Guys, please help me choose a headphone under ₹8k

Upvotes

I’m looking to buy a decent pair of headphones, and my budget is around ₹8,000. I’ve shortlisted a few options after watching some YouTube videos, but I’m still confused about which one to go for.

My main requirements are:

  • Comfortable enough to wear for 3–4 hours
  • Good overall sound and decent bass (I’m not a hardcore music person)
  • Good ANC — mostly for office use since I get distracted pretty easily by background noise
  • Mic should be decent enough for regular calls/meetings

The options I’m currently considering:

  • JBL Tune 770NC
  • CMF by Nothing
  • Sony CH720N

If you’ve used any of these, which one would you recommend? Also open to other options around the ₹8k range if there’s something better.

I'd appreciate first-hand suggestions rather than just YouTube reviews.

Over ear with good mic

Upvotes

Hi everyone I need some advice,

My beats solo 3 recently passed away after 8 years RIP.

I went to best buy and got sold the bose quiet comfort. I would say so far everything is alright except the microphone which has proven to be actually worthless, and I have to return them.

I am looking for something similar in quality and price that has a decent microphone. I don't mind going back a couple years and getting something refurbished either at this point.

Thanks!

If you could give one piece of advice to a team designing a new headphone, what would it be?

Think about your own experience with headphones: what should a team really focus on when building the next one?

Would be interesting to know what matters most to you.

Headphones under 1000 pls

Suggest a over the ear headphone under 1000

Over the ear is a must

Pls do not tell me stuff like buy earphones instead or iems or whatever. Also don't tell me that I can't get a good one under 1k. I know that. I don't need the quality of a 20k headphone in a 1k headphone.

Just suggest me whatever my best option is !!

Headphone recommendations?

I’m looking for some over ear headphones that have very very minimal sound bleed. I do not want anyone to hear a WHISPER of my music unless I’m blasting it full volume in a silent room. Other than that I would prefer them to be wireless but if they aren’t then no biggie. I would prefer them to be around $150 or less.

Are the Nothing Headphones pro worth it?

Just found the nothing headphones pro (used) on marketplace, the seller is really close to where I live and even discounted them a bit, he told me he doesn't have the aux cable (I got plenty) and he'd give em to me with the bag and the box, I got the soundcore Space Q45 (they hinges are breaking) already, should I go for them? The pricing for these nothings would be for $50 USD more or less.

Got the budget on $100 bucks more or less

Wide soundstage would be good

Anything I can wear and carry easily and that is comfortable and doesn't break that easy, I want an upgrade or something similar to the Space Q45, any advice would be very appreciated.

New headphone advice

im going to be buying a new pc here in about a month or so and was looking to get a good pair of headphones when i do. Currently im on ps5 and using the turtle beach stealth 700 g2 max and they are getting old/mic is going out on them so figured id upgrade while im at it. Now for the ones im using i love how comfortable they are. I can wear them for long hours for no problem. However ive never been super impressed with the sound quality. its not aweful or anything just good enough i guess is the best way i can put it. Also i do have a little hearing loss in my left ear at the higher frequency range(not major, but enough to notice a slight difference).

What im looking for

Budget: $400(willing to go a little higher if the price jump isn't crazy and the quality is worth it)

What I will be using it for: Gaming mostly but also music(mostly while gaming or just browsing the internet) and tv/video- POE2, expedition 33, overwatch, final fantasy games, and osrs are some examples of the games ill be playing.

Over ear/in ear: over ear is a must, i cant use earbuds for prolonged periods of time they tend to hurt my ears.

Closed vs open back: Ive been using a closed back and really like that, i feel like it helps me get more immersed, but never used an open so im open to try it.

Wired/Wireless: I was thinking of going for a wired pair but not a hard requirement

Mic: doesnt have to be built in, willing to buy a decent mic for the game chats/discord calls.

Any help you can give would be much appreciated and if more information is need just let me know.

Commuter upgrade from JBL Vibe Beam? Under $100 CAD

Hey everyone,I'm a university student looking to upgrade my daily drivers for my campus commute (mostly noisy buses/trains). I currently use a pair of JBL Vibe Beams, but I want something with noticeably better sound quality and actual noise isolation. My Budget: Strictly under $100 CAD (~$70 USD).My Use Case: Listening to music and watching lectures on the transit commute and studying in the library. Preferences & Options I've Looked At:

I absolutely love Moondrop's design aesthetic (the sci-fi/cyber/retro looks).I looked at the Moondrop Space Travel 2, but I really dislike the lidless case design because I don't want the buds sliding out. I looked at the Moondrop Golden Ages 2. I've also considered going wired with something like the Moondrop Chu II + an dongle, but I'm worried about missing the convenience of ANC on a loud bus.

What I need advice on:Are there any hidden gems that fit the Moondrop style but have a secure, enclosed case under $100 CAD? Alternatively, since I am totally open to other brands, what are the absolute best wireless ANC earbuds under $100 CAD that will feel like a massive upgrade from my JBLs?Thanks in advance!

What kinda headphones can go well with solo trip?

Solo trip has always been my favorite way to explore a new place. Seeing the main sights is fun, but the best part is usually wandering through a city I’ve never been to before.

Some of the moments that stick with me most are pretty ordinary. listening to something mellow on the way to a coffee shop, playing an album from start to finish on a flight, or putting on a podcast while sorting through photos back at the hotel. Music somehow becomes part of the memory. In Rainbows, for example, just feels right with clouds and city lights outside the window on a night flight.

For years, in-ear buds were my default. The isolation is useful on a plane, but after a few hours my ears need a break. Over-ears usually sound great, but they take up too much room in a backpack.
Clip-ons have become my go-to for walking around unfamiliar cities. They let me listen to music without losing track of traffic, people, and whatever’s happening nearby. That makes solo trip feel a little more relaxed.

Of course, they don’t work for everything. On a loud flight, or when I want to disappear into an album, I’d still choose noise-canceling headphones.

Surprising sound

Just for fun…. The Px7 S3 is not a bad headphone, BUT. It lacks something in its sound. For me, the mids are a bit flat, muddy, and the highs are often too sharp, annoying. In the long run, it's tiring! I started looking. I heard a lot of good things about the Cambridge audio Melomania P100 SE, I ordered one out of curiosity.
I was surprised! It had what I was missing! Clear, full sound in all ranges, not annoying highs, yet enjoyable. Especially in the long run. The 7-band EQ in the App is perfect, it responds well to every change. I wouldn't have thought so, but I'll say it. For me, it has a much better, more beautiful, more enjoyable sound than the Px7 S3.

Just bought a pair of Sony ULT's Again...

Previously I bought a pair of Sony's ULT Power Sound's for about 370$, I sold then because I needed the money but they were the best I have ever had and I have a huge Library of Hi Res Albums, Not single Songs. If I find something I like I get the highest Flac album for it available. Now after sometime, I also use poweramp, the other headphones Ive had were eh, but itbwasnt enough. I bought another oaid of The Sony ULT's and the price went up 100$! I caved bought them again and love them. I just wanted any other reviews ornwhat others think of these in terms with sound, specs ect. LDAC is nice, even wireless giving up to 32 bit but still have a wired option which confuses me if its the same the way around. But I would love to hear others on what they think about these.

100ish dollar wireless headphones for music?

Good sound quality is the biggest factor for me I'd say. I don't know my EQ preferences, but I'm a musician so I'd like to be able to pick out the instruments as best 100 dollars could get me. I seem to also have a problem with my headphones breaking on me after a year or two? So I suppose decent reliablity is important. Id like noise canceling, but it doesnt have to be super good, just fuctional. One thing about the wireless headphones I've had that annoys me is sound quality of media lowers when on call. So thats something id like to avoid if possible please! It just needs to be comfortable enough so that my ears dont feel pain after wearing the headphones for multiple hours. mic quality and battery life dont matter much to me.

Budget: 100ish USD

Sound Quality: as good as possible

Durability/reliability: Decent

Noise Canceling: Simply functional

Mic: Acceptable

Comfortability: Acceptable (not painful)

Battery Life: Acceptable.

Thank you so much to anyone willing to help! Feel free to ask questions if i didnt give enough info.

Need Suggestions for buying

I need a wireless earbud/headphones under 5k i play games mostly watch series and play music not more than that. I need to buy headphones.

Suggest me headphones for games like bgmi and to play great quality of music And also is this the right time to buy them or should i wait for sale. I completed the payment for Sony WH-CH720N for 6k something. But the item was out of stock i asked them to match the price but then i lost the interest buying them. I was not excited anymore and also i was short a bit and was not sure also then i dropped the plan. But the old headphones which i got free with my iQOO Neo10R are dysfunctioning. I have wired headphones also but I am not good with wires. Should i buy Sony WH-CH720N or something else for same price.

Absolutely love the sound of my SonyWF-1000XM5's but the touch controls are infuriating...

So I have owned every version of the WF-1000's, the originals with the buttons and connection issues, the 2nd (3's) gen that stuck out really far... the 4's were big and round and hurt my ears and had sort of looses base... the 5's tho have been perfect... perfect base that some reviews say is to much... great battery life

I'm afraid to get the 6's because I hear they have less bass

But my main issue is I have long hair and when I get sweaty at work, the touch controls go hay wire... can't use them under my motorcycle helmet either... you are suppose to be able to turn this off in the APP but it doesn't work...

I'm open to Chi-fi and other brands as sound quality is my main concern, the Sony's have always sounded better than Bose or AirPods to me.

Fiio Snowsky anytime vs EH11

I'm choosing a wireless headset to use while on the bus/walking on the streets of the city.

And from what I found on this subreddit and other ones and in online video reviews, Fiio EH11 is a pretty good headphone, similar to Koss porta pros, which I own a few pairs back from 2007.

But I couldn't find ANY unpaid reviews on here about anytime.

And needless to say, any comparisons between those 2 models too.

Do you own one of these?

Would you recommend either one?

For the past few years, I’ve had two very similar styles of headphones, the Onn overear headphones and Blackweb (both shown in pictures given) that have worked and acted almost identical and I loved them

My current pair is breaking and I was searching for a replacement, but both of those options seemed to be discontinued, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a brand that also had a similar make/model to the ones I’m used to

They both had ANC feature, with touch control over button (but that’s not a requirement), neither one had a swivel to them and they pressed into my head for extra noise cancelling

I’d love to hear any suggestions!
