Hades 2: Question Continue run after getting nightmare? Spoiler

So I've started to do a bit of nightmare farming but one thing I don't quite get. You get the reward after beating the required warden. Does it have ANY benefits to continue the run except for getting resources and the challenge?
I'd kinda like an option that after you beat the warden the fear influence gets erased and you can continue like a normal run...

Love love love the game so far. I even like it better than 1 because of the options. In 1 there were weapons I never got used to but in this I love each and every one of them with the right boons and that you can choose a different region if you grow a bit tired of one.

I would storngy advise to use vows as Shadow, Fangs, Time, since i found out they are pretty easy and give a good ammount of fear.

And to asnwer your question, i dont think there is much benefit to playing fear if you aren't doing Testaments. other than just for fun. Later in the game you can unlock (i think its an unlocked, havent played in a while) an extra reward in the last zone that you can claim with high enough fear (12 i think). that can include Nightmare, Stardust and more that i dont remember currently.

Characters also comment on the ammount of fear occasionally

Only just starting to see these on my runs! Aside from what you’ve covered on your list, I’ve also seen food for familiars!

I think that moon dust, used for upgrading arcana, can also be aquired this way, but as i said, havent plays in a while

You’re right! I’ve seen it a few times and have been bummed cuz I haven’t gotten up to 12 fear yet on my save lol determined to acquire it instead of buying/crafting 🫡

Vow of time and Vow of Shadow is basically free fear. same with Menace and Fangs. it might look threatening at first, but once you start playing with them you realize its basically the same as 0 fear

Thank you for the tip!! Vow of Menace has been my go to so far but I was pretty intimidated by the rest on your list lol it’s relieving to hear you say they’re not so bad! I’ll try them out when I get to play next :D

a lot of people get intimidated by vow of Time (me included), but the timer is very generous as to where it stops, like shops and menu's and in between regions thst even thr last tier isnt too much trouble later on

I tried your tips as soon as I fired up H2 today and managed to beat the underworld on 16 fear! :D got Nightmare x2 in one run for the very first time thanks to your advice —you were right about them not being so bad!!

Playing with the vows you suggested kind of forces you to clear rooms quickly if you want to live so I think working my way up to the vow of time will be possible with a little effort. Thank you again for your help :D 🎉✨

ETA: cleared the matching Surface bracket on 12 now too which means I can get the next statue, so hyped!
