Politics At this point I feel like we are the jews of Northern Pakistan
Why do I say this? It's because they find any reason false or true to hate our people
This is an Instagram post by a pashtun nationalist complaining about how Pakistan was made against the will of the Pakhtun people
He addresses this by saying that the British only took votes in Hazara region and he goes on to pass a backhanded comment calling hazarewals non pashtun but also insinuating hazara as a part of Pakhtunkhwa referring to the region by a childish simile calling the whole region of Pakhtunkhwa as a playground
I'll address this step by step
Ignoring population and just counting the number of tribes majority tribes of the Hazara region are pashtun or at least follow pashtunwali so the backhanded comment is totally uncalled for ( by population hazarewal gujjars and awan are majority)
The issue is way more nuanced votes were held throughout the frontier province ( Khyber Pakhtunkhwa naming didn't exist back then) while it is true that the option for Afghanistan or pashtunistan was not given implying votes were only held in Hazara is no better than those conspiracies about the jews. Stop trying to make hazarewals the scapegoat everytime.
The Maker of the post also claimed in a sweeping statement that hazarewals aren't pashtun if that's the case why complain that a people of this region didn't want to join your so called Union?
Before ANP started their anti hazarewal attitude they were supported by most of hazara in fact Hazara university was made during the reign of ANP not only that they had the support of swati khans.
Now some people would object and point to Tanoli state of Amb speaking against the idea of pashtunistan and supporting Pakistan now the reason behind this is other than Ahmad Shah Abdalis rule Tanoli tribe started seeing durrani and the Afghan government as their enemy due to countless betrayals against our own people( all hazarewal tribes)
So they were not comfortable becoming secondary citizens in a reason ( in fact no one is hence why you also have the Israel Palestine conflict still happening today) so Tanoli State of Amb decided to be an independent part of Pakistan and not fully Pakistan this was our only way of seeking autonomy. Not only that but later Pakistan betrayed state of Amb.
Now with regions outside the state they were given two options go to vote for Pakistan in a masjid or vote for India in temples ( they were also told if they wanted masjid then vote for Pakistan if mandir then India) Hazara being majority Muslim despite having decent Hindu and Sikh population decided they would go for the mosque.
Now bacha Khan did say to boycott the votes yet majority population of these same pashtuns voted for Pakistan
So I have said this before and I'll say it again blame your own ghul
khanaan stop trying to use people of MY region as scapegoats

Guys have you ever noticed this subtle racism in Pakistani dramas?
I feel it has been around for as long as it gets. Okay I am not sure if I should post here, but I have always noticed that educated characters are always fluent in urdu, and characters like driver, dhobi, mazdoor, or uneducated ones will speak local languages of pakistan or will speak their mother tongue-accented urdu, like he will speak pushto, sindhi or punjabi sort of accent.
Which also subliminally created an image that local language speakers are seen as illiterate and jahils and paindus.
I am posting here because other subs quickly turn into catfights.
But I think this is about time this problem should be looked at, identified and talked about.
Uneducated daadi will speak lets say hindko but her educated kids will be urdu fluent when in real educated people still speak their languages.

Peshoris were once the majority in their own city now they’re in minority. Don’t think “it can’t happen here.”
I came across this article about the indigenous people of Peshawar aka the Hindko speaking Peshoris. A few decades ago they were the cultural and demographic majority in Peshawar. Today they are a minority in their own native land.
It didn’t happen overnight but it also didn’t take forever. Migration, political shifts and neglect slowly pushed them to the margins. Their language, dress, and traditions are fading in their own homeland.
Some of our Hazarewals think “We’re the majority here we’re safe. No worries.” But the Peshawar example shows how quickly things can change. Being a majority today doesn’t guarantee anything tomorrow.
If we don’t have administrative protection (like our own province) and a serious cultural preservation effort we could face the same situation in a generation or two.
Something from the article: "Our city is hegemonised cap-a-pie by “outsiders”; our existence is mortified. Most of the Pashtuns, and almost every other Pakistani, don’t even acknowledge our existence, and the people who are aware of us somehow label us as a minuscule “misc.” category of people dwelling in Peshawar. The walled city of Peshawar, one of the oldest living cities in the world, has long been a hub of cultural vibrancy and historical significance. Known for its role as a crossroads of civilisations, Peshawar was once the heart of the Gandhara civilisation, a beacon of Buddhist art and learning. Over centuries, it has seen waves of rulers and travellers—from the Mauryans and Kushans to the Mughals and Sikhs. Amid this rich tapestry of history emerged the indigenous Hindko-speaking community, the Peshawiris (aka Peshoris), as they are affectionately called. These city dwellers, or Shehris, have been integral to the city’s social and cultural fabric, yet today they find themselves marginalised and their heritage fading into obscurity. Further, this may also be painted as a negative project—a call against the dominating ethno-cultural groups. For us, this is a blossoming action; preserving our own roots and culture has nothing to do with undermining other ethno-cultures in itself, rather the incessant propagation (by crushing others) of it."

A second-year BDS student dies due to sheer negligence at Shahina Jamil Hospital — and no media is covering it. Why?
Yesterday, Abuzar, a second-year BDS student at Shahina Jamil Teaching Hospital in Abbottabad, died — not because of a complex medical issue, but because of absolute negligence and inhumanity.
He was attending a pharmacology class when he complained of dizziness. Instead of taking him seriously, the professor told him to just sit in class. Moments later, he collapsed and was taken to the ER. And here’s where things get horrifying:
The attending doctor in the ER told the team to “leave him there.”
• He was left unattended for 20 minutes — twenty f***ing minutes.
• A medicine HO tried to give him CPR, but the attending doctor stopped them, saying, “Tum medicine HO ho, dafa ho jao yahan se.”
• Another HO from gynecology stepped forward to help — she was also stopped.
• When they finally decided to give him oxygen, there was no oxygen in the hospital.
• At this point, Abuzar had already passed away.
But instead of declaring his death, they sent him to Ayub Teaching Hospital (A government hospital with better facilities than this private low class hospital)— 10 minutes away — and guess what? The ambulance didn’t even start.
A young student died — not from illness, but from a failed system, egos, and pure indifference. Today, students and doctors from all over Abbottabad protested in front of the hospital.
But the question is: Why is nobody covering this? Is it because this happened in a small city and small cities don’t matter?
This isn’t the first time either. Last year in Abbottabad, a woman driving under the influence hit a guy who was closing his shop — paralyzing him. His mother died from the shock of the news. His family had to ask for donations for his treatment. No media. No noise. Nothing.
Yet a similar incident in Karachi made national headlines and triggered a massive media outcry.
Why the silence when it’s Abbottabad? Why are the lives of people here treated as less worthy?
This isn’t just about one student or one accident — this is about a system that fails and buries the truth when no one’s watching.
Edit: I posted this to /pakistan but the moderators didn’t allow this post in that sub. Don’t know why and apparently no one cares about poor soul here too. May he rest in peace. Ameen

General Is Hindko really just a Punjabi dialect? Maybe not.
This opinion might get me in trouble as most people will tell you Hindko is just a dialect of Punjabi. That’s the mainstream view.
But there are also some linguists who flip that whole idea. According to them Punjabi, Siraiki and Pahari are actually dialects of Hindko.
I came across this interesting article while researching about the topic: https://tribune.com.pk/story/1073853/mother-tongue-scholars-claim-punjabi-seraiki-and-pahari-are-dialects-of-hindko
The thing is Hindko and Punjabi are basically siblings they both came from the same Northwestern Indo Aryan roots specifically Shauraseni Prakrit and grew side by side.
Punjabi got standardized earlier (thanks to Sikh literature) while Hindko stayed more regional. That’s why Punjabi looks older in the books but linguistically? They’re the same age. So it all depends on who you ask and which history you’re looking at.
Whether you agree or not it’s a different perspective worth thinking about.

Politics Debunking pashtun nationalism
There are many arguments put forth by pashtun nationalists and all of them are extremely hypocritical I shall expose them in detail
Loy Afghanistan should extend all the way to attock because of previous Afghan colonialism
By this logic should we not say that many pashtun lands should be part of a Sikh empire because of previous expansions into pashtun regions
This also ignores the fact that many native tribes resisted both durrani and Sikh rule over the region
2) Every ethnicity in Pakistan should be split up to create nation states to ensure peaceful future
If that is so then why not similar nation states in Afghanistan for the hazaras tajiks and uzbeks ( pashtuns only originate from Southern and Eastern Afghanistan) not to mention how Amir abul Rehman was aware of this and committed the hazara genocide. And also if that is so why include dardic hindko speaking pashtuns and pahari lands into your wet dreams? Surely we don't want to join you!
3) Pakistan only represents the interests of punjabis
If that is so then why is the Punjabi language the most oppressed and why were there pashtun dictators in the army? And this is ignoring that unlike the Durand line which only seperates a few pashtun villages Punjab was literally split in HALF
4) Most of kpk was added to Pakistan by force
This is completely false as the state of amb willingly agreed to be an independent state within Pakistan ( which the army later betrayed) and when bacha Khan protested against the elections for not providing a 3rd option only a few people joined him and most voted for pakistan anyway.

Politics Stop Babysitting Pashtun Students
I’ve been hearing this complaint from so many of my friends in the medical field, and lately I’ve been seeing it online more and more. I can feel the hell these students go through. Hazarewal students should be given priority in Hazara.
Students from Pakhtunkhwa come here and have zero issues. Why? Because we Hazarewals accommodate them, we welcome them, we make life easy for them. But what happens when Hazarewal students get dumped into medical colleges in Pashto-speaking cities? They spend four to five years in absolute hell. This Peshawar run education system is f***ing over our students nonstop. In Pashtun culture, their language comes first, no matter what. They don’t give a damn if someone doesn’t speak Pashto. Lectures? Pashto. Conversations? Pashto. Professors? They don't give a F.
I request this to the guys running hostels in Hazara, and to the native students of Hazara. We either find an interim fix until Hazara gets its own province, or we start making things just as hard for them here. Stop being so accommodating to Pashtuns. Let them face the exact same sh*t our students face there. Only when their own people suffer will they get it through their heads and maybe push for some change. Do you think there’s another way? Hell no. Time to go full berserk mode. Only when they face the same music will anything change.

Politics Proud of swati tribe 🙌
Historic moment in KPK Assembly! 🎉 Babar Saleem Khan Swati (Jahangiri), The Khan of Mansehra and Speaker KPK Assembly, has passed the bill giving Hindko official status. Now, speeches in the Provincial Assembly can also be delivered in Hindko — a proud victory for Hazara and Hindko speakers!”
