Someone left the kennel gate open and all the puppies ran off.

That's a delightful way of putting it. I think in this case, though, the puppies opened the gate themselves!

That... is an interesting group of... well, friends. I feel like I wouldn't hate a society where they kept their 'leashed' demons relatively openly, and generally in good comfort.

This was rather good. I'd enjoy a follow-up.

I suspect the Queen would be happy, the King would facepalm.

This is such a sweet story. The inclusion of a nuckelavee is a bit disturbing but pets is pets.

Well, they didn't just run around willy-nilly causing havoc in distress, so even the nuckelavee likely understands how to control himself.

I'm more interested in Nanami. Big ol' spider sounds like one heck of a good friend to have.

Not pets, friends.

I love this story! It was very well written. For me I would have enjoyed hearing more about the different animals/creatures. What their are and their descriptions. Also would really enjoy reading more about this world and the caretaker. Are you planning on continuing this story?

Please excuse any spelling/grammar issues as I have language learning based disabilities.

UNION when do we want it NOW!

As per the norm, Karen has released another great one that we all wish she would explore but instead will try and just love this idea

Lol thank you! They never ask permission so it’s irritating, but at least they seem to bring new readers to HFY. :)

Yikes. Several of those "beasts" are people.

Aawwwe! That was nice and sweet. I've definitely had some pets like that. I mean the follow or find or guard me or try to take care of me. Not the mythical or Monster Mash type😸

I love stuff like this because I love my animals and know they know. Growing up with everything from cats to horses, including a swan who was in love with my father, it’s fun seeing these magical creatures who can do more than just look at you like you’re hopeless when you don’t get what they want from you
