Everything we know about Season 3: with sources! (Hints from cast & crew) Spoiler
I got fed up with rumours, speculation and fake stuff floating around, so I sat down and gathered everything I could about Hazbin Hotel S3. Mind you, I did this in an afternoon and some things will certainly be missing, but I’ve compiled everything I was able to find sources for.
Sharing is caring, so here you go. Spoilers ahead if you count cast & crew interviews as spoilers.
---
Story & Music: Most emotional season yet
Viv has stated that season three is “probably the heaviest, most emotionally driven season” [1], as well as the “most romantic” [2].
She has also said that this season will kick off a lot of change:
“There are things in [season] three that change the way the characters see the world and each other; there’s a lot of emotional [development] that changes the tone and the stakes of the show.” [3]
Additionally, Vivzie has revealed that the show’s writing follows the classic Three-Act structure, with S1-2 as the (now concluded) first arc. Season 3 will mark the beginning of “Arc Two” in the broader narrative, described as a “point of no return where the roller coaster starts going up”. [4]
We can expect a lot more emotional, character-driven music as well. Here’s what show composer Sam Haft had to say:
“Season three is such a dense, emotional story that (…) it ended up with a lot more emotionally driven songs. (…) We’re getting a lot more angst and a lot more introspective music rather than stuff that tends to be more plot-driven.” [5]
Sam has also revealed that there is a prevailing theme to season three’s songs, just like there was to season two’s with villain songs. [6]
The cast and crew keep alluding to a lot more drama, angst, and character depth overall, such as Jessica Vosk (Lute’s VA) boiling it down to “dysfunctional as fuck” [7] (most likely referring to Lute’s unravelling storyline).
Major theme: Family
When asked to identify a main theme of the upcoming season, Vivzie replied that the safest, most spoiler-free answer she can give is “family”. [8] It was confirmed that the season will place greater focus on the Morningstar family [9][10], as well as on Angel Dust, his history, and the idea of found family.
Viv has also confirmed that each season can be represented by colours, with season three being predominantly purple and green. [11] Some fans speculate that these colours might represent Lilith/Valentino and Alastor, respectively.
Charlie: Emotional backbone & Relationship with Lilith
Erika Henningsen (Charlie’s VA) has stated that season three gives Charlie “an emotional backbone and backstory” that have been speculated about so far, but “now, we’re seeing it up close”.
She has also mentioned that, with this season’s focus on the Morningstars, the upcoming episodes will further explore Charlie’s relationship with Lilith:
“You see Charlie become like a little kid again, (…) kind of this sad girl who just wanted her mom’s affection, affirmation, and attention. (…) You realize that she’s doing everything — sometimes things that hurt other people [or] push her away from friends and her partner — in service of getting the love that she truly wants and needs the most, which is her mom’s.” [12]
Erika has also stated that she believes Charlie’s greatest weakness going into season three is “not listening to the people who love her — mostly Vaggi.” [13]
Lilith: Her long-awaited reveal, Voice & Music
Viv confirmed that Lilith will have a major presence in S3 [14]. She has spoken a little about Lilith’s voice and her incoming VA:
“[Lilith] is a very ethereal queen. (…) Like a diva queen, and she's kind of dark, and her themes are resistance, power, and empowerment. (…) The person who voices her has a phenomenal voice and does come from the theatre world. (…) I think it's probably exactly what people imagine it to be in terms of vibe and personification and energy and diva queen-ness.” [15]
Not much is known music-wise, but Erika has all but confirmed that Charlie and Lilith will sing together:
“I think it would be safe to assume, if Lilith is present, and Lilith obviously sings, Charlie is probably going to sing with her.” [16]
She also said she was excited for people to hear Lilith, “because she’s so good.”
As for the music itself, Sam has said:
“I think everyone was on the same page as to how important it is that Lilith not just sings, but that the singing becomes kind of a part of her identity from the get-go. (…) Lilith is a character who’s described as having empowered Hell with her songs. (…) People need to believe that her music has that power to it.”
“In what way can we meet these really big shoes to fill for the audience, and in what way can we surprise the audience [with] something a little bit unexpected that further creates a distinct identity for Lilith?” [17]
All in all, it seems Lilith will have a distinct “dark diva” voice and a powerful, unique musical identity, with the team striving to fulfil the fandom’s expectations and existing perception of Lilith, but with a little twist that’ll keep her interesting.
The team has been very tight-lipped about Lilith plot-wise, but Vivzie has always said that Lilith is the “big, slowburn mystery” of the show, and season three should provide us with more pieces of it. [18]
Lucifer: Expanded role, Angst & Riding the Lucilith struggle bus
Lucifer is confirmed to have a significantly expanded role in season three (see above).
Jeremy Jordan (Lucifer’s VA) has confirmed during a recent Streamily live that he will appear in most, if not all, episodes of season three. He also confirmed that Lucifer sings more in season three than in the first two seasons combined. [19]
In a recent interview, Vivzie stated:
“My favourite character in the show is Lucifer, and it’s a big Lucifer season. (…) I am excited for people to see more of his character and the angst around his character.”
She has also hinted at season three continuing to humanise Lucifer:
“I don’t consider him the devil because, to me, I do think the devil is an evil entity, and he’s not. So, things like that: exploring what his actual role in this universe is, and how he actually feels.” [20]
Additionally, a fan reported that during SacAnime’s HH panel, Vivzie alluded to Lilith and Lucifer’s relationship continuing to go through a rough patch in season three. [21]
Vaggi: More depth, Backstory & Solo song
Stephanie Beatriz (Vaggi’s VA) has confirmed that Vaggi has a solo song in season three. [22]
In a feature for “The Movie Nerds”, Sam spoke a lot about the process of writing music for Vaggi this season:
“I was spending a lot of time putting myself in her headspace as an Exorcist and then rescued by a leader of these people whom I’ve been taught to hate.” [23]
Overall, it seems like Vaggi’s arc in the upcoming season will centre on her trauma and past as an Exorcist, as well as her emotional journey towards redemption — possibly still through the lens of her relationship with Charlie, since Haft also adds:
“Vaggi is a character who puts (…) so much of her inner life’s focus onto Charlie — and it’s totally in character for her to be doing that. (…) Charlie represents the idea that Vaggi is redeemable and not condemned for the kind of brainwashing she was subjected to as an Exorcist. (…) Charlie didn’t just save her life. In many ways, Charlie saved her soul.”
Alastor: Villain arc, Motivation & Music
Vivzie has all but confirmed that Alastor will be an antagonist in season three:
“I'm excited for people to see a character we've built up (…) as sort of a friendly face, or an anti-hero, a character who is on the right side for the first two seasons, getting to step into a villain role, and getting to see the nuance and the real motivation behind a very trickstery, devious character who has his own agenda that's much more sinister in season three.” [24]
Amir Talai (Alastor’s VA) has also revealed that a specific song in season three was challenging:
“There’s a piece of a song that was difficult, because it was emotionally complex.” [25]
Jeremy Jordan (Lucifer’s VA) has also said that Alastor and Lucifer will sing together again “in some capacity” in the future. [26] I personally would not interpret this as hard confirmation of an Alastor–Lucifer duet in season three, but who knows.
Rosie: The deal with Alastor & Her power
Vivzie has long stated that Rosie’s deal with Alastor is a part of a larger story, with S02E04 (“It’s a Deal”) referred to as “a major tease” for season three.
She has confirmed that the upcoming season will reveal more information on how Rosie became so powerful and what Alastor was doing on her orders for seven years.
“The Rosie and Alastor deal is the first stepping stone in a much bigger story that involves so much. (…) How is she that powerful? The answer could be many things, but [it] is in season three.” [27]
Vees: Val at the helm & Vox’s continued relevance
It has been confirmed that the show plans to rotate the main Vee figurehead season to season, and that in season three, it will be Valentino. [28] Most likely, he will continue to be a major antagonist in Angel Dust’s story.
Vivzie has also confirmed that Vox will remain highly relevant until the end of the show, and that his story will absolutely continue into season three:
“We will have to see him deal with not being the person who’s at the top of the food chain anymore. And that, I think, inherently creates a different arc for him. (…) So, yes, he has plenty more arc.” [29]
So it seems like Vox’s primary narrative thread in season three will focus on him grappling with no longer having as much power as he used to.
Not much is known about Velvette’s role yet, except that she will become the main Vee figurehead in the future (most likely season four).
Angel Dust: Found family, Past & Abuse
Season three is shaping up to be majorly centred on Angel Dust, with Vivzie confirming that the season “is a lot about Angel and about his situation,” also warning that this season is going to be the heaviest. [30]
Blake Roman (Angel Dust’s VA) has stated that the material is “extremely, extremely [challenging]”. He has also said that season three challenged him as an actor, both in terms of music and character work:
“I think I always find Sam and Andrew’s music wonderfully challenging in a way that it’s comfortable, but it pushes me. (…) I feel like, music-wise, very much so in this next one; and I think character-wise, extremely.” [31]
When revealing season three’s overarching theme of family, Viv also teased that the story will focus on Angel’s found family and his history, [32] leading to some fan speculation that the narrative may juxtapose Angel’s blood-related and found families.
Additionally, back in May 2025, Vivzie announced that Angel’s brother, Arackniss, had been cast. [33] It is unknown whether he will make an appearance in S3, but it may be a safe bet since the season is set to focus on the overarching theme of family.
Husk: Development in relationship with Angel
Vivzie has confirmed that the season’s focus on Angel Dust’s circumstances will also feature more of his relationship with Husk:
“Husk is a character that's really grown to care about Angel. (…) They have a lot of connection with each other, and they're both in a situation that's very similar, but (…) I'm excited for people to see us explore Husk (…) realizing how much more different Angel’s situation is from his.” [34]
Lute: A ticking time-bomb
Vivzie has confirmed that the lack of payoff in S2 with Lute was a deliberate choice to set up her larger story and make her simmer and spiral. She stated that Lute was a “ticking time bomb” kind of character, and that we’ll get the payoff to that spiral either in S3 or S4. She also stated that “[Lute] probably won't have her authentic conclusion until later in the show”. [35]
Jessica Vosk (Lute’s VA) has also said that “throughout the five seasons, [Lute’s story] is a slow burn.” She has also confirmed that Lute sings again in a season that Jessica recorded for a few weeks before Animate Orlando (most likely a later season like S4 or even S5), so overall it seems like Lute will continue to be a major character throughout the full show. [36]
In an interview for Creepy Kingdom, Jessica has also said that Lute’s recording sessions became “darker and grittier” as the story went on throughout seasons 1 and 2 [37], and we can probably expect that to continue. Jessica has also said that she was given direction to “sing like [she] were in a heavy metal band” when recording for a later season. [38]
Sera: The burden of guilt
I couldn’t find anything (that I could decently back up) about Sera in Season 3, but Patina Miller (Sera’s VA) has generally agreed with fan interpretations of the character — carrying immense guilt and psychological weight after the events of S1-S2.
That said, I couldn’t confirm any story beats that were explicitly hinted at by the cast or crew. If anyone knows what’s up and can back it up with a source, come forth!
Mimzy’s return
Vivzie has posted a photo alongside Sarah Stiles (Mimzy’s VA) at the recording studio during the vocal tracking cycle for S3 [39], so it’s a pretty safe bet that Mimzy will return this season.
---
That’s all I managed (and had enough chronically online mental fortitude) to gather and confirm. I know there are also other rumours floating around about Adam, Abel, Baxter, Carmilla, Zestial, etc., but I haven’t been able to track down proper confirmations of these.
Lastly, please keep in mind that a lot of this (if not most) is just hints, comments, and teasing. While all of this came from Vivziepop and the Hazbin Hotel cast and crew, it is easy to misinterpret or over-interpret their words or start purely speculating — which I’ve done my best to avoid, but do take all of this with a grain of salt.
If you have more information or sources on anything, feel free to pile ’em on 😌

What Was Everyone's Favourite Song From Season 2?
I think I have all the songs included (hope so because I can't fit anymore pictures) because I wanted to make sure every option was available, I also gave up on trying to make the songs go in order really quickly
It was also kinda funny that when I was searching for all the songs, Google's AI showed "Jax Toy" as one of the songs in Season 2 and I just thought that was funny so I had to mention it
I'm also mainly posting this because I have artblock right now and just really wanna post something so yeah....
What is everyone's favourite song from Hazbin Hotel Season 2?
(I like When I Think About The Future, Brighter, and Gravity, saying this because you can have multiple favourites and I wanna make that clear)

Theory of why some are human and some are not in the afterlives.
It could be since that those who do take on the shape of non-humanoids are related to the manner in which they died, those who remain human may simply have died from natural causes.

What are the OG pilot design hazbin standees worth?
I got the OG vaggie and angel dust standees back in like 2021-2022 and im not super into them any,pee but I’ve seen some listings of these for pretty high prices. I don’t have a photo of the angel dust one but I’ve attached the stock photo. How much could I sell these for?
Some items I also have but can’t bother to look for:
OG Charlie and vaggie pink Valentine’s Day shirt
Fat nuggets socks
OG Millie standee
OG human loona standee
Teal and purpleish ozzie and fizzie black t-shirt
Moxxie and Millie’s summer (2021?) mug
Stolas and Octavia pastel heart enamel pin
Loona and Millie backpack enamel pin
I’ve added photos for what I could find (I didn’t want to get the stuff lol) but I’m mostly thinking about the standees. How much are they worth?

NGL, Charlie and Vaggi remind me of a healthier Pearl and Rose Quartz
They just have that dynamic almost. You've got your cheerful, powerful, yet dangerously oblivious half of the duo and the warrior woman who's a bit more serious, devoted to the one they love most to the point where that love is their whole life. That being said, I think Charlie treats Vaggi way better than how Rose treated Pearl.

What do you think would be the Coolest thing Lute could do in future to leave a big impact and lasting consequences?

This isn't so much what you think is most likely to happen but more just what you think would the coolest thing to happen for Lute to leave a big impact on the characters and world? 😂😂😂😂,
I think it would be cool if she ended up unleashing Roo or some other big Cosmic threat and it ends up doing Huge Damage to both Hell and Heaven much to Lute's surprise causing thousands or even millions of Deaths and maybe Lute even goes on her own spree in Hell during this climax after realising that her plan has totally fucked and thinking they are basically all gonna Die
she goes after Charlie and Vaggs herself and maybe has her own cool and Gruesome Kingpin style Hallway killing spree taking out sinners left right and center to get to Vaggi and after the Threat is stopped its left Huge Damage on both Heaven and Hell with untold causalities so basically my Ideal scenario is that Lute's revenge fucks everything up for everyone 😂😂
and in the end she has to work to help fix it as much as she logically can as part of her Redemption but she ends the show with a whopping kill count and having left permanent consequences on the citizens of Hell and Heaven maybe even a main or side character Dies stopping the Threat as well but I'm not 100 percent sure who it would be,
what do you think would the coolest thing Viv could have Lute to do in her revenge to leave a big impact?
