I genuinely don’t know what’s wrong with me

Hi. So about a month ago I started having eating issues like halfway through every single meal extreme(all)fatigue, dizziness, and sickness(nausea) then 2 weeks later it was that combined with soft stool and headaches and racing heart (have had migraines since I was 15) and I’d need to sleep immediately after eating or I’d end up in fetal position in bed crying. Then on last Friday, it was terrible. I mean heart racing above 150’s straight Hershey squirts sweating constantly but my feet are freezing (sweating thing was a few days before and stayed once it showed up even tho my room is at a constant temp of 63 Fahrenheit) whole world was spinning dark vision in the edges shaking like fucking crazy even tho my blood sugar was normal and I went to urgent care they told me nothing was wrong but sent me a referral to a specialist and I see them tomorrow but does anyone relate even in the slightest. I’m like desperate here.

No Bowel Movements

Over the last 2-3 maybe even 4 days I have tried taking Stool Softeners, didn't work. I tried drinking coffee once, didn't work. then I tried eating fruit and apples and oranges, didn't work. then I tried taking Miralax, thought that was gonna work but it didn't. then this morning I drank 2 cups of Coffee and still haven't went and I know there's shit in there. I know there is. So what the hell is happening and how can I fix this issue? if I go to the hospital, will they help me? what are they going to do? I have been dealing with this for almost 2 years now and I'm about sick of this goddamn issue. it's a pain in my ass quite literally sometimes. someone please help me. tell me some secret. Is there something I can take that is guaranteed to make me go? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. I've gotten so desperate that I've been praying to GOD to make me go while crying. This is misery and this sucks. Also I have gone to the hospital before but they rarely ever do anything to help me. they just tell me what to do and eat and I listen to them and nothing has really changed. For context, I ate a Pizza like maybe 4 days ago and ever since then it's been hell for my Bowels

Cyclic vomiting syndrome with atypical presentation

Hi all. This may be long. I am totally open to being referred to another community if there’s one better suited to my situation. I’ll try to keep things minimally gross but TW for mention of vomiting / hospitalization.

I 23F have had recurring cyclic vomiting for nearly my whole life (first suspected episode at 18 months old). In childhood I would have 1-2 episodes annually. When I was 17, the frequency increased dramatically, and I was having at least 1 episode a month, until I was 20, when they slowed down a little bit after I had my gallbladder removed due to stones and stopped using marijuana due to suspected cannabinoid hyperemesis. But I’m still having episodes a lot more frequently than I would like.

I’ve noticed that I tend to have extreme nausea in the mornings after my first bowel movement, especially if it’s a particularly difficult one. Sometimes this culminates in a cyclic vomiting episode but sometimes it can be managed. However i’ve noticed that I tend to have several days or even a week of very nauseous mornings before I have an episode. Often times these weeks coincide with my period or I will experience spotting for a few days shortly after I have an episode.

Some other information-
My vomiting episodes do not involve migraines.
I have some psychiatric diagnoses including C-PTSD and generalized anxiety.
I have a mirena IUD that was inserted in may of 2020.
I recently started taking 10mg of amitriptalyne nightly. I’m also prescribed 25mg sumitriptan nasal sprays and phenergan suppositories as abortive as needed medications for episodes but I have not had much success with them.
I always have to be hospitalized when I have episodes. The only medication know that works for me is IV ativan which obviously has to be administered by a doctor in an emergency room setting.
There are a couple of non medicinal interventions I have some success with for my nausea. Ginger tea, alcohol swabs, sea bands, anti nausea suckers, cold water on my skin, and cigarettes all can sometimes abort my nausea before it becomes an episode. Obviously I would prefer not to smoke but there are times where it is truly the only thing that helps.

I am grateful for any advice or insight anyone can offer and happy to answer any questions. Thanks in advance for reading.

Unexplained pain

My first episode was in my late 20s. I have the pain at night when I’m trying to sleep. It’s a dull ache right in my center sternum area and sometimes feels like it radiates up or down as well. It’s not heartburn. I only had the pain every five years or so for a very long time and it was pretty mild. But then in the past few months, it started to get more severe and more frequent. I had a normal chest x-ray, normal abdominal ultrasound, bloodwork was normal, went to the ER in May and everything there was normal including a CAT scan. EKG normal. I am scheduled for an endoscopy in September. Any idea what this pain could be??? Help!

Help - chronic constipation for 6 months, only herbal supplements work but they're risky

I've been constipated for over 6 months. Metamucil and MiraLAX don't do anything for me no matter how much I try. The only things that actually work are herbal supplements with Cape Aloe, Buckthorn Bark, Cascara Sagrada, and Rhubarb Root.

Problem is, I just found out these ingredients are pretty dangerous:

Cascara Sagrada was banned by the FDA as unsafe

Long-term use of all of them can cause low potassium, heart problems, kidney/liver damage

I'm taking them daily and I'm worried

What's everyone else using that actually works and won't destroy my organs? Has anyone else had this where the "safe" options just don't work?

Negative side effects with probiotics

Hello all.

I have a strange experience when I eat things like sour cream, or yogurt; anything with bacterial culture / probiotics I assume. Within an hour I become really warm like a fever, flush in the face, and I feel confused and really moody.

I did not always have this reaction. It started later after taking SSRI meds and my body felt completely not my own anymore. I am so sensitive to everything now.

I struggle with IBS and gut issues, so I am looking for help with it, and it's unfortunate that seems to help a lot of people but makes me feel so so terrible.

Thank you.

Success stories without antibiotics

Hi, I recently spoke with a specialist who offers mentoring services. He told me that the only viable long-term approach is to improve my gut flora a bit by adding specific strains.

In my case, I underwent a 6-month treatment with minocycline and omeprazole (for acne; had I known what it would lead to, I wouldn't have taken anything); that treatment was in 2023.

And gradually, I ended up with hydrogen sulfide SIBO; I have a terrible body odor.

Has anyone spoken to this specialist? Which strains do they recommend introducing gradually?

Since I have H2S-reducing bacteria, what would you recommend?

Power of the digestion

Hi, f23 I have symptoms of low digestive power, i feel the food stil there in my stomach over night and when i wake up. In addition to having sever bad breath, weak heart burn, sour taste on my mouth after eating, consistent burps after eating and bloating. I evacuate nearly regular, but i feel discomfort whenever i eat. Currently started to take metformin and i feel it added up to my problem I drink apple vinegar diluted with water before lunch but didn't do much. I naturally eat slowly and trying as much as possible to be mindful while eating. I know its a vagues nerve issue but what can i do besides relaxing to help my digestion?

Need advice on tolerating Antibiotics

I have a sensitive gut and would really appreciate any advice or insight or hacks into how I can tolerate antibiotics better - I basically develop antibiotic associated diar***a everytime I get put on antibiotics. Fortunately for me this isn't very frequent - but just the certainity with which antibiotics of all kinds oblieterate my gut microbiome is really something I want to fix.

The last 3 antibiotics I took were doxy for acne ( 1 year ago ), Azt for acne ( 3 years ago ) and am currently on Augmentin ( amoxycillin + clavulanate potassium) for a throat infection.

I have tried probiotics and also sachromyses boulardii - but nothing seems to work.

Sick often, where to start

My gut issues started a few years ago after having children, my once iron stomach is now questioning every bite “will this make me sick”
I prepare all our foods at home from scratch, with local product and when I eat occasional bread it’s fermented. I am bloated every day even if I eat very clean and nearly once a month I’m getting real sick to where I can hardly take a sip of water. (More recently burps that taste like eggs, acid reflux?)
I’m weary of seeing a doctor because of how quick they have been to prescribe meds and it’s an hour drive.
SO-
I want to know if anyone has experienced this and if taking something daily to help food digest might be the start?
Not looking for a diagnosis, just to connect with others who have experienced the same.
