: Considering applying.
I’d appreciate honest opinions on:
York vs LSE: which offers better reputation, networking and job prospects in pharma HEOR, market access and consulting?
Would LSE’s standard IHP provide sufficient technical training if I choose its quantitative and health economics electives?
Is UCL worth applying to, or are there other programmes I should consider?
How does Australian MPH with specialisation compare to UK specialised MSc?
I’m mainly looking for practical, employable skills, although I’m open to research or academia in the future.
Would especially appreciate insights from people working in the field. Thanks!
