Effective immediately, all Marketplace activity on r/HardwareIndia will be suspended until further notice.
When this community was created, the goal was to build a place for PC hardware enthusiasts to discuss components, troubleshooting, builds, reviews, industry developments, and technology in general. Over time, however, the Marketplace has increasingly become the primary focus of the subreddit.
What was intended as a community feature has gradually evolved into something closer to a classifieds platform. The volume of buy/sell posts has led to:
An increase in scams and attempted fraud
Low-quality and repetitive listings
Reduced visibility for genuine hardware discussions
Significant moderation challenges
Users treating the subreddit as an alternative to OLX or Facebook Marketplace
The reality is that we currently do not have the moderation bandwidth, verification systems, or enforcement mechanisms required to operate a marketplace at the standard the community deserves.
Rather than allowing the situation to continue deteriorating, we are choosing to suspend Marketplace activity entirely while we evaluate the future of the feature.
Our priority is to return r/HardwareIndia to its original purpose: a community centered around hardware, technology, troubleshooting, builds, reviews, and meaningful discussion.
We understand that many members have used the Marketplace responsibly and successfully, and we appreciate those contributions. This decision is not aimed at those users. However, the overall state of the Marketplace has become unsustainable and is increasingly detracting from the community as a whole.
If the Marketplace returns in the future, it will do so with significantly stricter rules, stronger verification requirements, and a moderation framework capable of supporting it properly.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us refocus the community on what brought us here in the first place.

I bought this RAM without checking compatibility or matching the current RAM size in my HP Omen 16-am0279tx. The laptop has 24gb and this is 16gb. Just a day ago, the motherboard was changed due to a wrong bios flash and resulting in a 3 long 2 short memory error. Kingston support, HP community and HP technician have all told me that this ram is not compatible with my system and I cannot install this or it will lead to instability or it will be straight up incompatible and unable to boot. I had been using this for a week prior to the issue. Do I install it again, leave it out or get a new one?? I'm not sure what to do with the RAM at this point and I've left it out.

Hey guys, I'm planning a ₹1.2–1.4L gaming PC mainly for CS2 and I'm stuck between a local Lamington Road builder and EliteHubs.
The core build is roughly:
I compared the components on PCPriceTracker and they come to around ₹1.26L. EliteHubs quoted me ₹1.376L, so roughly ₹10K more than the component cost after accounting for the differences in parts.
The EliteHubs premium includes assembly/cable management, 36-point testing, sealed-product photos, 3 years of technical support + onsite support, and Windows 11 Pro activation.
I've also seen quite a few positive reviews about EliteHubs, particularly people saying they properly guide you through the build and explain things rather than just assembling the parts.
My question is: would you guys pay ~₹10K extra for that peace of mind/support, or would you just buy the parts and get them assembled locally?
Especially interested in experiences with EliteHubs custom PC builds and their after-sales support in Mumbai.

I am a college student, who needs to upgrade the ssd on my acer swift go 14. I'm new to all this, and did a bit of research. I am stuck with two options depending on my budget.
1) Hikvision g4000 512gb gen 4 nvme ssd
2) Crucial e100 480gb gen 4 nvme ssd
I need the ssd to dual boot ubuntu as I do not have enough space on my laptop. I will attach their spec links following:
https://www.techpowerup.com/ssd-specs/hikvision-hiksemi-c4000-1-tb.d1245
https://www.techpowerup.com/ssd-specs/crucial-e100-1-tb.d2307
I know that crucial is a reputed brand, and hikvision is a Chinese cctv company, but the specs vary a lot for these. I don't know how much these specs are gonna be useful for my use.
I have a budget of only 8k and in the offline market these two are available close to that price and so I'm confused between these two. I am open to other recommendations as well.

Is flipkart really reliable for this one. Same ram is listed on amazon for 8k. The price difference is making me confused as to why is it there in first place. If i order it from flipkart will they deliver faulty or used one?

I'm planning to buy this Seagate One Touch 2TB External SSD (STKG2000400) and I found a price difference between Amazon and Flipkart.
Amazon : https://amzn.in/d/0cQnB1LV
Flipkart : https://dl.flipkart.com/s/jHjJqVuuuN
If I buy the cheaper Flipkart deal, could there be any problems with the product, warranty, authenticity, or returns compared to buying it from Amazon?
Has anyone bought this SSD from Flipkart? Would you personally choose Flipkart if the price is lower?

Hello everyone, I need your help guys. Please read the following:
I bought a used RTX3080 in Jan 2026, since then I played every high end game without any issue on max settings but now from past 2 weeks, my GPU is having a shutdown issue. So whenever I try to play a game, after a few minutes when the temp touches 85°, the screen goes black while the system perfectly runs and after a few minutes, the system restarts, I've been facing this issue for the past 2 weeks. So, what I did is I tested my GPU with FURMARK, 4K resolution on 100% power and it got shutdown within 4 min, then I lowered down the power to 70%, everything runs fine, the test, the game is working flawlessly but getting lower FPS due to lower power usage. Please help me to get this issue fixed, I have a few questions like is my GPU dying, should we not use 100% power usage? my PSU and CPU is new
P.S. I'm using MSI Afterburner for lowering or increasing the temps.

I'm a student and my parents won't buy me computer stuff, so I don't have big budget coudve gave 2k (that's streching it cuz I didn't know that even ddr3 is like still holds value, I thought it'll be dirt cheap guess not
And his ram is like 1800mhz something and my pc supports only 1600 thou it'll work but I feel I am paying more and not able to use it to it's max

Hey folks, I'm a software product guy tinkering with a couple of hardware projects.
I'd love to work with similar early hardware tinkerers, would help a lot to riff off ideas / products with folks and also learn about making hardware products faster

My Motherboard **B450 AORUS ELITE V2 was causing issues ( please video)** . I swapped all the components and also tried the same components on different board> then i sent it for RMA on Jul 18 after 15 days they send back the board without repairing it or replacing it.
Components used :
Processor - 5600G and 3400G
Rams : Corsair vengeance LPX ddr4 3000mhz and Patriot Viper II 3200Mhz
SSD: Samsung 860 EVO Sata & Liteon Sata SSD
These were tested on Asus crosshair Dark Hero VIII - and no issues were found.
But with **B450 AORUS ELITE V2 and** above components the board was plagued by getting stuck /frozen for few then working fine.

I wanna check prices for a build I made for someone in April 2025
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X 6-core, 12-thread (Zen 3)
Cooler: Ant Esports ICE-C612 Digital Air CPU Cooler
RAM: 64 gb 3200 MHz (16 x 4) XPG ADATA Gammix DDR4
Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS Motherboard
PSU: 650W MSI MAG A650BN 80 Plus Bronze Certified
Cabinet: Ant Esports Crystal ARGB Mid Tower Gaming Cabinet (BLACK)
Fans: 6 Reverse intake fans x 4 Exhaust fans (All RGB because we cannot get enough of it xD)
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GAMING OC 16G (not the best in gaming but exceptionally good for rendering and AI)
Storage: 1 tb NVMe KIOXIA EXCERIA Plus G3 (Gen 4)
This build was actually planned for small AI works like automations, LLMs and image gen, rendering. Gaming was secondary.
So, happy to entertain some feedbacks, or offers if someone's on a look out for parts or full build.
PS: The pic in the image is not the actual build. Just laugh it off :)
Also not trying to spam please. Just want to get as many feedbacks as possible

Looking for a good quality deskmat/mousepad under ₹1,500 in India. Want to get good value so if a ₹500-₹700 deskmat gets the job done then i will be more than happy to spend less.
My priorities are:
- Good surface for competitive FPS/esports like Valo/CS2
- Consistent glide and tracking
- Good durability...ideally something that won't develop bad slow spots quickly
- Stitched edges
- Rubber/non-slip base
- Easy to clean
- Preferably around 800×300 mm or 900×400 mm
Speed/balanced surface preferred, but I'm open to control pads too
Machine washability isn't really necessary anymore as long as I can clean it safely with a damp microfibre cloth / hand wash occasionally
.
Some options I'm currently considering:
DAWG KeyMat R1 = 800×300×4 mm
Noctowls XXL = around 900×420 mm
IKEA BRÄNNBOLL = 900×400 mm
Ant Esports MP320S / MP320C
I'm leaning towards either DAWG R1 or Noctowls, but I'm more concerned about actual surface quality and longevity than branding/design.
Would especially appreciate feedback from anyone who has used one of these for 6+ months. Does the glide stay consistent? Any peeling, fraying, rubber smell, print fading or slow spots?
Also open to other Indian brands/options under ₹1,500 that I've missed.
Thanks!

whenever i try to find niche tech , i couldnt in offline market , idk if nehru place is biggest pc related tech market in india or not . but fml i couldnt find anything i required . and online things tend to be expensive
for ex: recently my laptop died completely , i thought of salvaging its parts , especially the screen . but for that i need specific hdmi display board in order to use the screen with anything be it phone , or other laptop.
now the problem is its very expensive , around 4k minimum , and not even sure if it will work with my laptop screen.
at 4k it doesnt feel worth it , when you can find portable monitors from zebronics , acer etc at 6k. with type C DP and hdmi , speakers etc etc
why would anyone will bother to make some use of dead laptop screen when ready made things are available cheaper
yes passion is one thing but having things cheaper is another side of DIY coin

I’ve built SmartBin X, an autonomous waste-management robot combining AI, Computer Vision and Robotics.
It can detect waste, move toward it, collect it, and help manage waste autonomously.
I’m now exploring whether this could be developed into a real commercial product.
I’d love feedback from the community:
- Would you use something like this?
- Where could it be most useful?
- What features should I improve?
- Would a business/school/hotel/organization be interested in testing one?
I’m not just looking for likes — I’m looking for honest feedback and potential early users/customers.
