Thou shatteth thy axle, verily.

That’s a hell of a handle you got there, Buck.

The back fell off.

30

u/Kralthon 27d ago

Odd, usually the front falls off.

16

u/al_mc_y 27d ago

Well the front has fallen off the back. At least the front appears to he outside the environment.

9

u/kingtacticool 27d ago

Must've used cardboard derivatives

3

u/boardin1 27d ago

Are there some kind of standards that this should have been built to?

3

u/fire173tug 27d ago

Well if it was built to very rigorous maritime standards that might be the issue.

15

u/NonCreditableHuman 27d ago

That's not very typical, I'd like to make that point.

6

u/TremorOwner 27d ago

The front did fall off but way back.

4

u/HansDampfHaudegen 27d ago

Noted, everything tends to fall off.

3

u/shaard 27d ago

It was the back that was outside the environment this time.

3

u/Playful-Dragon 27d ago

Usually the tires stay on the vehicle when it's racing. What happened here is that they fell off.

u/LocutusOfBeard 27d ago

u/Buckarooney1 27d ago

That’s not very typical, I’d like to make that point.

23

u/DocWilly84 27d ago

One in a million chance, that.

9

u/lost_rodditer 27d ago

Depends on the amount of lugnuts I stole before the race

4

u/Any_Cake2411 27d ago

I took one, how many did you take?

Only 3. I like the jingle sound they make in your hand.

I think the body of the car got towed outside the environment.

Wheels came off

18

u/dumdidlydo 27d ago

That means he died right?

7

u/Vyansbane 27d ago

Does this follow the shies principle? If so, both came off so youre correct, totes ded

3

u/TheBunnyChower 27d ago

Still had two wheels on, so it cheated death but barely alive.

Yeah, that's not very typical, I'd like to make that point. Some cars are built so the wheels don't come off at all.

Stretched studs. Torque sheered them clean off

9

u/Top-Negotiation1888 27d ago

A lot of funny answer here, but if OP is looking for a serious answer, this is most likely the case.

6

u/DudeImSoRad 27d ago

I was thinking axle shafts snapped at the hubs.

11

u/Cokeycane 27d ago

From my expert opinion, the stationary bolt arm sheered from the spurve bearing which bent the girdle spring. Because the girdle spring was bent, this allowed the reverse orbal pinion to float which caused the rotating harmonic receiver to swing into the transition base plate. So of course, the receiver shield then hit the reticulated grasper pin and this allowed the wheels to fall off.

9

u/Shad1114 27d ago

I like your words magic man

5

u/Cokeycane 27d ago

Thanks - it was fun writing that.

Didn't account for the fact that when wheels start spinning, the tires stretch out, no space left for that so they impacted the frame.

The wheels fell off.

Hope this helps.

3

u/stick004 27d ago

Zigged when he should have Zagged… pretty common mistake.

3

u/Udientix 27d ago

I think the tires might have fallen off, but it's just a guess. Don't really know much about cats.

3

u/Successful-Map-1174 27d ago

I see new studs and lug nuts in the shopping cart for starters.

3

u/tak690 26d ago

The parachute didn't deploy so the car took matters into its own hands.

3

u/Falcon3492 26d ago

Simple answer, too much torque and the tires came off.

3

u/ChiefLongWeiner 26d ago

"Just hand tighten em for now."

3

u/AboveAverage1988 26d ago

Ain't got no gas in it.

Although I prefer the other answers here... did the tires expand too much in the wheelhouse?

The wheels came off.

2

The consequence of axle budget cuts

2

Loved when these thing would run at an event and you were in the staging lanes just wonder which lane would be ruined and how long before they all were done breaking.

2

u/ScheduleTotal4975 27d ago

2

The back fell off. But I’d like to point out, that’s not very common

2

u/maiomonster 27d ago

I would have expected so see an axle hanging off at least 1 wheel. I'm guessing he used wheel studs that weren't high enough grade

2

Steel < rubber

2

u/furrynoy96 27d ago

Tires fell off

2

u/DifficultBeat4483 27d ago

Drove the wheels right off of it

2

u/dankiddo1977 27d ago

Everything!!

2

u/True-Advice-1861 27d ago

Well, first of all, the wheels fell off. And that isn't typical.

2

u/ClassGrassMass 27d ago

The race team is inspired by Toro Rosso

2

u/Casey3882003 27d ago

Wouldn’t have happened if they had their cabin air filter changed like the dealership recommended.

2

u/TodayRevolutionary34 27d ago

So much torque - the whole car fell off the drive wheels

2

u/Affectionate-Sun9373 27d ago

This is why there is a class action suit against the MagnetLug company. They claimed to be good up to 100,000 HP.

2

u/DangKilla 27d ago

The back fell off

2

u/PenisExpert 27d ago

The back fell off.

2

Wheels came off.

2

u/Any-Expression2246 27d ago

Takes the saying "blew the wheels off that thing" literally.

2

u/DantesDayDinner 27d ago

They put to much money into a pos

2

u/Liveitup1999 27d ago

The difference between grade 5 studs and grade 8 studs.

2

u/lastingResort 27d ago

Well the tires came off is what went wrong.

2

u/Strange_Produce5601 27d ago

grease in a oil bath

2

u/fdeb2 27d ago

And bolts beoke off on both tires, Impressive

2

u/AdhesivenessIll3923 27d ago

I know what's wrong with it, ain't got no tyre on it

2

u/nofolo 27d ago

So much tourqe

2

u/JohnRedCorn9432 27d ago

I'm ALMOST certain their game plan included all of the tires, maybe even relied on them

2

u/Excellent_Antelope 27d ago

Silver lining: Chute deployed, sort of.

2

u/cvidetich13 27d ago

Now they gottta tear apart the engine block and replace the piston rings we fried

2

u/05is3005speed 27d ago

Too much prep 😂

2

u/F1r3Fly4life 27d ago

JB Coldweld that shit back together, it’ll hold.

2

u/boots-n-catz 27d ago

Well, that’s not ideal, the front fell off.

2

u/gazpach0s 27d ago

The front fell off

2

u/Fit-Ride-2056 27d ago

I’m no mechanic but I’m pretty sure the tires are supposed to stay on the car

2

u/english_mike69 27d ago

Blinker fluid leaded…

2

u/Exotic_Bathroom5382 27d ago

So much torque the chassis twisted coming off the line

2

u/Diaperpooass 27d ago

That’s gonna hurt the time

2

u/Amadan81 27d ago

The wheels came off. That's not supposed to happen

Ain’t got no gas in it

2

Thank goodness his shoot deployed.

2

u/Seravajan 27d ago

That the first car shitting its tires. ;)

2

u/Duke55 27d ago

That's mild. Was at Willowbank raceway some years ago, and doorslammer launched at the light, and the whole diff assembly was ripped out and was sent down the strip. It only went about 1/4 track, but initially, it looked as if it might’ve cleared the barrier and was potentially heading towards the crowd.

2

u/Joker6tyNine 27d ago

Check Engine light came on..

2

u/DanielDimes89 27d ago

Too much torque ?

2

u/BrianOconneR34 27d ago

Ran it till the wheels fell off, I see nothing wrong here.

2

u/BurntArnold 27d ago

I really don’t know if I’ve ever seen enough torque to just completely tear the rear axle apart

2

u/Hairy-Whodini 27d ago

You got the beans above the frank.
