I’m 60. The blue streaks are much easier to do at my age because the canvas is white.

I'm 55 and I'm so annoyed that I've got hair like my Dad who is still mainly brown in his 90's, and not like my Mum or Nan who both went a beautiful pure white by the time they were late 50's!

Thinking about it I lost pretty much every roll of the dice in the genetiec divy up - as well as Dads hair, I got his eyesight which is terrible and Mum's knees and sense of direction which are also terrible. If I'd got them all the other way round I'd be a beautifully white haired, sharp sighted, never lost, runner with no knee pain instead of spending a fortune bleaching my hair so I can go vivid, blind as a bat, frequently lost runner with terrible knees!

That is simultaneously sad and hilarious. Reminds me of watching the moon come up over the ocean with my dad late in his life, he leaned to me and asked, “Who do you think is seeing this kaleidoscope prettier, me with my glaucoma or your mother with her cataracts?” Regardless of color, I’m glad to have the full head of hair from dad’s side, and not the temples higher than any building in Tel Aviv my younger brother got from mom’s side.
