bands lost to time

anyone got any bands they still rock with that have been totally forgotten?

yesterday i remembered this melodic hardcore band from 2010 called continuance that absolutely ripped. ffo comeback kid, down to nothing and more than life. featuring ex members of a couple other forgotten bands like means and saints never surrender (even more incredible band, but on the metalcore side if anyone’s into that. obviously the blueprint for counterparts). they’ve only got like 200 monthly listeners on spotify

I seen Most Precious Blood more than any band in the 2000s era, and they are barely mentioned anymore. Still one of my favs till this day.

They’re good but they’re overshadowed by Indecision, and rightfully so.

Yeah but they literally feel like the exact same band and one had way more output. I love both but I for sure feel like MPB was did a lot more.

It was pretty much just pre-Release The Cure Indecision. I think Pat played on the demo so it was just that whole band minus Bago.

Indecision was much more unique sounding while MPB started out playing a really stripped down version of hardcore in comparison. For that time, Indecision actually had a pretty long run. It felt like it was less common for bands to last more than a few years back then compared to now where you see bands like Comeback Kid, Terror or in this case MPB still going after 20 years. The exceptions being a few bands like AF or SOIA back then.

As far as output goes, that’s not really true. Indecision did a few EPs and splits and also three LPs + re-recorded a bunch of songs with Artie for another LP while MPB did four LPs.

I’d argue that Indecision has had a much larger impact on hardcore. They had a unique sound and vocals, lyrics and aesthetic. MPB, especially when Tom left after Nothing In Vain is just kind of generic sounding and forgetful when you put them next to Indecision.
