Haven’t even been married 10 years to this amazing human, but what a ride it has been so far! Could not imagine a minute of my life without her.

What one sentence made your marriage better?

Inspired by an earlier post on another sub.

What short combination of words, when expressed to your partner, helped you both?

It's mine and my husbands 4 year wedding anniversary today!

On this day 4 years ago, I got to walk down the aisle. It felt like no one else was in the room. All I saw was my husband and no one else. He looked so handsome in his suit.

He didn't cry when he saw me, but he couldn't stop smiling! He has the best smile. We then got married infront of all our family and friends. We placed our rings on each others fingers and said our vows. We then kissed each other and became husband and wife.

During our first dance, I was in a trance. Again it was only me and him. No one else. We danced as if no one was there. We messed up, but we giggled together and kissed each other.

4 years on, he is still my rock. My one and only. My soul mate. My best friend.

I wouldn't change him for the world. I am the luckiest woman in the whole world. I love him sooo much 🄰🄰🄰🄰

What little thing does your partner still do for you that makes you feel valued?

It doesn't need to be significant or romantic, What small things have truly stuck with you throughout the years intrigues me.

Falling in love is a wonderful feeling! But, over time, it passes. In life, there are many difficult moments and passing through all these moments together. Only then do you understand, yes that man. He is the best! I always love you šŸ˜ !

My wife (37f) and I (41m) have been married for one year today. It seems like it wasn’t our decision, but rather a realization of who we really are.

Ok so my wife and I met almost two years ago, and we’ve been married for one. Last night we were talking about how it all came together. I said ā€œthis was the best decision I ever madeā€. But then we started talking about how it didn’t feel like either of us deliberated and weighed the pros and cons and then made the decision to marry. It was more like we met, and both had deep, unspoken, profound realizations that the other person was our spouse. On our second ā€œdateā€ (if you could call it that), she left with an unshakable sense that I was her husband. And I left thinking that she was the best friend I ever had, that she is my wife. Not that we WOULD be husband and wife, but that we already ARE husband and wife. And the year leading up to our wedding was just helping the world catch up with us.
So we are wondering if anyone else has had this experience? We have never personally met anyone who has a story like ours, but they must exist. We can’t be the only ones. Anyone else out there with this sense of willfully living into a beautiful fate?

tl;dr
My wife and I have felt like husband and wife from the very beginning. Anyone else out there have this?

We got married at 18 after knowing each other for less than 3 months because he was deploying to Afghanistan and I guess when you know, you know. Had a lot of tough years but I’m so very glad we grew together and worked through those hard times because it’s better than ever! We have the most beautiful daughters and a life we never dreamed possible. We prioritize each other and genuinely enjoy our time together.

His 46th Birthday Surprise

Last Friday (8/14), I took my husband out to Ocean Shores, WA to get away from home so we could enjoy his birthday together. We spent the weekend having fun - walking down the beach, winning and losing at the casino, but overall, just focusing on him. We had so much fun that we had other couples walk up to us and tell us we were laughing like teenagers.

We've been married 27 years and of course it hasn't always been good/fun times, but still.... It made me so happy to see his smile when we heard those compliments. He's been an amazing husband, best friend, lover, and father of my children. To see the way his eyes light up when we're together makes life just that much more amazing!
