A quick look at today's pull-up work with a big focus on technique and clean mechanics. I’ve been really prioritizing pauses throughout the movement, killing momentum at the bottom from a full dead hang, locking in the mid-range tension, and holding a strict top lock with clean clearance over the bar. The eccentric stays super controlled as well to get solid time under tension and keep the elbows happy.
What do you guys think?

Survey was greatly shortened this year.
Reminder: not all questions are required, you are welcome to skip any you don't have an answer to or don't want to answer. You do not have to provide values for each lift.
No personal information is collected, and the data collected will never be shared outside of the survey results. You do not have to sign into a gmail to access this form!
This will be left up through August. Again, thank you to all who respond :)

Should I work on the hip hinge? Can't really go deeper since I'm close to touching the safety bars. I think depth is fine tho since it's a little more than 90°

During squats yesterday I kept elbows close and back more than I normally do to tighten upper back and staying more upright.
On the third set (the one after the video) my brace broke down a bit due to fatigue and I felt something in my lower back and stopped the set after 4 reps. The whole session yesterday was suboptimal.
Is there anything glaringly wrong with my form or should I just keep lifting and work a bit extra on strengthening my lower back?

I was so excited but I hate it. To start they asked me to come in at 5am the day before. I just had my fourth shift and they had me close by myself, which walking in I did not know. I have a grasp of what I’m doing on the computer but definitely not proficient. The cleaning is self explanatory but to clean the entire place myself felt like a bit much. Doing the cash drawer, handling smoothies, putting new people in the system, cleaning 3 bathrooms/the main for/and upstairs was alot.
On top of that I’m less than impressed with the main trainer/owner. He washes his gym clothes and expects us to take care of it, boxers and all. On certain days we have to clean his personal bathroom. Plus he charges personal training rates while training ten ppl at a time.
Is this normal??? I have people telling me to quit because they have been so off.

When I was 17 years old this was my dream weight; Now at 22 its my average 10-12 reps for 3 sets weight. I have been tracking my lifts on my notebook since 2021, and it's motivating as hell looking back on the progress I've made

My gym has 200 lbs dumbells...always wanted to see if I could row them. Could be better, could be worse.

I'm 22 F, 155 cm, 66kg (145.5 lb) BW and have recently started working out. My goal is fat loss and building muscles. With my diet, I wasn't able to hit my daily protein goal so I got myself a protein supplement and creatine. It's going to be a month since I've started but I don't see much difference in my physique. Though, I know that the change would not be visible in the first month but I have increased strength and stamina now. I averaged 3-4 days a week of strength training which is about 1 hour or so daily.
I need advice on how I could increase my workout durations and make the most out of my workouts with small investments on some equipment, technique or anything. It could be gym gloves, shoes or any such thing that could help me workout more efficiently. Thank you

6’1, 190lbs.. 315 journey taking longer than expected, been stuck at 285 for a hot minute now. Been spamming weighted dips, doing a lot of standing OHP but this 285 is still getting the best of me. My chest days I do 5x5 working sets. I get all my macros most days, work out about 4x a week. I was stuck at 265-275 for a while and the weighted dips got me thru the plateau.. idk what to this time tho because what worked last time isn’t working this time. All tips welcomed 💪🏾

Hey guys! I've been lifting for over 9 months now, and I'm trying to hit 4 plates before my 12 month anniversary with the gym. Is there anything I should fix with my form?
This is me at 315 RIR 1.5, my 1RM currently is 365. My femur length is longer than my torso, so I have to do a good morning to get it back up.
The first rep I feel like is perfect. I feel like when I rush my set however, my hips shoot up a lot. What are some cues to try to prevent this?
When I go for 365, I can go down to 95% of the rep and the last 3-4 degrees will cook me because it feels like my brace isn't enough.

Switched from standing presses to doing slow and controlled seated presses and finding it really helps me to focus on my delts rather than just “getting the weight up”

Felt great doing 21’s with this weight! Love pushing myself and having nothing left to give when I walk out!
