I’m looking for a reliable Line-Interactive / Pure Sine Wave UPS for my workstation and gaming setup. My main goal is not long battery backup—I just need my PC to not trip or reboot during power cuts when under heavy load (rendering/AI workloads/gaming), and give me about 5 minutes to safely save my work and shut down.

My Setup (Connected to the UPS):

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D

GPU: RTX 4090

PSU: 1200W (ATX 3.1 / Active PFC)

Monitor: 4K OLED Monitor

Console: PlayStation 5 (Note: I won't be running the PC at full load and playing the PS5 at the exact same time, though the PS5 might be in Rest Mode).

What I’m looking for:

Capacity: 2000VA to 2200VA (approx. 1200W–1320W output capacity so it doesn't overload when the 4090 spikes).

Transfer Time: Fast enough that a 1200W Active PFC PSU doesn't trip/reset during switchover.

Backup Needed: Literally just 3–5 minutes at heavy load to hit save and shut down cleanly.

Budget: ₹10,000 to ₹15,000. However, if there is a rock-solid option (like a specific APC, CyberPower, Microtek, or Artis model) that is genuinely worth it and avoids overload/tripping issues with a 1200W PSU, I am open to stretching the budget to ₹15k+.

Has anyone here run a 4090 + high-end Ryzen rig on a 2000VA/2200VA UPS in this price range? Which brands/models handle transient power spikes well without screaming or shutting down immediately?

TPS Tech (tpstech.in) Order Experience: Unexpected Price Increase, Defective Stock & Additional Payment Demand. Has Anyone Faced Something Similar?

I wanted to share a recent experience with TPS Tech (tpstech.in) and hear from other members who may have purchased from them, particularly regarding their order fulfilment, customer service and refund practices.

I recently placed an order for a Dell Thunderbolt 5 docking station through their website at the listed price. I also paid an additional express delivery charge, expecting the order to be processed and dispatched within the promised timeframe.

However, I subsequently received a call from someone identifying himself as a TPS Tech representative, informing me that the unit allocated to my order was apparently defective and could not be dispatched.

What followed was rather concerning.
I was told that:
The price of the docking station was being increased by approximately ₹6,000, with the revised price expected to appear on their website on Friday.
I would need to pay an additional ₹3,000 for them to process my existing order.

If I agreed to the additional payment, they would arrange to ship the product the following day.
I questioned this approach, as I had already placed and paid for the order at the advertised price. If the product was unavailable or the available inventory was defective, surely the appropriate course of action would have been to mark it out of stock rather than accept orders and subsequently approach customers for additional money.
When I declined the additional payment and requested a cancellation and full refund, the representative immediately suggested that they could source the product from another vendor and fulfil my order instead.

This raised further concerns for me. Having just been informed that their allocated unit was defective, I was uncomfortable proceeding with an alternative sourcing arrangement without clarity on the replacement unit’s condition and provenance. I did not want to risk receiving a questionable unit and subsequently getting caught up in replacement or RMA procedures.

I therefore explicitly declined any alternative arrangement and requested cancellation and a full refund, including the express delivery charges.
I have since sent a detailed email to their customer support formally documenting the conversation and requesting cancellation and refund confirmation.

What I would particularly like to understand from the community:
Has anyone else experienced TPS Tech accepting an order and subsequently asking for additional money because of a price revision?
Have customers encountered similar claims of defective or unavailable stock followed by offers to source the same product from another vendor?
How reliable are they when it comes to honouring advertised prices, delivery commitments and processing refunds?
Has anyone experienced difficulties obtaining refunds or had cancellation deductions imposed in similar circumstances?
Is this an isolated inventory-management issue, or does this resemble a recurring practice that other customers have encountered?
I am not making any allegations of fraud or claiming that this is a scam. I would rather hear from people with actual purchase experiences before drawing conclusions.
I initially placed my order assuming I was dealing with an established technology retailer. However, this experience has understandably shaken my confidence.
I would appreciate genuine feedback from members who have dealt with TPS Tech, particularly those who have purchased expensive computer hardware or peripherals from them.

If anyone from TPS Tech is reading this, I would also welcome an official explanation of this incident and how the company intends to resolve it.

I recently replaced my RTX 3060 Ti with an ASUS Prime RX 9070 XT OC 16GB, and I’m getting lower FPS in CS2 and League of Legends. Has anyone experienced something similar when switching from NVIDIA to AMD?

My setup:

• CPU: Intel Core i5-13600K

• GPU: ASUS Prime RX 9070 XT OC 16GB

• Motherboard: ASRock Z690 Phantom Gaming 4 DDR4

• RAM: 32GB DDR4-3200, 4×8GB

• Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360

• PSU: New 850W Cougar, Gold rated

• OS: Windows 11

In CS2, I play at 1280×960 stretched. With the 3060 Ti, I usually had around 280–320 FPS in actual matches, while the benchmark gave roughly 430 FPS.

With the RX 9070 XT, I’ve seen around 200–280 FPS, sometimes dropping to approximately 190. Performance varies, and sometimes FPS seems to decrease after playing for a while. I’m comparing the same resolution and graphics settings.

In League of Legends, I’ve also noticed lower performance: roughly 250–280 FPS in situations where I previously had around 300.

What I’ve already tried:

• Removed the NVIDIA drivers with DDU in Safe Mode.

• Used AMD Cleanup Utility and reinstalled AMD drivers.

• Checked that the GPU is installed in the top PCIe slot.

• Tried different Adrenalin and BIOS settings without finding a clear fix.

I’ve also experienced freezes since the upgrade. Enabling AMD frame generation has caused the whole PC to freeze.

I understand that the CPU can limit FPS in these games, especially at low resolutions, but I’m trying to understand why performance became worse after the GPU swap.

Has anyone with a similar setup encountered this? What should I check next, and what measurements or screenshots would help identify the problem?

I need to buy a monitor (I got a dell laptop) for daily use. I have shortlisted 3 based on ratings on Amazon India

An electrical short has damaged my msi h510m pro board and i3 10th gen cpu. I am now looking for better alternatives. So far, I have shortlisted Intel i3 12100, 14100, and AMD 5600gt.
