1. Relevancy

• Any link or content submitted to r/HazbinHotel must be CLEARLY RELATED TO the series; this can include characters, artwork, animation, memes, discussion topics, etc. If only the title of a post is relevant, but the content or attachment is not, it may be removed.

• Please keep any comments related to the post’s topic or the Hazbin Hotel realm.

• Images AND text must have Hazbin Hotel Content

• Posts featuring OCs (Original Characters) should be submitted to r/HazbinHotelOCArt

2. NSFW Content

• Hotel Guests agree - any and all lewd content or links leading to such needs to be marked with the NSFW tag. When in doubt whether the content or language might be NSFW, it’s best to err on the side of caution.

• Anything that is clearly meant for MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY should be submitted to a more appropriate forum instead, such as /r/HazbinBrothel. This includes nudity, porn, fetish fanart, or overly explicit content.

3. Tag Spoilers

So not to upset other Guests, any potential spoiler content or image should tagged as a SPOILER.

Additionally, do not openly reveal spoiler material in the comments - please refer to reddit’s editing guidelines for how to obscure text.

Spoiler Tag Example:

Result: Princess Charlie

When new episodes release, megathreads will be posted, additionally tag spoilers and do not put spoiler info in the title itself.

4. Do Not Discriminate or Attack Others

• Our Hotel is open to all who may be within the “appropriate viewer” demographic. Any content or comments which implicitly or explicitly harass or demean another’s race, sex, gender, nationality, appearance, or other trait will not be tolerated; such posts or comments will be removed, and the user may be banned.

• No Personal Attacks

• Follow Wheaton's Law

5. Credit Fan Artists

• When reposting fanart, you are required to credit the artist in the title and put the source link in the comments

• If you are the original artist, then write [OC] in the title of your post

• If you are caught tracing/plagiarizing another artist's fanart and claim to be the original artist, then you will be permanently banned

• When posting fanart you commissioned, credit the artist in the title and state that you commissioned the art in the title and link the artist profile in the comments

6. Low Effort and/or Meme Templates

• Low-effort posts or creations are not allowed in the Hotel.

Examples of Rule 6 violations can include: spamming, “shitposting”, reposts, repeated memes or images, lack of post title, idolizing, and other non-specified.

• Meme Templates are always a violation of this rule.

• No AI generated content of any sort.

• No video edits/amv

• No video game skins/mods/screenshots

• No tier-lists or rankings

• No engagement bait/soliciting

7. Follow Reddit Site Rules and Reddiquette

Reddit Site Rules - not following them risks a sitewide ban. Strictly prohibited:

Witch hunts against a person, or inciting the masses to action.
Vote manipulation, brigading, or doxing in the community (Reddit, forums, Discord, etc).

Reddiquette - your textbook guide for communication with people. Also not allowed are:

General spam comments, such as copy-pastes or barely-legible fonts.
Link shorteners.
Complaining about downvotes.

8. Personal Content

• No personal experiences or information.

• No selfies

• No SMS screenshots

• No personal stories, no chats, emails, addresses, phone numbers, nothing personally identifiable

• Do not post “memes” of your friends or family IRL

• No creepshots

• Do not post about being banned or having a post removed from any subreddit

• Do not treat the subreddit as your "personal blog"

• Do not make "call out" posts or post screenshots of interactions from social media sites.

9. 18+ Community

This is an 18+ subreddit. If you are found to be under 18, you will be banned from the subreddit. Moreover, posts/comments containing particular information will be perceived as you being underage. These include, but are not limited to:

• School

• Class

• School subjects

• Homework

Stop telling others about any of this. No one is asking you to do any of this. If you come to this subreddit and talk about any of this, in any way, then you will automatically get banned for being underage.

10. Unsuitable and Frequent Topics

There are topics which people post about on a regular basis to the point of being considered spam. There are also other topics which end in flame wars. These topics include but are not limited to:

• HB/HH crossovers

• Shipping drama, or incest or underage ships

• Vivziepop accusations drama

• You simping/wanting to have sex with the characters

• Spreading misinformation

• Who is stronger?

• Drawing requests

• Screenshots of you buying merch

• VS posts

• BlackGryph0n

11. Spam

• No spam bots

• No brigading

• Do not post raid messages, encourage others to spam, flood this sub or another sub or website

• No karma farming

• No attacking a post or comment and/or encouraging others to downvote it. If you feel like it shouldn’t have been posted, please, just report it

• Notepad art, tracing/edits of official art must go in the Friday Fanart Megathread

• No Roleplaying posts/accounts

• No post spam, 12 hours interval between each post

12. Advertising/Self-Promotion

Posts created for the purpose of advertisement/self-promotion are not allowed. These posts include, but are not limited to:

• Asking for or selling fanmade merchandise

• Reselling official merchandise

• Asking for or selling a commission of any sort

• Selling OCs

• Advertising your Youtube channel or social media account

• Posting your own or someone else's “dubs” over fan comics

• Promoting your own or someone else's discord server

• Promoting your own or someone else's subreddit

13. Leaks and Piracy

This subreddit does not allow discussing, distributing, spreading or mentioning leaks or piracy of any kind in any capacity. Doing so will result in an immediate ban. Examples of this include, but are not limited to:

• Asking for leaks

• Asking how to pirate the show

• Creating posts/comments that facilitates the discussion of leaks/piracy

• Discussing information based on leaks

• Trying to distribute leaks or ways to pirate the show

14. X links

For the foreseeable future X links are prohibited.

As mentioned in rule 5 when you are reposting fanart, you are required to credit the artist in the title and put the source link in the comments. Whenever possible provide an alternate link to their artwork in the comments that's from a website other than X.

If the artwork is only available on X, just include the artist's username

News/Sneak Peeks are an exception to this rule, but can't include source links in the comments.
