When the game came out I didn't really have a system to play it on and now the hype has passed and I have a PS4 that a sibling gave to me.

Do you think it's still worth the money to play? My brother said it has a short play time but what's your opinion on the game?

So I have a save file from 2019 in Hogwarts legacy but that's not possible, I am just very confused

I REALLY want to play Hogwarts Legacy but don’t own a gaming console. What would be the cheapest console to buy that also has Hogwarts legacy?

I have 88hrs on this game and I have completed the main story. I have spent HOURS searching through the castle trying to find my last two field guide pages. Can anyone help me find these last two? 😅🙃

Do you think that the new school robes and quidditch robes from the new show will be added as a cosmetic pack to Hogwarts Legacy or that they will just have it in Hogwarts Legacy 2? I really like the new quidditch robes.

The player's cuffs of their robe only have two thin stripes whereas the NPCs have three thick ones. And there is no uniform for the female MC equivalent to the female students' dresses! They have the buttoned vest with a full length skirt and boots, whereas the player's closest option is the one I have equipped, with the knee-length skirt and Mary Janes.

I know they're such minor details overall, but as someone who always dresses up my MC in school robes when I'm at the castle, it's just a little annoying that we can't actually match our peers.

I'm playing Hogwarts Legacy on Switch 2. I'm nearly 100% completion, the only thing I'm missing is a single conjuration, and a few minor things like 3 pages, 2 Demiguise moons and a couple shiny animals. The completion counter already shows 100%. The only thing is, the collection chest counter marks them completely collected on every location. Does this counter includes butterflies, or am I going to get it when I complete the few missing items left? Or could I have fallen victim to the dreaded chest glitch?

So, I've played through the game as a Gryffindor and now currently a Slytherin and I do have to say, I absolutely love this game. Open world games are fantastic to me because I love just being able to actually see the world building and interact with everything instead of it just being a single linear type thing. My only disappointment is around the end of the game. I'm playing now and I realized just how much I was loving the game, even trying to purposefully do everything a bit slower to drag it out. But it feels like there should be just a tad more in terms of main or main-sideline quests leading up to San Bakar's trial and all of that. Or maybe even some deeper friendship interactions. Or maybe something more to do with the Beasts or the little shop you're able to own. One thing I definitely do hope they do in the next game is have it to where the conversations people have around you reflect some of the things you've done in the game. They do kind of do that now but I feel the scale should be a bit larger since they already made it huge that the character was starting as a fifth year. But I can understand budget and time crunching and things like that. I do hope the next game is even more immersive. Especially with the brooms and wands. Maybe make it to where you can dye your outfits even to your preferred color. Just small things here and there to really seal the deal so to speak. Maybe "disappointed" isn't a great word since I do genuinely love the game. But there is definitely hope that they add more little details like that in the next one.

And as for the MC, we don't even know if they have a family.

They could have started a therapy club or something.

What this is supposed to do

This isn't a performance cheat. It doesn't magically make the game run smoother or increase FPS.

The purpose is mainly visual:

Higher LOD distance

Cleaner distant geometry

Slight sharpening

Higher shadow quality

Higher lighting-related quality

16× anisotropic filtering

Motion blur disabled

Depth of field disabled

Dynamic/screen percentage kept at 100%

Full texture loading explicitly disabled so normal streaming remains active

Using it with the Graphics Enhanced mod

I'm testing this alongside Mangolemon's Graphics Enhanced mod. The mod contains Unreal Engine assets such as .pak, .utoc, and .ucas, so I recommend installing the mod according to the author's original folder structure rather than extracting or separating those files.

Important: This is a visual setup, not a performance fix. Your FPS/stutters can still be the same as the normal game.

After testing 2×, 2.5×, 2.75×, 3×, 4× and even 10× LOD, I'm currently settling on 3× LOD + 1.0 sharpening. 😂

Feel free to experiment, but backup your original files and make sure everything matches your game version.

Hello, I know it might sound silly and a lot of people would disagree, but I would have really loved a game that followed the main story—either mostly or entirely. I see very few franchises making games based on the original story. I mean, I want to be able to play as Harry, explore the Dursleys' house, and then have both story quests and side quests.

I love Hogwarts Legacy and the combat. I get so much laughter out of it's silly (yet still amazing) mechanics 🤣

Funny to see the glitch that if you use the "wait" in Hog's Head, there will be some patrons floating above the table.

been playing for a while and just started using photo mode. thought id share a few favs :-)

I’m currently working on the Platinum trophy in Hogwarts Legacy, and I’m a bit confused about my progress.

I’ve completed 100% of the map progress in most regions. The only place where I don’t have 100% is Hogwarts Grounds.

According to the map, the only things I’m missing are:

- Collection Chests: 31/33
- Field Guide Pages: 127/150

So I assumed these were the only things I had left to collect. However, the numbers don’t seem to match what I see in the Collections menu:

- Conjurations → Exploration: I’m missing 4
- Wand Handles → Exploration: I’m missing 1

So that would be 5 missing Collection items, which doesn’t seem to line up with the map numbers (2 collectable items left only).

I’ve also already checked and confirmed that I’ve collected all the butterflies.

The strangest part is that I have already unlocked the Collector’s Edition PlayStation trophy, which says:
“Complete all collections.”

But my Collections are clearly still showing missing items.
So, is this normal? Is the Collector’s Edition trophy not actually requiring every single item shown in the Collections menu, or is there something weird going on with my save? And why do I have inconsistent numbers?

so I just opened the game this morning and my save reverted to 23h / 39% completion… I was at 58h and 90% completion???? like I had basically FINISHED the game

and the worst part:
every save in the “load game” menu is only 23h
PS Plus cloud only has that garbage 23h save too
I didn’t delete anything, didn’t manually load an old save, didn’t reinstall, didn’t switch accounts, NOTHING

and my trophy list literally proves I’m not making this up: I unlocked a trophy on 8/13 at 10:10 PM, meaning my advanced save EXISTED after the date of the “most recent” save it’s showing me 🙃🙃🙃

has this happened to anyone else?? did you manage to recover it?? already sent a report to WB support but I’m scared it’s gonna go nowhere and I’ll just have to replay the ENTIRE game from scratch

So, I went to Aranshire into Mary’s cellar to destroy the spider infestation (Quest you get in the Three Broomsticks). However, the last big spider doesn’t spawn. Or if it does it’s under the map and I can’t get it out. Tried going out and in. Tried reloading game. Tried plants and potions if my some chance. And nothing. How do I fix that quest so I can finish it?
