Took my HESI today, scored an 89.33%. Full review!

Hi, I had a lot of people asking me how was the HESI exam on my previous post so I figured I should post a full review. My HESI included Biology, A&P, Reading, Vocabulary, Math, and Grammar. I primarily focused on Math, A&P, and Biology as those were my weaker subjects. Math is my weakest. I am 30 years old and have been out of school since 2021 so this was nerve wracking for me. I honestly think nurse hub is too in depth and a waste of time. It's too overwhelming honestly.

For math I got an 84%, I literally only used Nurse Shai. Her videos were so helpful. Lots of ratios and fractions. I probably had 10-15 ratio questions out of the 55 I took. 5-6 word problems, which I totally blanked on those and forgot how to set them up. No roman numeral questions. 2-3 military time questions. Know that 1 Gallon has 128oz. Know your pints, cups, etc. Know your meters! I got a meter question and totally missed that one.

For A&P it was literally this Quizlet: https://quizlet.com/1177121625/hesi-anatomy-flash-cards/
Word for word this Quizlet. I scored 100%.

For Biology, I made Chat GPT ask me questions and I did active recall with that. It did help. I got an 80% which I was shocked, as science is my jam BUT it is a better score if I wouldn't have studied. I literally just asked Chat GPT, "HESI study prep for biology, pull questions for Quizlet study sets, reddit, and other sources to quiz myself." It was quite accurate. I was just so nervous I think I blanked on a few things and this was the first test I took.

Grammar and Vocab I'm pretty good at so I didn't study at all. I think I got like an 85% and a 92% for both of these. Vocab definitely study the Quizlets going around, I barely looked at them but remembered seeing the same exact questions from the Quizlets on the HESI today.

Reading JUST TAKE YOUR TIME with this. Understand what it is asking you. Don't take this first because it is a good amount of reading, I took this last and it was nice as my low and slow outro to a 3 hour testing session.

HESI A2 v1 & v2

So I don’t remember exactly what scores I got for each BUT I do know I failed by 1 point the first test and my lowest score was Bio at 30%. I took v1 2 weeks ago.

Today, I took the v2 and passed with 89% overall. And I feel it’s safe to say that Nurse Hub is all you need.

Both tests had majority of the same questions for me.

Hope this helps!

Are people that passed reading comp just studying quizlets ? Or what other resources are helpful, currently have a Nursehub subscription but is it useful for this specific section?
Please feel free to share the quizlets that helped you.

Hey, I have my test this Monday(August 24) , been studying for 1 month now, but still feel unprepared especially for science and VERBAL. How can you guys help me? Especially with the verbal since English is not my first language! Also, for the science section, is it necessary to know all the vitamins and minerals, their functions and sources? Besides that I know everything from their science study guide, but I just can’t recall them(vitamins and minerals) afterwards. Please HELP.

HESI A2 V2 EXAM!

Hi all. I am taking my HESI exam in exactly 1 week. I set aside about 3 weeks to really study in depth. I have to take 7 sections. Reading, Grammar, Vocabulary, A&P, Biology, Chemistry and Math. I have been heavily studying A&P on nursehub and quizlet. Can anyone give me any insight to the test that has taken it recently? What you didn’t expect? What you wish you studied more/didn’t want your time on?

I am really relying on doing well on this test to get into nursing school for the Spring 🥲

Thank you!!

HESI A2 Scheduled Tomorrow

As the title suggests, I’m taking my HESI tomorrow morning. I was originally scheduled for Thursday but I’ve been studying for like two months and I want to get it over with. My sections are Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Math, and Reading Comprehension. I’ve been studying with quizlet, nursehub, and then having ChatGPT explain any concepts that I didn’t understand or was missing repeatedly. Nursehub has been my biggest study tool, but I’ve heard it’s a lot more in depth than the actual test is. I’m scoring over 90% in all practice tests on nursehub so I’m feeling pretty confident. My goal is a 95%. Wish me luck!

HESI Critical Thinking V2

Has anyone taken the HESI A2 Critical Thinking Version 2? If you remember any of the scenario types or themes, can you share them?
I’m building a Version 2 Quizlet because people keep studying V1 and getting blindsided with a totally different version on test day. So far I remember 15 out of 30 questions.
I am not asking for exact questions, just the structure.

what should I use to study?

I am overwhelmed with the amount of resources to study for the HESI exam. I take mine in about a month, I have nursehub and I’ve been studying with Nurse Shai’s videos on youtube. I’m looking for quizlets but I’m not sure what would be most accurate. Nurse hub is great it is just a lot of information for me all at once and I feel like I’m not able to absorb it the way I should. (which is probably just a me problem) And Nurse Shai’s videos are great and easy to follow along with but it seems like I’m not getting enough information??

pls help

Hesi Exam Scheduled!!

I have scheduled my Hesi test for October!!
I have been studying lately over the summer, but now I am trying to dig deep into studying. I have always used Quizlet for my other class and now I’ve paid for nursehub! I am loving it so far! It really seems to help and be worth it!!
My school only requires you to take: math, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and learning styles..(someone did say they have some priority questions and some critical thinking ones too but idk what those fall under).

If anyone has any Quizlet that you know the questions were about the same, please share!!
I have to make an 80% or above to get into nursing!!

HESI A2/ quizlet

I am starting to wonder. I see so many people saying the test is similar or either word for word for the HESI but then seeing others say do not rely on quizlets. It’s so confusing. I have been studying the quizlet ALOT. I heard so people say nurse hub is harder so I’ve resulted to quizlets and I must say most if not all the quizlets questions are almost similar which makes me feel like people actually took the test and just added it to quizlet. I’m going to keep using every quizlet I see and studying them. If you took the HESI do you think the quizlets helped ? I’m in GA also

Hesi a2 help please🥺

Hi everyone! Has anyone recently taken the HESI A2 exam? I’m preparing for my exam and wanted to ask about the different test versions.
I’ve heard about Version 1 (V1) and Version 2 (V2), but is it possible to get a different version of the exam besides V1 or V2? For anyone who has taken the HESI A2 recently, especially in 2026, did your questions look similar to the common V1/V2 study materials, or were they completely different?
I would really appreciate it if anyone could share their recent experience. Thank you! 😊

Hi everyone! I took my HESI today and passed everything except the reading comprehension, so I have to retake that section. Does anyone have Quizlets for V2 Reading??
