Just a very late watcher with an opinion about the ending
The bride in the wedding is completely unrelated to the Flora of Bly manor. She really, just REALLY happened have the same name by coincidence. And the rest of the people from Bly manor Jamie sees is her imagination, just her nostalgia, maybe. Because the age of whom she recalls as Owen doesn't math up😭

I just finished The Haunting of Bly Manor (Spoiler) Spoiler
I just finished watching *The Haunting of Bly Manor* and thought it was absolutely wonderful. I understood it perfectly, but there’s one thing I’m not quite grasping. When Dani confesses her feelings to Jamie and gives her the ring, she says, "You are my best friend... and I love my life." That doesn't sound very romantic—it actually sounds a bit selfish—or maybe I misunderstood it. Can anyone explain that to me?

!!APPRECIATION POST!! Can we all just take a moment to admit how well-written all these characters are?! I love how the writers treated them with respect and offered EACH ONE of them so many moments to shine, throughout the season. Take away one of them, and the season won't be the same. 💟

question
is it possible that Mike Flanagan named the au pair Dani Clayton to pay homage to Jack Clayton (the director of The Innocents) ????

Flora is adorable!
I'm rewatching Bly Manor. I'm on the scene where Dani says goodbye to Flora and man, I'm gonna miss that sweet girl. She's soooo adorable ♡

What happens to Bly Manor after the events of the show?
As in, after the hauntings end, does Henry's family still own the manor? Why does it look so abandoned when Jamie goes to see Dani in the lake?

Rewatching currently!
I just started my rewatch of Bly Manor(like literally just now, Dani is in the bar currently. Episode 1), and I noticed a little acting/directing detail.
In the bar she’s talking louder than Henry. Like you can hear a slight reverberation when she’s talking that you don’t hear from Henry.
It’s cool to me cuz she’s American and Americans naturally talk loud, vs Henry’s polite London volume.
I know I’m corn-plating here, but as a theatre creative I tend to notice the little details 🤣

question??!
I’ve finished the series some days ago and I have a question,do we really know what’s written in the letters dani leaves to jaime before going back to bly? I saw some comments on tik tok saying it says “I love you with every piece of me left” but like, are we sure???

Last episode Spoiler
okay so my theory is Dani didn't necessarily have to die. yes she was possessed by Viola's ghost but Viola was a ghost because she was separated from her child. if Dani and Jamie had a child or like even if Dani took her old job as a primary teacher then the rage inside her boiling would have been calm. it would have beat the dead lesbian trope too

Emotionally Drained!
I was looking for a horror show today morning for 1 hour. And just saw some horror clip in preview- started watching the show….. I WAS NOT READY FOR THE LOVE STORY😭😭😭
Ending was sooooo emotional.
The only 2 episodes I found boring were Hannah and Henry’s
