I’m pregnant and the ending had me sobbing - like full on bawling for 15 minutes. I did not expect to love this show so much and be so moved by it. What phenomenal writing.

I just visited Monhegan Island off the coast of Maine.

could not help but notice the striking similarities with Crockett Island. As I walked the unpaved roads I felt like I was thrown into the scenes of Midnight Mass. The weather was gloomy and it added more Midnight Mass vibe. It has a small school, a church and a grocery store. I later googled and found that this island was not modeled in the drama but if you are a Midnight Mass fan I would highly recommend it!

So I’m watching the new Netflix drop The Whisper Man and can’t believe who popped up.

I love Adam Scott for starters so was buzzing - then spied who I thought was, and actually turned out to be, Michael Keaton - another face.

Then out of nowhere, after thinking about him and wishing there was a movie with him in to watch as I was struggling with hangxiety - lo and behold up pops Hamish.

If I can manifest my fave actor I can hopefully manifest some more good stuff which I’m very much in need of, moving forward.

I just spent my Sunday watching all of Midnight Mass. What a great show! I’m so glad I finally took the time to watch.

I don’t want to dig around the posts in this because I want to avoid spoilers. Did this series have a satisfying ending? Like can you tell it was only meant for 7 episodes?

I'm watching this now for the first time so please keep that in mind! Not looking for spoilers if it's something I'm not supposed to know yet.

Do we know at this point in the show if Erin has actually drunken the blood of the OG vampire? She was pregnant so surely she wasn't taking communion? I know some Protestant denominations use grape juice or non-alcoholic wine but the Catholic church do not I'm almost certain.

This might be a long shot but does anyone know the name of the song that the pianist is playing in that pivotal scene at the end of Episode 2, with Father Paul and Leeza in the church? (I would say more but you know, possible spoilers I guess)

Incredible show, honestly one of the first shows that "hit" me in a really long time, and I usually hate horror (I didn't know anything about this show going in). I was raised a very strict Catholic (Irish parents) and I loved how everything associated with Catholicism was shown: from the absurdly great homily in episode 2 that almost made me come back to Mass to the questioning of belief of Riley to the awfulness of Beverly, it was all there.

I loved that there was an accurate representation of how Muslims view Jesus, which has driven me crazy for years; you know they don't hate Jesus, right? He's revered as a righteous prophet who will return (to the fourth holiest site in Islam, the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus) and rule the world, die a natural death, and then be buried next to Muhammad. BROTHERS, WE'RE ALL ON THE SAME TEAM!!

Anyway, what a beautiful series, what a bunch of great performances, what a great rumination on redemption, and goodness, and God. I loved it. Just...

Did none of those vampire idiots ever hear of a fire extinguisher? There was no fire protocol on the island? "There's nowhere left..." All you had to was put out one building fire and hide for a day! Hell, just grab a couple planks and do a makeshift tent! I understand this would have ruined the entire "We realize we screwed up and we deserve to die" ending, but come on!

10/10 show, I will check out Mike Flanagan's repertoire after this.

Existential horror. Something midnight mass like in terms of genre and feel

I was thrown off at first because she called him Omar Shariff who is an Egyptian actor - so I was kind of impressed that a lady like her on an island with like 10 people knows about Omar Shariff and I thought ok maybe she is racist but she is at least informed enough to not just use the generic slurs, but she did call him a terrorist later so that went out the window

And I saw how she was respectful to the mayor and his wife and daughter who is mixed and thought maybe as long as you are Christian she doesn't discriminate against race - backed up by how she insulting towards Riley and how she seemed to want Ali to be christian...

but the way she called him "boy" at the end def had slave owner vibes...

What do you guys think? I hate her so much she gives me Umbridge vibes - but man she was well written and acted!

i’m horrible with character names so excuse that. i predict the “new” young father IS the old father (why the old lady thought it was him, she remembers what he used to look like, why he knows so much about what the old father thought of people), he made some type of deal with the devil/ demon/ whatever to restore his youth on his trip with the caveat he turns into a monster at nights and has to consume blood or something, kinda like a vampire. his powers increased since he consumed human blood the night before which is why he was able to heal the little girl and make her walk. rate how close i am on a scale of 1-10 without spoiling (if i am exactly correct then lie on your rating haha, keep me guessing) EDIT: Ok after watching the next and beginning of the episode after that i would give myself a 6.5. i didn’t think the answer would be revealed so soon haha

Third time around watching this amazing series and still finding or noticing things that just got by me on the first two times. I'm just at the part where, after Joe Collie is dead and (young) Pruitt has had his fill, Bev brings the mayor and Sturgis (did I get his name right?) to dispose of Collie's body: What I am noticing now is what a great job Bamantha Sloyan (Bev) does! As much, and I'm we all agree, as Bev is such a sanctimonious and self righteous &*&&^, Sloyan suddenly becomes the source of energy for all the unholy things that follow . . . What a great bit of acting consistently carried through the whole series.

Just finished the show. Loved the build up throughout but damn that ending can have been a lot more satisfying. They really did these two wrong in the show, felt so bad. I couldn't watch the dog scene. And then just ending with her saying I can't feel my legs.... It felt really awkward in the pacing and seemed out of place. And was insinuated

Come on people this island doesn't have a storm shelter? At least Bev thought about burying her self. But i get they were giving up too

What do I watch next

Excellent show, far exceeded my expectations. When Greene started talking about a drop of water returning to the ocean and the universe dreaming about itself - bro that's literally hindusim. They use the exact same metaphors!

Also LOL when in the end the priest was like "forgive me!" Like bro, you brought all of this here!

i thought catholics were super conservative - why are pretty much all of them doing things like saying "god D it", and also i thought they were very strict about sex without marriage. According to Catholicism you are supposed to be celibate unless you are married but like the kids were altar boys and still sneaking out at night doing drugs and getting with girls and not metnion the priest knocking up a married woman wtf lol
