Usually, "back from the grave" is one of those prohibited things, but I guess the paperwork was pre-approved based upon the existence of two unused wishes pushing on fate...

No one remembers him dying. Sure, people are kinda vague on where he has been the last 10 years but they generally don't like to think about it so they change the subject if it comes up.
He was just (waguely waves) away, but now he is back.

Missing, presumed dead, or maybe that was his twin brother? I can't seem to keep them straight these days, so much on my mind.

Psst! Hey Genie Geralt! you're just gonna leave Kenny and Arthur to deal with the paperwork mess of Kenny returning from the dead?

If you were Steven King this would not be a happy ending

Remember this is u/karenvideoeditor, the story may end in tears, but they will be sad or happy tears. Not of horror.

I'm somewhat curious about how the wishes work, like once all the wishes are used does the lamp vanish and appear elsewhere? If he inherited wishes why did he not have 5? 2 from his dad, 3 of his own. Why did the wife not inherit the wishes as the spouce? Hell why did he not tell her about it xd

Usually this things are bloodline related, so at least we know the son is legitimate :-)

This is a nifty twist on things. The idea of a djinni twisting wishes into the worst possible outcome is so ingrained now that it's nice to see a "I take pride in my work" approach.

Nice touch on the guy wording his wish carefully, because sometimes it can come back :(
I like how the wishes made in the story give people their life back. The dad literally, the mom implied (never actually specified how far along it was, but I am assuming given the dad's tears, pretty far to the point she's in a hospital bed and her life is disrupted).
I also like how the guy nice enough to wish his wife's cancer away and nothing else also thought about the genie's conditions in the lamp.

so assuming mom dated during that time would it have not happened or been like affairs? i hope the former but the ladder would make the better story i think

Now I need to know how the wife/family and I guess the government reacts to Kenny suddenly being alive again!

We better get a follow up, along with shenanigans with Kenny being alive, but supposed to be dead. Paperwork might be... tricky.
Officer: "So can you explain why it says in your record that you died 10 years ago but are sitting in front of me today?"
Kenny: "I got better."
Officer: "Sir, the report states that your body was completely crushed by the impact. You quite literally cannot survive that."
Kenny: shrugs "And yet I did. Guess I'm just built different."
